The warranty period for this product is 24 months. The warranty shall not cover damages caused by unprofessional manipulation, neglecting the installation instructions or when using other than original components!

Thank you for buying our product.

Read before installation

The bike carrier is designed to be mounted on an approved A 50 tow bar. The carrier is intended to carry bicycles.
It must not be used to carry any other items. Load bearing capacity is 60kg.
The total load of the towbar is composed of the following values:

  • Carrier weight TRIP 2 – 13.4 kg, TRIP 2+1 – 15.5 kg, TRIP 3 – 15.6 kg, TRIP 3+1 – 16.7 kg

Installation

Check the content of the packaging.
Follow the picture diagrams during installation.

  • Screw the crossbar holder onto the carrier.
  • Attach the aluminum crossbar to the crossbar holder using coach bolts and plastic nuts – tighten in a vertical position.
  • Place the carrier onto the tow bar with the tightening lever lifted.
  • Push the lever to the bottom position, so that the safety lock snaps close.
  • Attach the number plate, connect the light plug to the socket and lock the carrier to prevent theft. The carrier must always be locked during transit!
  • Load bikes on the carrier one at a time and begin loading on the positions closest to the car. After fastening the last bike, please use the lock nut.
  • Tighten the bikes to the aluminum troughs.
  • To lift off the carrier, the locking stop bolts must slightly be loosened and the stops must be turned 90 degrees to the side. Then you can lift off the carrier. BEWARE of s sudden fall!
  • When putting the carrier back in its position, proceed in reverse order.
  • Before each journey, check that all the tightening components are tightened.

Warning:
The total weight, including the load, must not exceed the value of the vertical load of the tow bar, stated on the plate or in the instructions for use of the car. The product may be used on cars with a maximum width of 1900 mm.

  • The driver is responsible for the appropriate attachment of the carrier and its technical condition.
  • The carrier may only be used when all road regulations are observed.
  • Check the function of additional lights before each journey.
  • The transported bikes must be free of any loosely attached parts.
  • All screwing elements must be tightened, even when not in use.
  • The mounted carrier increases the length of your car. The mounted bikes may increase the width or the height of the load, so that it may exceed the car‘s profile. For this reason, it is necessary to pay increased attention during driving, and particularly when parking.
  • The carrier must always be locked using the key during transit.
  • Any damaged or destroyed parts must be replaced with new ones. Use original HAKR spare parts.
  • New parts can be ordered exclusively from the manufacturer using the bill of materials.
  • When driving with the carrier, adjust the driving to the load, road condition, and weather.
  • The manufacturer is not liable for any damages which result the non-observation of installation instructions, unqualified handling, or incorrect mounting.
  • It is forbidden to modify the carrier in any way, or to interfere with its construction.
  • If in doubt, contact the manufacturer.
