Thank you for choosing the Fire Protec FP44E safe by BURG-. Please read the entire instruction manual before programming and keep this manual safe so that you can revisit it at a later date.

Increasing burglary protection

Please take care to ensure codes do not fall into the wrong hands. Therefore, store the codes in a safe location so that they can only be accessed by auth orised persons. In the event you lose a code, the lock must be set to a new code.

  • The factory code (1-2-3-4-5-6) must be changed as soon as the lock  is commissioned
  • Codes that are easy to guess (e.g. 1, -2, -3, -4, -5, -6) must not be used
  • Personal data (e.g. birthdays) or other data that may be guessed with knowledge of the code owner must not be used as a code
  • After changing the code, the lock must be checked several times with the safety door opened

Attention: All changes to user codes must be carried out with the safe door open! After changing a code, the lock must be operated several times with the new code with the safe door open.

Opening

  • Press the „Start button“, the display shows „——“
  • Input one of your two 6-digit user codes. If correct the display shows „OP En“ and the green LED will light up
  • Turn the knob clockwise
  • Open the door

Tip: The safe can be opened in security mode by pressing the start button twice at the beginning The user code entered is not shown in the display

Closing

  • Close the door
  • Press the „Start button“, the display shows „——“
  • Input one of your two 6-digit user codes. If correct the display shows „OPEn“ and the green LED will light up
  • Turn the knob counter clockwise

Tip: The safe can be closed in security mode by pressing the start button twice at the beginning. The user code entered is not shown in the display.

Kleylock

It is possible to lock the keyboard to prevent accidental input.

  • To activate, press the start button for 3 seconds. The message “Act” appears in the display The key lock is activated.
  • Press the start button again for 3 seconds to deactivate. The message “d EAct” appears in the display The keyboard is active again.

Programming code(s)

The FP 44 e-safe allows for the creation of two different user codes. The code position to be programmed is selected during the following programming steps. Both user codes open the safe in the same way.

  • Open the safe door
  • Remove the cover, bottom left on the inside of the safe door
  • Press the programming button situated behind it
  • The display shows “-CodE-“, followed by “USEr_”.
  • On the keyboard, select 1 for user code 1 or 2 for user code 2
  • Press the Start button. The message “——” appears in the display
  • Enter a new 6-digit user code
  • The display shows the message “AgAIn”, followed by the message “——“
  • To confirm, re-enter the 6-digit user code
  • As confirmation “In_1” or “In_2” appears in the display. and the green LED illuminates
  • Test the new user code with the door open

Input-sounds

Switch the key and notification tones off and on again as follows This does not apply to the alarm tone if a user code is entered incorrectly several times.

  • Open the safe door
  • Remove the cover, bottom left on the inside of the safe door
  • Press and hold the programming button situated behind it for 3 seconds
  • The green LED illuminates and a warning tone sounds. The display shows the message “On-OFF”
  • Select 1 to turn the sound off or 0 to turn it on
  • Confirm your selection with the start button

Changing batteries

  • Remove the battery cover
  • Take out the old batteries
  • Insert four new batteries with correct alignment (4 x MIGNON LR6 / AA / ALKALINE)
  • Replace the battery cover

Attention: If the battery voltage is too low, “Lo_bAt” appears on the display. All four batteries need to be replaced in such case.

Warranty

BURG- products comply with the technical standards at the time of production and adhere to our own quality standards. The guarantee only covers defects which can be proved to have resulted from production or material defects at the time of purchase. The warranty ends after two years, further claims are excluded. Defects and damage caused by e.g. transport, incorrect operation, improper use, wear etc. are excluded from the warranty. The batteries are not included in the guarantee. A short description of any defects identified must be made in writing and the device returned to the place it was purchased, together with the original packaging. After the device has been tested, and within a appropriate period of time, the guarantor will decide whether or not to repair or exchange the item.

Attention :
In order to deliver a flawless and high quality product to you and to better assist you in case of service or repair, it is necessary that faulty or defective devices along with the valid  usercode be presented to your dealer together with the original documentation.

For returns, all undamaged device parts must furthermore be in the factory setting due to your right of revocation. Failure to comply with this will invalidate the warranty

Disposal of the device

Dear customer,
please help us avoid unnecessary waste. Should you intend to dispose of this device at any time, please remember that many components of this device contain valuable materials that can be recycled.

Please be aware that electrical and electronic equipment and batteries marked in this way must not be disposed of with household waste but collected separately. Please obtain information on the collecting points for electrical waste from the responsible authority of your city/municipality
