Adax SolAire EXO Ceramic Electric Heater or Radiator
Safety Instructions
Read the manual before using the heater. Keep the manual for future reference. Before use, check the heater and its accessories are complete and intact. The heater must be installed as per installation instructions. The heater must be plugged into a socket that meets the following requirements: AC 230V, frequency 50/60Hz. The heater is only suitable for indoor use. Do not use the heater near flammable or explosive materials. Inserting items into the protective grill of the heater is strictly prohibited. Unplug the heater from the socket if its out of use for a long period. Prior to each use, ensure the heater is in good condition and intact. Do not plug in or use if the casing, wire or plug are damaged. The heating element may be damaged if the heater is dropped or hit. Do not use the heater if the element is broken. Unplug from the socket when moving or cleaning the heater. When disconnecting, flick the switch to the off position, then unplug. Do not pull the cable. When in use do not touch the metal housing, as it will get hot. Set aside some time to let the heater cool before handling it. The heater must not be located immediately below an electrical socket-outlet. Do not share the heater’s socket with other appliances. For risk of fire due to excessive load. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard. Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and be a fire risk. Never place the heater where it may fall into water.
CAUTION:
Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular
attention must be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
- Never cover the heater. Covering the heater risks overheating and fire.
Installation Instructions
Before installing, ensure all parts are complete and the product is intact. Follow the instructions below.
- Make sure the heater is on a level, stable and clean surface.
The diagram below demonstrates the minimum clearances required around the heater.
Wall Mounted Installation
Remove Wall bracket
To remove the bracket, place the heater face down. Open the lock (at the
top of the bracket) with a screwdriver and move the bracket down to separate
it from the heater.

Pick the lock buckle of the bracket

Push the bracket according to the direction of the arrow

Lift the bracket

Extract and remove the bracket
Fix The Bracket To The Wall
- Mark the wall according to the dimensions below.
- Then, drill the wall and insert the plastic wall anchors into the holes.
- Finally, screw the bracket to the wall using the screws provided.
- Prior to drilling, ensure there aren’t any cables or pipes within the wall. Also the mounting screws must be fixed firmly to guarantee that the heater is safely mounted to the wall.
Mount the heater to the wall bracket
P1) Tilt the heater so the lower hole aligns with the P1 on the bracket, then
hook on.
P2) After hanging, rotate the heater so it aligns with P2.
P3) Then move the heater downward and fasten the lock catch on the heater.

Manual Operation – Without WiFi
- Switching the heater on/off:
Press the standby key to switch the heater on/off.
- Temperature setting:
By default, the display will show the room’s air temperature. Press the or button to adjust the heater’s target temperature. The thermostat can be set between 5-45°. Frost protection mode is locked to 8°.
- Mode setting:
Press the “mode” button to change the heating mode: Comfort mode, Eco mode, Anti-frost mode and Weekly program mode.
- Anti Tamper Lock:
Press and hold the standby key to lock and unlock the control panel. Hold until the lock icon is displayed on the display. Repeat this step to disable the lock.
- Thermostat Calibration:
Press and hold 5 seconds. The heater will beep and show the calibrated value. The thermostat can be calibrated by + or – 9°. To change the value, press the increase or decrease key.
- Sound
Press and hold until the sound disabled Icon appears / disappears.
- Heating modes
The thermostat setting for comfort and eco mode can be changed. When the heater is set to Comfort or Eco mode, the thermostat will be set to that temperature. Press to change into comfort or eco mode. Then use the increase or decrease key to change the mode’s set temperature.
- Open window function
To activate, press and hold the mode button until the window icon is displayed. Once activated, if the air temperature drops by 4 degrees, the product will stop heating. To deactivate, hold the mode button until the window icon disappears.
- WiFi connection mode
Press and hold the key until the WiFi Icon flashes. The flashing WiFi Icon indicates that WiFi connection mode is active. There are 2 connection modes: fast blink and slow blink. Hold the key to change between modes. The Icon will flash for 120 seconds. Once expired, the WiFi connection mode will need to be re activated.
- Setting the current time and day
If the heater has not been connected to WiFi, the time and day will need to be
entered manually. This must be set in order to use the weekly programmer.
The sequence for setting the time and day is:
Press the time button once. The day will
flash. Select the current day by using the increase and decrease keys. Once
selected, press to proceed. Now the hour will flash. Select the current hour
by using the increase and decrease key. Once selected, press . Now the minute
will flash. Select the current minute by using the increase and decrease key.
Once selected, press . This will save the current time and day.
- Factory reset
Press and keys simultaneously for 5 seconds. This will cause the heater to restore factory settings. All data will be restored to the factory default.
Setting the weekly timer (Without WiFI)
Before the timer can be set, the current time must be entered into the heater.
See “Setting the current time and day” on page 8.
The weekly programme is displayed on the heater like this:
- Each line represents an hour of the day.
- A line a the top means, for that hour, the heater will be in Comfort mode.
- A line a the bottom means, for that hour, the heater will be in Eco mode.
- If no lines are present, the heater will be in Anti-frost mode.
- A flashing line indicates which hour you are setting.
- Each hour needs to be set to Comfort, Eco or Anti Frost mode.
- Enter programme mode by pressing the mode key . Programme mode is active when is displayed.
- Once in programme mode, press the programme key . The P will begin to flash. The programme can only be changed when P is flashing. (P will flash 5 seconds after the last key was pressed)
- A line on the programme display will flash. This is the hour you are setting.
- Press the mode button to select either Comfort, Eco or Anti Frost mode for that hour.
- Press the increase or decrease key to move onto the next hour.
- Repeat step 4 to select the correct mode. Then move to the next hour.
- Proceed to set each hour to whatever mode you desire.
- Once each hour has been set. Press to move onto the next day.
- To copy the previous day’s programme, press and hold for 5 seconds.
- Otherwise, repeat the previous steps and set each mode hour to whatever mode you desire.
- Once each hour has been set press to move onto the next day.
- Repeat this process from Monday – Sunday.
- To stop programming, do not press anymore keys and wait for P to stop flashing.
Connecting to WiFi

Your heater is compatible with 2 APPs: “SolAire WiFi IQ” and “Smart life”. Download either App onto your smart phone or tablet. Find the app by searching the name in to the Google Play or Apple app store.

Now you will need to create an account. If you already have an account, sign into the existing account. An account can be registered under either a phone number or email address. If you enter a phone number, a verification number will be sent to your phone: enter this number to verify, then create a password. If you enter your email address, you’ll just need to create a password.

To connect with WiFi, WiFi connection must be enabled on the heater. This is indicated by a flashing WiFi icon on the heater’s display. If the wifi icon is not flashing, go to standby mode and hold the “down” key until the WiFI icon flashes. See “WiFi connection mode” on page 8 for more details.

Once the WiFi Icon is flashing, go to the app and press Add a Device.

The App should automatically find the heater. Once this is appears press “Add”

Now press the plus Icon. Then ”Done”

Enter your WiFi details and press Confirm Then wait until the connection process is complete.
The APP must be allowed access to location in order for the WiFi name to be populated automatically.
If the heater does not appear, as shown section 4B, select the heater
manually.
Press Add device, then Select the correct device type (heater). This can be
found under “Small home appliances”, if not immediately visible. Then confirm
the indicator is flashing. You will then be prompted to enter your WiFi
password.
The app will then display its connecting
screen.
NOTE: If the heater is failing to connect, press and hold the down button
for three seconds. The WiFi light will begin to flash slowly. (Slow Blink
Mode)
The heater has two connection modes: one where the icon flashes slow, once per
second. Then the default where the icon flashes fast (three times per second).
The heater will beep and display a solid WiFi icon once the device has been
connected. The app will confirm that the heater has been connected. You can
now name the device, share it with family members, or proceed to schedule your
heating.
Using the WiFi App
The can app control multiple devices. The status of your devices is shown on
the device list:
- Offline (device is not responsive)
- Turned Off (device is in standby mode)
- Turned On (device is switched on)
When the heater is online, tap the device name to go to the control interface.
Note: when the heater is offline, you will not be able to control it with
the app.
Controlling the Heater with the APP
When the heater is online, tap the device name to open the control interface.
Note: when the heater is offline, it can not be controlled using the app.
Settings
Countdown
Set the heater to switch off after a period of time. Range = 1 – 24 hours
Schedule
Allows customization of the weekly timer via the App
Key Lock
Lock the heater from unauthorized access. The keypad will be locked and
unusable
Sound
Turn On / Off sound feedback on the heater
Screen Out
Turn On / Off the display back light
Open Window Detection
Turn On / Off the open window function
Temperature Compensation
If the heater reports a temperature that differs from the actual room
temperature the thermostat can be re calibrated. Adjust the heater’s reported
temperature until it matches your room’s temperature.
Setting the weekly timer (With WiFI)
Schedule
To edit the schedule, go to “settings”, then “schedule”.
- In “Schedule” you can programme the heater using the App.
- The heater’s weekly programme is displayed as a graph
- Tap the graph to set new intervals
- When setting a new interval, you can change the heater’s heating mode to: Comfort, ECO or Anti Frost.
- Each mode will set the heater to a different temperature. Thus letting you change the room temperature through the day.
Heating modes
When setting the heater’s weekly timer, you will set the heater to either
Comfort, ECO or anti frost mode. The temperature Comfort and Eco mode will
heat the room to can be changed. Anti Frost mode will always be set to 8
degrees.
Change the Comfort and ECO temperature by doing the following:
Setting the heating mode’s temperature without the APP
Press to enter comfort or eco mode Now adjust the mode’s temperature by
pressing or This will save the mode to the selected temperature. Whenever that
mode is selected, the heater’s thermostat will be set to that temperature.
Setting heating mode’s temperature with the APP
Change mode by pressing the mode button on
the App Then change the temperature for each mode. This will save the mode to
the selected temperature. Whenever that mode is selected, the heater’s
thermostat will be set to that temperature.
Smart Features
The “Scene” section of the app allows you to automate functions based on
different conditions. The Scene section can be reached be pressing the Scene
icon at the bottom of the app.
Automation allows you to set up actions that are triggered by external events.
Triggers can include the weather, temperature, humidity, sunset, sunrise,
device mode and your location. You can add multiple actions and triggers for
each automation event. For example, set all your heaters to come on if one is
switched on. Or to switch the heater off if its set to anti frost mode.
To create new automation, press Scene then the add button.
Voice integration
The heater is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. To connect, first
download the Smart Life or SolAire WiFi IQ skill onto your Alexa or Google
home app. If you are using the smart life App download the Smart life skill.
If you use the SolAire App, download the SolAire WiFi IQ Skill. You can then
link your Alexa or Google home app with your heating app. Depending on your
device, your voice control app may discover your heaters automatically, or you
may need to prompt it to do so. Once the “skill” is enabled and linked with
your app, you should get notifications whenever you add a new heater or create
a scenario. You can find quick guides to connecting the app to both Google
Home and Alexa in the FAQ section. Press then FAQ & Feedback.
Example commands:
- OK Google turn on *
- Alexa, switch off Glass Heater
- OK Google, switch Glass Heater to 25 degrees
- Alexa, set Glass Heater to 9 degrees
- OK Google, turn on **
- Say what you’ve named the heater in the App
- Say the name of the automation you’ve created in the app.
Sharing
You can share your devices with other accounts. Go to “Me” > Family Management
Add Member. Enter the email address or phone number of the account you’d like to share access to. This will send the account an invitation. Note you can only share to numbers and email address that are connected to app- compatible devices: smart phones or tablets. When you add the new account you can set them as an administrator or non administrator . An administrator will have all permissions, including the facility to delete other accounts Non administrator accounts can edit scenarios and devices. However but cannot add or remove them.

Cleaning and care
Maintenance
Always disconnect the appliance and let it completely cool before any maintenance. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust on grilles. Clean the outside of the unit with a damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth. Never immerse the unit in water or let water drip into the unit.
Storing
Always disconnect the appliance, let it completely cool and clean it before
storing. If you do not use the device for a long period, put back the unit and
the instruction manual to the original carton and store in a dry and
ventilated place. Do not place any heavy items on top of carton during storing
as this may damage the appliance.
Correct Disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other
household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the
environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return
your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the
retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for
environmental safe recycling.

Warranty Information
- The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year, starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
- The product has a 2 year Guarantee in the UK.
- The warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship.
- The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorized source. When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase date) must be submitted to the distributor the product was purchased from.
The warranty will not apply in cases of:
- Normal wear and tear
- Incorrect use, e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories
- Use of force, damage caused by external influences
- Damage caused by non-observance of the user manual, e.g. connection to an unsuitable mains supply or non-compliance with the installation instructions
