NOTES ON USE

This is a precision electronic appliance; avoid using it in the following cases:

  • Listening to high volume for a long time could damage your hearing.
  • Do not close the ear to the loudspeaker during step setting and volume adjustments, and in particular keep the volume down at the ignition.
  • Near strong heat sources, such as central heating plants or stoves.
  • In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.
  • In very dusty places.
  • In places subject to strong vibrations.
  • Position the appliance in such a way that there is always enough room for free air circulation (at least 5cm).
  • Do not block the air inlets.
  • If any liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately from the socket and take it to the nearest TREVI authorised service center.
  • Before switching on the appliance, always check that the power cable and the connection cable are properly installed.
  • The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water. No objects filled with liquid, such as  vases, should be placed on the unit.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on.
  • Power adaptor must be connected to a socket close to the device and must be easily accessible.
  • If you notice excessive heat on the device or power adaptor, disconnect the plug from the main power socket immediately.
  • Do not pull the power cord.
  • Keep this manual.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Use a slightly damp soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use solvents and abrasive substances.

IMPORTANT

This device is designed for home use (not professional use). This appliance has been carefully built to ensure long lasting perfect performance. However, should any inconvenience occur, please contact your local authorised TREVI Service Centre.
TREV/ follows a policy of ongoing research and development. Therefore products may have different features from those described.

WARNING FOR A CORRECT USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

  • Recharge the battery in an ambient temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
  • Don’t recharge more than the suitable period to prevent the risk of overheating and burst.
  • Recharging the battery over the suitable period or an extended period of inactivity may reduce battery duration.
  • Rechargeable battery is liable to wear and tear and its performance will reduce gradually.
  • To extend the duration of the battery use it when is completely charged up to the complete discharging, then recharge it fully before use it again. Recharge a battery not completely consumed, will result a reduced duration. In this case, repeat the full charging/discharging cycle many times.
  • Avoid recharge the battery for the whole night.

Installing the Batteries

Remove the battery cover from the Remote Control and put 2x AAA size batteries inside the compartment. The diagram inside the Battery Compartment shows the correct way to install the batteries.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

BATTERY CHARGE

  1. With the appliance off, connect the power supply cable to the socket (19) on the device. Connect the power supply to a mains socket;
  2. The Led indicator will light up in Red;
  3. When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn green;

Note:

  • For a good battery life, it is recommended to keep the device off during the charging phase.
  • Do not connect the appliance to sockets with different voltage.

POWER ON/OFF

Use the POWER ON/OFF switch (18) to turn ON and OFF the appliance.

MODE SETTING FUNCTION

To change the mode function, press more times the MODE button (13) on the unit or press button (22) on remote control to select: BLUETOOTH (the display BLUE), USB/SD (only if the USB socket (3)/Micro SD (4) is connected to a memory, the display shows for a few seconds “USB” or “SD”), AUX-IN (the display shows “LINE”).

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME

  1. Turn the VOLUME knob (11) to increase or decrease the main volume of playback, or use the buttons (31) and (29) on remote control;
  2. Press MIC button (7) on unit and turn the knob (11) to adjust the volume of the signal on the MIC1 and MIC2 input. The regulation acts on the two inputs simultaneously.

PRE-EQUALIZER

This unit has a pre-set audio equalization system. Press EQ button (28) on the remote control repeatedly to select one of the 5 audio equalizations available and which best suits the current sound reproduction.

SETTING TONE TREBLE AND BASS

Press the TREBLE/ BASS button (10) once and turn the knob (11) to adjust the treble. Press the TREBLE/ BASS button (10) twice and turn the knob (11) to adjust the bass tones.

MIC ECHO EFFECT

Press the MIC button (7) on unit twice and turn the knob (11) to increase or decrease the echo effect on the microphone.
Note: the echo only works on microphone inputs.

MIC TONE

Press the MIC button (7) on unit three times and turn the knob (11) to adjust the treble of the microphone, press the MIC button (7) again and turn the knob (11) to adjust the bass tones.

FLAME   DISCO-LIGHT EFFECTS

Press the LIGHT SW button (8) on the unit several times to select the Moving Disco-Light effect, each press will correspond to a lighting effect. Press and hold it for a few seconds to activate/ deactivate the keyboard illumination.

VOICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Press and hold the MODE (13) button on the unit or (22) button on the remote control for a few seconds to activate/ deactivate the guide voice (in English only).

FM RADIO
  1. Switch On the device and select the RADIO function (the frequency indication will appear on the display);
  2. Press the P/P (15) button on the unit or the /SCAN (25) button on remote control to start the automatic search and storage of the stations (the radio starts an automatic search for radio stations and automatically saves them in the memory). The number of stored stations depends on the radio signal in your area;
  3. Once the scan is complete, use the PREV (17) or NEXT (16) buttons on the unit, or the l◄◄ /CH- (24) and ►►I/CH+ (30) buttons on the remote control to move through the saved station presets.

Note:

  • FM reception depends a lot on the place where the device is placed.
  • The proximity of TV sets, neon lamps or other electrical appliances can cause interference in the reception of radio programs, in this case move the appliance away.

BLUETOOTH FUNCTION

  1. Switch On and press the MODE button (13) on unit, or button (22) on remote control to select the Bluetooth function;
  2. In Bluetooth mode, the “BLUE” on display will start flashing, the system automatically enters pairing mode;
  3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the external device;
  4. Search the devices and select “XF 3100 KB”;
  5. Enter the password “0000” if required;
  6. Press the P/P button (15) on the unit or /SCAN (25) button on remote control to start playing, to use PREV (17) or NEXT (16) button on unit, or l◄◄ /CH- (24) and ►►I/CH+ (30) button on remote control to select a song.

TWS FUNCTION (True wireless stereo technology)

TWS technology enables user to make wireless connection between two speakers which are same model and compatible with TWS. In TWS connection, two speakers will be automatically grouped to be a Stereo- Speaker System which outputs the left and right channel.

HOW TO CONNECT

Notice: Two speakers must be same model and both compatible with TWS.

  1. Please switch on both speakers and select “Bluetooth” mode;
  2. Press and hold NEXT button (16) on the unit, you will see “SLAU” start flashing on the display (sub speaker), which will automatically search and connect with another speaker(main speaker). “SLAU” will stop after flashing on the display after connection;
  3. Connect mobile phone or Bluetooth player to the speaker by Bluetooth. After connection, you can play music with the TWS Stereo- Speaker System.

TWS function operates in TWS mode, manipulations to the main speaker will be simultaneously effected in another speaker. For example, volume adjustments, previous and next song selection, play and pause, power on and off.

Note:

  • If the 2 loudspeakers are not paired, switch off both devices and repeat steps 1, 2 and 3.
  • The TWS function only works between equal speakers or with other speakers that use the same micro processor or solution.

USB/SD INPUT

  1. Switch on the unit;
  2. Insert a USB memory or an Micro SD card into the USB or SD slot (3 or 4). Playback starts automatically;
  3. To pause playback, press P/P (15) button on the unit or the key /SCAN (25) on remote control, the display will show “PALIS”; press it again to resume playback;
  4. Press NEXT (16) button on unit or ►►I/CH+ (30) button on remote control while listening to switch to the next track. Press PREV (17) button on unit or l◄◄ /CH- (24)on remote to go to the previous tracks;
  5. Using the numeric keypad (27) on remote co_!tlrol you can directly enter the number of the song you want to play;
  6. Press once REPEAT (14) button on unit or (26) button on remote, the display will show “ONE”, to continually play the same track; press it a second time, the display will show “ALL” to continuously play all songs in the USB/SD.

Note:

  • The player may not support some USBJSD devices, this is due to the incompatibility of some processors.
  • To avoid harmful interference, always connect USB devices directly to the unit, do not use extension cords.
  • From the computer to format the USB memory/SD FAT (16 or 32).
AUX-IN
  1. Press the MODE (13) button on unit or press (22) button on remote control and select the “LINE” function;
  2. Connect any unit equipped with audio output, through a cable 3.5mm jack to the AUX (5) input;
  3. Use the external device from their commands.
MICROPHONE
  1. Plug the supplied microphone into the MIC1 (2) or MIC2 (1) socket;
  2. Adjust the volume and ECHO effect.
VOICE RECORDING

This unit and capable of recording the vocals on the USB memory or SD card when using the supplied microphone. The device will automatically create a folder called “Record” inside the USB memory and it will store all log files.

  1. Switch On the unit;
  2. Insert a USB memory or a SD Card into the socket;
  3. Select the USB or SD functon by MODE (13) button on unit, or~ (22) button on remote control;
  4. Press REC (9) button on unit, or REC (23) button on remote control to start recording, the time signature will start;
  5. Press 2-3 second again REC (9) button on unit, or REC (23) button on remote control to stop recording. The unit will play, automatically, the recorded file.

Note:

  • You can record the voice only.
  • When the “Recording” function is activated, some appliance controls are inhibited, they will resume their normal function when the recording is stopped.
TROUBLESHOOTING

If a problem occurs, follow the steps in the table below.
If the problem still can’t be solved, please contact your retailer.

  1. Ensure the microphone is correctly plugged into the socket.
  2. Turn on the microphone.
  3. Adjust the microphone volume

No sound comes after inserting USB/SD Card.|

  1. Incorrect file format.
  2. USB/SD may not be plugged properly.

  1. File format should be MP3.

Charging indication-red light flashing when there is low charge.| Charging adapter is not inserted properly.| It will not affect the speaker system. The light is only used for indicating whether the unit is charging.
Unable to charge or the battery works only for short duration.|

  1. Connect with power cord to charge.
  2. Battery not fully charged.
  3. Battery life may have ended.

  1. Check if power cord connected properly.

  2. Extend charging time; normally it takes 6-8 hour to fully charge.

INFORMATION ON THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES

Used batteries should not be disposed of with household waste or thrown into fire or water. Used batteries should be recycled or disposed of in separate waste collection centers

BATTERY REMOVAL

Warning: Only high-qualified personnel should perform this operation! The appliance should not be plugged to the mains socket when performing this operation!

  1. Remove the screws that secure the upper control panel;
  2. Lift the control panel paying attention to the connection wires;
  3. Locate and remove the battery from its compartment.

Precautions for correct disposal of the product.

The symbol shown on the equipment indicates that waste must be disposed of in “separate collection” and so the product must not be disposed of together with urban waste. The user must take the product to special “separate waste collection centres” provided by local government, or deliver it to the retailer against the purchase of a new product. Separate collection of waste and subsequent treatment, recycling and disposal operations promotes the production of equipment with recycled materials and limits negative effects on the environment and on health caused by improper handling of waste. Illegal disposal of the product leads to the enforcement of administrative penalties.
