VONYX 172.594 VM-KG Series Music Mixer
Congratulations to the purchase of this Vonyx product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the product in order to benefit fully from all features. Read the manual prior to using the product. Follow the instructions in order not to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician in order to avoid electrical shock. Keep the manual for future reference.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
- Prior to using the product, please ask advice from a specialist. When the product is switched on for the first time, some smell may occur. This is normal and will disappear after a while.
- The product contains voltage carrying parts. Therefore do NOT open the housing.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the product. This may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the product near heat sources such as radiators, etc. Do not place the product on a vibrating surface. Do not cover the ventilation holes.
- The product is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- When unplugging the product from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug the product with wet hands.
- If the plug and/or the mains lead are damaged, they need to be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the product is damaged to such an extent that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug the product into a mains outlet and DO NOT switch the unit on. Contact your dealer. Do NOT connect the product to a rheostat or dimmer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the product to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect the product to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- During a thunderstorm or if the product will not be used for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains. The rule is: Unplug it from the mains when not in use.
- If the product has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room temperature before you switch it on. Never use the product in humid rooms or outdoors.
- To prevent accidents in companies, you must follow the applicable guide lines and follow the instructions.
- Do not repeatedly switch the product on and off. This shortens the life time.
- Keep the product out of the reach of children. Do not leave the product unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays to clean switches. The residues of these sprays cause deposits of dust and grease. In case of malfunction, always seek advice from a specialist.
- Do not force the controls.
- If this product is with speaker inside which can cause magnetic field. Keep the product at least 60cm away from computer or TV.
- If this product have a built-in lead-acid rechargeable battery. Please recharge the battery every 3 months if you are not going to use the product for a long period of time. Otherwise the battery may be permanently damaged.
- If the battery is damaged please replace with same specifications battery. And dispose the damaged battery environment friendly.
- If the product has fallen, always have it checked by a qualified technician before you switch the product on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit. They damage the varnish. Only clean the product with a dry cloth.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Only use original spares for repairs, otherwise serious damage and/or dangerous radiation may occur.
- Switch the product off prior to unplugging it from the mains and/or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables prior to moving the product.
- Make sure that the mains lead cannot be damaged when people walk on it. Check the mains lead before every use for damages and faults!
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if power outlet match. If you travel, make sure that the mains voltage of the country is suitable for this product.
- Keep the original packing material so that you can transport the product in safe conditions.

UNPACKING INSTRUCTION
CAUTION! Carefully unpack the box upon receipt. Check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packaging material if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all packaging materials. If the product must be returned, it is important that the product is returned in the original factory box and packaging. If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
POWERSUPPLY
On the label on the backside of the product is indicated on this type of power supply must be connected. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to this, all other voltages than specified, the light effect can be irreparably damaged. The product must also be directly connected to the mains and may be used. No dimmer or adjustable power supply. Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). CONTROL ELEMENTS

XLR MICROPHONE INPUT
Use this socket to connect a microphone (XLR, balanced). -
LINE INPUT
Use this input to connect a microphone, musical instrument or audio device (CD-player for example) to the device. The socket is supporting unbalanced 6.3mm jacks. -
PAD
Press to reduce the input gain on your channel to prevent loud input sources from overloading the preamp and clipping. You can turn on the switch if distortion is heard or the peak LED indicator is on. -
+48V PHANTOM BUTTON/LED
When the button is pressed to turn on, the LED light will illuminate, providing DC+48V phantom power to the XLR plug on microphone mono input. Turn on this function when using a condenser microphone that is powered by phantom power. -
PEAK LED INDICATOR
When the volume of input signal is too high, the LED indicator light will be flashing. In that case, rotate the gain controller counter clockwise to turn down the volume. -
GAIN
Determines the basic volume of each channel. Adjust them for the desired volume performance. When the volume level gets too high, the peak LED indicator light will be flashing. -
PAN
This is the “panorama” control or balance control, determining the position of the signal within the stereo image. When working in subgroups, you can use the pan controller to assign the signal to just one output, which gives you additional flexibility in recording situations. -
HIGH (TREBLE) CONTROLLER
Turn to adjust the high tones with 15dB at 12KHz. -
LOW CUT
Press to roll off frequencies below 100Hz, giving you cleaner audio that doesn’t cause rumbling in the subwoofer. -
MID CONTROLLER
Turn to adjust the mid tones with 15dB at 2.5KHz. -
FREQ CONTROLLER
Turn to adjust the MID frequency from 250Hz to 5kHz (MID frequency is 2.5kHz when putting the knob at the centre/middle position). -
LOW (BASS) CONTROLLER
Turn to adjust the low tones with 15dB at 80Hz. -
FX/SEND
Turn to adjust the signal level from the channel to the reverberation line. Please note: the signal level will vary with the different settings of the channel attenuator. If using the stereo channel, the signals from L and R channels will be mixed, before sending it to the reverberation line. -
CHANNEL FADER
Slide to adjust the (volume) level of the channel signal. Use these faders to adjust the balance between the various channels. -
SEND JACK
6.3mm jack to connect with power amplifier to monitor signal. -
HEADPHONE JACK
6.3mm output jack to connect headphones. -
STEREO INPUT
6.3mm jacks for connecting to line-level devices (e.g. electric keyboard). In case of only connecting to the L jack (mono), the mixer will send out the same (mono) signal to both L and R outputs. -
MAIN OUT
XLR output sockets for connecting with an active speaker or amplifier. -
CTRL ROOM
6.3mm jack output for connecting with monitoring equipment (monitor room). -
POWER
Press to turn the device ON/OFF. -
DISPLAY

USB PORT
Usable for MP3 input purposes or for computer connection (U-Disk or computer software play and record). -
MP3 BUTTON CLUSTER
- When playing U-Disk/BT streaming/PC, press this button to play or pause. When playing U-Disk, long press this button to begin recording, then long press again to exit the recording and continue with playing U-Disk.
- Press to play the previous song. Press and hold to reduce the volume level.
- Press to play the next song. Press and hold to increase the volume level.
- Press to change mode. When playing U-Disk, press and hold this button to loop playback. Press and hold again to play all in order.

PROGRAM
Select from 99 preset effects by turning this controller. The selected effect number will flash on the display, push the controller to confirm your input. -
FX/LEVEL
Control the effect input signal level. -
INPUT SWITCH
When bounced up, the input signal is from the stereo channel. Pressed down, the input signal is from USB. -
VOLUME LEVEL CONTROLLER
Turn to adjust the volume balance of each channel. -
PHONES/CTRL ROOM
Control the volume of the headphones and ctrl room outputs. -
LEVEL INDICATOR
Shows the signal level from the main output. Adjust the faders or volume level controllers to lower the level if the indicator lights up in red. -
POWER INDICATOR
Lights up when the power is on. -
MAIN FADER
Slide to adjust the overall volume from the main output signal. -
STEREO INPUT
3.5mm auxiliary stereo input jack, for connectivity with a variety of external audio devices.
BT STREAMING
Press the MODE button repeatedly to select BT mode. Now the mixer can be found by mobile device for the purpose of streaming. When pairing is successful, a sound will be emitted.
USB RECORDING OPERATION
Press the MODE button repeatedly to select REC mode. Long Press the button to start recording. The display shows the recording time. During recording, press this button to pause/resume the recording. Press and hold to exit the recording and play the recorded music. Press the MODE button to exit the REC mode.
