Bed Head Masterpiece Hairspray
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic
safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.
DANGER: As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are
electrically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
- Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
- DO NOT use while bathing.
- DO NOT use near, place or store appliances where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
- DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquid.
- DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
- DO NOT use an appliance whose cord has become twisted, bent or otherwise damaged.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
- An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord when not in use.
- Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
- Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and wipe the
exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING:
If any malfunction occurs, DO NOT attempt to repair it yourself. This
appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
STORAGE
When not in use, “unplug it.” Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach
of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance
since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord
carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or
straining cord, especially at plug connections.

Operating Instructions
This appliance is intended for household use only.
This appliance may have a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
BARRELS WITH TOURMALINE AND CERAMIC
The easy-to-clean barrels with tourmaline gemstone and ceramic emit maximum
hair-conditioning ions and far-infrared heat, helping hair retain its own
moisture for soft, sleek straight styles in a fraction of time.
Styling Tips
- The Bed Head® Wave Artist™ Deep Waver uses a unique three-barrel design with an extra-wide middle barrel to create the deepest, smoothest waves. The barrels with ceramic emit far-infrared heat for shiny, smooth styles that last all day long.
- Hair should be clean and dried completely before using any styling tool.
- Plug the appliance into an electrical outlet and slide the On / Off switch to the “On” position. Use the heat control dial to select the appropriate heat setting for your hair type.
- IMPORTANT: When using the styling iron for the first time, select the LOWEST heat setting and test in one small section of hair for 5 to 8 seconds. If you want to use a higher setting, be sure to GRADUALLY increase the temperature. Never style hair for the first time on a high setting as this may damage your hair. Use only as much heat as you need for effective styling. Over time, using more heat than is necessary can result in hair damage. For best results, follow the guidelines below:

Wavy to medium hair| MEDIUM
Thick, hard-to-style hair| HIGH - Allow the barrels to heat for approximately 30 seconds.
- DO NOT touch heating barrels while the waver is plugged in or operating. They are extremely hot.
- When styling is complete, slide the On / Off switch to the “Off” position and unplug the styling tool.
- Allow the hair to cool before combing, brushing, or touching.
Locking Switch
When finished using the styling tool, unplug the appliance and allow it to
cool. Close the handles, then push the locking switch forward to lock the
barrels together for easier storage. To unlock the barrels, push the locking
switch back. DO NOT engage the locking switch while styling. Locking the
barrels onto the hair can cause serious damage to the hair.

PREP
Get your hair ready for distinctive masterfully sculpted waves! Section dry hair in small pieces and lightly mist with Bed Head™ Masterpiece™ Hairspray. -
STYLE
Work from the scalp to the ends of dry hair. Starting at the roots, lightly clamp a small section of hair between barrels. Hold your Bed Head® Wave Artist™ Deep Waver in this position for a few seconds, depending on your hair type. Release the handles and let the hair slip out. For continuous waves, match the outermost wave of your hair with the barrel and hold in position again for a few seconds. Repeat the process until the desired look is achieved.
NOTE: Smooth curly hair prior to waving by pulling the Wave Artist™ through hair quickly to relax curls. -
FINISH
Finish your look with a final layer of Bed Head® Masterpiece™ Hairspray to set the style and…voilà!
Limited 36-Month Warranty
This appliance is warranted against defects in material or workmanship for 36
months from date of purchase. Any problems arising from misuse, attempts at
repair, dropping or extreme wear are not covered by this warranty.
The store where this item was purchased is authorized to make an exchange only
if the return is made within 30 days from the purchase date. For exchanges
after 30 days, send the appliance postage paid along with proof of purchase, a
note explaining the reason for return, and $5.00 US to cover handling,
