How to install this Wireless HDMI Dongle?
How to Connect?
Please Note:
For the extend mode, it requires the app on your phone/ tablet to have the
direct screen mirror function, only in this situation, extend mode is
available.
Make sure both dongle and your device are connected to the same Home WiFi.
Click the screen projection button in the upper right corner of the video
Apps, then select Mira Screen .
FAQ
Q: Why are the connections frequently interrupted?
Why I could not use this dongle to watch any video apps, including You Yuba ?
A: Please try the following method.
- Connect this item well
- Use your phone’s browser to search the address http://192.168.203.1 (shows on the blue screen)
- Click “Compatibility Mode”—–Turn it “ON”
( If there is no option for “Compatibility Mode”, please upgrade it. The upgrade steps are as below.)
- Use your phone’s browser to search the address 192.168.203.1 (it couldn’t be shown on Amazon, but you could find it on the blue screen)
- Click “Upgrade”—–You will see a pop-up window, then choose to upgrade it. (sometimes the pop-up window would appear automatically, just choose to upgrade it)
- Please wait for the downloading.
- After the upgrade, the item would restart. Then please connect it again.
- After connecting the item well, use your phone’s browser to search the address 192.168.203.1 (it couldn’t be shown on Amazon, but you could find it on the blue screen)
- Click “Compatibility Mode”—–Turn it “ON”
Q: Why I can not connect it?
A: You need to reset: Please try to long push the button of the middle of the
product for 5 seconds to reset it and then connect it again.
Here is the steps for Android devices:
- Plug all the cables in the device (Don’t forget to connect the USB cable to a 5V/1A charger, this device needs power to work properly )
- You would see a blue screen.
- Find the “Cast” function on your phone / laptop / PC.
- Select ‘Enable wireless display’, tap on “Mira Screen” as target, then done.
Here is the steps for Apple devices:
- Plug all the cables in the device (Don’t forget to connect the USB cable to a 5V/1A charger, this device needs power to work properly )
- You would see a blue screen, then open your phone and search the WIFI name: Mira Screen XXX, then enter Password: 12345678 (the WIFI name and password please refer to the blue screen on your TV)
- Use your phone’s browser to search the address 192.168.203.1 (it couldn’t be shown in Amazon, but you could find it on the blue screen)
- Click “Internet”—Find your home’s WIFI name—Enter password.
- Tap on AirPlay Mirroring, select Mira Screen as target, then done.
Notification:
Please check whether you have plugged the USB cable into the USB charger for
the power supply. Please don’t plug the USB cable into the TV USB Port,
because this might cause an insufficient power supply. Please connect the USB
cable to a 5V/1-2A USB charger.
Q: Why there is the lag?
A: The WIFI is 2.4G, and it would be interfered by the complicated network
surrounding. That’s the reason for the slowing issue.
Q: Why my laptop/PC can’t find a connection with this dongle?
A: Please check if your device has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions. If not, then
it would need a Wi-Fi receiver to set up the connection.
If the Mira Screen ID can not be found on your smart phone. Please feel free
to contact us.
Q: Why there is only sound or image when watching Netflix, Amazon Video,
Disney+, Sky go, or other similar apps?
A: If you are using Apple devices, please note that because of “HDCP” video
copyright protection, for Apple devices, this product is not compatible with
those subscription-based apps that need paying for watching.
If you are using Android or Windows devices, but you could not watch those
apps mentioned above, please try the following method.
- Download “Google Home” app.
- After connecting the product well, turn on your phone and search the WiFi name: Mira Screen XXX, then enter Password: 12345678 (Please check the WiFi name and password on the blue screen.)
- Open the browser and search this website: 192.168.203.1 (You could find the website on the bottom of the blue screen.)
- Click “Internet”—Find your home’s WiFi name—Enter password.
- Open the WLAN setting of your phone, and connect to your home’s WiFi.
- Open “Google Home” app, and select “Mira Screen XXX” as target. Then you could successfully see you phone showing on the TV screen:)
Q: Why there is low resolution?
A: If the product is connected well, would you mind trying the following steps
to choose the resolution?
- Open your phone and search the WIFI name: Mira Screen XXX, then enter Password: 12345678 (the WIFI name and password please refer to the blue screen on your TV)
- Use your phone’s browser to search the address 192.168.203.1 (it couldn’t be shown in Amazon, but you could find it on the blue screen)
- There is a “Resolution” choice in it. You could choose different resolution according to your needs. (We have sent the screenshot of the “Resolution” choice in the attachment; please check:) )
- After that, return to the settings of your phone’s “WLAN”, and connect to your own WIFI.
Q: Do I have to reconnect the Wi-Fi display dongle every time or will it
automatically reconnect?
A: The Wireless HDMI Dongle will automatically reconnect after the connection
is finished the first time.
Q: Why can not be felled the screen?
A: The horizontal screen depends on the proportion of the monitor.
Dos and Don’ts and Troubleshooting
- This device is used for the transmission of data via WiFi. Please don’t cloak the device with metal.
- The device is poor in wall-penetrating capability. Please don’t use it where there are partition walls.
- For the availability of a good experience, the phone or computer is ideally 3-5 meters away from the device.
- after replacing the 5V2A power adapter, please contact After-Sales via post-sales email and we will address your issues as soon as possible.
