- Install the slide rails onto the rack by using #10-32 mounting screws;
- Put the SNA equipment onto the slide rail and push it to a proper position;
- Fix SNA equipment by using #10-32 mounting screws.
Caution: Installing the switch in a rack requires two people. One person should position the device in the rack, while the other secures it using the rack screws.
Connect ground cable
- Ensure that the rack on which the equipment is to be installed is properly grounded, and verify that the power connection to the rack ground point is good (not painted or insulated).
- Strip the insulation off one end of the ground wire attached to the equipment, connect it to the ground terminal at the back of the equipment with hydraulic pliers, and then connect the other end to the cabinet ground terminal.
Caution: The earth connection must not be removed unless all supply
connections have been disconnected.
Caution: The device must beins ttl l:d in a restricted-access location.
It should have a separate protective earthing terminal on the chassis that
must be permanently connected to earth to adequately ground the chassis and
protect the operator from electrical hazards.
Connect power cable
- Connect an external AC power source to the PSU.
- Fix the power cable to the PSU cable clamp.
Caution: Use the supplied AC power cable with the device. For International use, you may need to change the AC power cable. You must use line cord sets that have been approved for the socket type in your country.
Check device operation
- SYS LED – green means system normal operation.
- PWR LED- green means power on.
- FAN LED – green means fans on.
Connect other cables
- Connect a 100-ohm Category SE (or better) twisted-pair cable to the 1 000BASE-T RJ-45 Console port.
- Connect optical fiber /DAC cable to QSFP28 interfaces:
- If you are connecting fiber optic cables, install QSFP28 fiber transceivers and then connect fiber optic cabling to the transceiver ports.
- If you are using passive copper cables (DAC cables) for port connections, connect the QSFP28 transceivers on the end of the DAC cables directly into the QSFP28 interfaces.
The QSFP28 ports can be configured as single-lane 100G mode, dual-lane S0G mode, single-lane 40G mode, four-lane 25G mode, or four-lane 1 0G mode.
Note: The requirements for various configurations of cable installation are different. Please install according to the drawings of different models.
