SERVICING OF A DOUBLE-INSULATED PRODUCT

In a double-insulated product, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated product, nor should a means for grounding be added to the product. Servicing of a double-insulated product requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated product must be identical to those parts in the product.
A double-insulated product is marked with the words “DOUBLE INSULATION” or “DOUBLE INSULATED”

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

General

  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
  • Return pump and nozzles to package when not in use.

INFLATION

  1. Attach the nozzle to the inflation connector if necessary and hold the pump against the inflation valve on the item to be inflated.
NOTE: On large items like inflatable boats and large air mattresses, the pump will fit directly into the inflation valves and provide faster inflation times. Use the appropriate nozzle on small inflation valves as on small air mattresses, etc.

  2. Plug the AC line cord into an AC electrical outlet. See Fig (2).

  3. SWITCH ON: Press “I”; SWITCH OFF: Press “0”. See Fig (3).

FAQs

Can you leave an air pump on all the time?

In general, you should always keep the air pump running to ensure that your fish have sufficient water circulation and an abundance of oxygen to breathe.

How do I know if my air pump is double-insulated?

If the plug has two prongs and the third prong is larger than the other two, it is a double-insulated product.

What is the difference between a single and double-insulated air pump?

A single-insulated air pump has only one system of insulation, while a double- insulated air pump has two systems of insulation.

What are the benefits of having a double-insulated air pump?

The main benefit of having a double-insulated air pump is that it will not have to be grounded. This eliminates the risk of electric shock. A single- insulated air pump, on the other hand, must be grounded in order to prevent electric shock. This means that you will need to run an additional wire from the appliance to ground in order to complete the circuit. This can be dangerous because it creates an opportunity for someone to come in contact with live wires.

How do I know if my air pump is grounded?

If your air pump has three prongs, it is grounded and does not require any additional wiring or grounding. If your air pump has only two prongs, it must be wired to ground in order to prevent electric shock. If you are unsure whether or not your air pump is grounded, consult a licensed electrician or call customer service at 1-800-288-7946 for assistance.

How long does it take to charge an electric air pump?

The pump needs to be charged using household 110–120 AC voltage for 10 hours or overnight. Connect the AC adapter’s power wire to the air compressor’s power outlet.

How do the batteries go in quick-fill air pump?

Whether used inside or outside, the Intex Quick-FillTM Battery Air Pump runs on 6 C batteries. In just a few seconds, you may start inflating or deflating by plugging in the batteries and turning on the pump.

What can you use an electric air pump for?

These pumps are used to aerate water in aquariums, ponds, and vacuum cleaners, among other things. They work in a setting with little to no pressure. Additionally, the air pump continuously moves air. The electric air pump is a backpressure-free, freely flowing pump.

Do air pumps need electricity?

Air source heat pumps do indeed require power to operate. But because they are powered by solar and wind energy, they produce more heat than they use in electrical energy. Compared to other electrical home heating choices, they work far more energy efficient.

How do you deflate with an electric pump?

To inflate or deflate your inflatable object, just attach the nozzle to the inflation or deflation port, fasten it to the object, and then activate the device by pressing the power button.

How do you use an air pump without a needle?

Finding something to fit in the tiny air hole is the most challenging aspect of blowing a ball up without a pump or needle. The best answer is a compressed air canister, of course. The opening in the ball will precisely fit the little straw that is included with the canned air.
