Troubleshoot using the USB Type-C to Mini DisplayPort Cable
(Things good to know before you begin / common issues)

Your laptop or device must have a USB-C port.
For video output, your USB-C laptop or device must support DP Alt Mode over USB C, or video signals cannot be sent to your monitors. Expect Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9 Plus / S8 / S8 Plus / Note 8 and Huawei Mate 10, other USB-C smartphones and tablets are not compatible.

Having trouble with connecting USB-C laptop to the cable?
If you have problems connecting your USB-C laptop to a TV, monitor, or projector, try these resolutions to pinpoint and fix the issue.
Solution 1: Check your Mini DisplayPort and USB-C connections

Make sure both the HDMI end and USB-C end are connected correctly.

Solution 2: Restart the cable

Try restarting the cable. Disconnect it from your TV, monitor, or projector, then restart your USB-C device, and reconnect the cable.

To set the extend mode and mirror mode, here’s how:
For Mac based systems:

Go to the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner and select System Preferences.
Select Displays.
a) For Mirroring Displays -> Go to Arrangement and select “Mirror Displays” to start mirroring the display.
b) For Extending Displays -> Go to Arrangement, deselect “Mirror Displays”, open the applications you need and drag them to your desired displays.

For Windows based systems:

Press the Windows logo on the keyboard and then press P key on the keyboard.
A pop up will appear and simply choose the option you would like. Alternatively, you can use the following steps if the steps above don’t work:
a) Right click on an open area of the desktop and select screen resolution.
b) Under multiple displays, select “Duplicate these displays” or “Extend these displays”, then click OK

Solution 2: Make sure your HDTV, monitor, or projector is set to the Mini DisplayPort channel.
To check the video input settings, here’s how:
Take a DELL monitor for example and do the following:

Press the Menu Button to launch the OSD menu and display the main menu.
Press Up/Down Buttons to move between options and find the Input Source.
Use the Input Source menu to select between different video inputs that are be connected to your monitor

Solution 3: Ensure that the computer connected to the cable is running correctly and it is not in standby or hibernation mode. When the computer is in standby or hibernation mode, the external monitor display is always blank.

Problem: THE IMAGES ON THE EXTERNAL MONITOR FLUTTER
Check the display resolution setting of the computer and ensure that the resolution is supported by the cable.
To set the resolution of the external monitor, do the following:

For the Windows based system:

Click Start -> Control Panel.
Depending on your Control Panel mode, do one of the following:
a) Click Display -> Change display settings.
b) Click Appearance and Personalization -> Display -> Change display settings.
In the Resolution drop-down list box, move the slider up to increase or down to decrease the resolution of the external monitor.
Changing the Refresh Rate: Click Advanced settings -> Click the Monitor tab and change Screen refresh rate from 59Hz to 60Hz -> Click OK.

For Mac based systems:

Go to the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner and select System Preferences.
Click the Displays option and then click the Display tab.
Select the Scaled option to change your resolution.

Problem: NO AUDIO ON THE MONITORS THAT ARE CONNECTED TO THE CABLE
To resolve no sound or audio problems, following the steps below:

For Windows based system:

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound.
Click Manage audio devices under Sound to open the Sound window.
From the Playback tab on the Sound window, select the Monitor Model, and then click to Set Default button.

For Mac based systems:

Go to the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner and select System Preferences.
Select Sound -> Click the Output tab -> Select the Monitor Model for sound output.

Problem: HOW CAN I CHECK WHETHER MY DEVICE HAS THE NECESSARY DP ALT MODE?
Please refer to the user manual of your device or contact the computer’s manufacturer.

Warranty Conditions

A new product purchased in the Alza.cz sales network is guaranteed for 2 years. If you need repair or other services during the warranty period, contact the product seller directly, you must provide the original proof of purchase with the date of purchase.
The following are considered to be a conflict with the warranty conditions, for
which the claimed claim may not be recognized:

Using the product for any purpose other than that for which the product is intended or failing to follow the instructions for maintenance, operation and service of the product.
Damage to the product by a natural disaster, the intervention of an unauthorized person or mechanically through the fault of the buyer (e.g. during transport, cleaning by inappropriate means, etc.).
Natural wear and aging of consumables or components during use (such as batteries, etc.).
Exposure to adverse external influences, such as sunlight and other radiation or electromagnetic fields, fluid intrusion, object intrusion, mains overvoltage, electrostatic discharge voltage (including lightning), faulty supply or input voltage and inappropriate polarity of this voltage, chemical processes such as used power supplies, etc.
If anyone has made modifications, modifications, alterations to the design or adaptation to change or extend the functions of the product compared to the purchased design or use of non-original components.

EU Declaration of Conformity

WEEE
