GENERAL

  • This appliance should be used as described within the instructions for use that accompany it.

  • For indoor, domestic use only. Not intended for commercial or hospital use.

  • CAUTION – Prolonged use at high-temperature setting may cause a risk of overheating or skin burns. If the appliance is used for extended periods, we advise using it on the lowest heat setting.

  • This appliance may not be used by children aged 0-3 years, helpless individuals unable to communicate heat stress or people with reduced sensitivity to heat or pain (e.g. individuals suffering from diabetic neuropathy or patients on pain medication).

  • This appliance may not be used by children aged 3-8 years unless they are supervised by an adult and understand the hazards involved.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way,
    and understand the hazards involved.

  • Keep the appliance out of reach of small children. Children should not play with the appliance or its accessories. Children less than 3 years of age should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Cleaning and user maintenance operations should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years and under supervision.

  • Do not use this product if you are using a cardiac pacemaker or implantable defibrillator as this appliance may cause electromagnetic interference. Consult your doctor before using this appliance.

  • Do not use on animals/pets.

  • CAUTION – The plastic bags and packaging used to wrap this appliance may be dangerous. To avoid the risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies and children. These bags are not toys.

  • Ensure that all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from the appliance before the first use.

OPERATION

  • Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if it has been damaged, has been cut or pierced by a sharp object or if there are clear signs of wear. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a fault, contact a qualified electrician.
  • Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance label.
  • Only use this appliance with the original control unit UHA100EU/UK.
  • Do not sleep while using or wearing this product.
  • Do not fold or bunch the fabric while the device is switched on.
  • Do not place the control unit or other objects on the fabric while the appliance is switched on.
  • Do not place the appliance on an external heat source (e.g. radiator or hot water bottle) while it is switched on.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains electricity when not in use and before cleaning. To unplug, pull the power plug from the mains socket.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord or control unit in water or other liquids. Detach the control unit and cable before washing the fabric.
  • After washing, ensure the fabric is thoroughly dry before using it again. Never use if wet.
  • Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the power plug from the mains socket. Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.
  • Do not connect this appliance to an external timer or remote-control system.
  • An extension cable may be used with caution. The electrical rating of the cable should be at least as high as that of the device. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the worktop, or touch any hot surfaces.

DISPOSAL OF THE DEVICE

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being. When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposal free of charge.

LIMITED 2-YEAR WARRANTY

A-Brand Distributors BV guarantees your appliance against material and fabrication faults for two years after your initial purchase. Should material or fabrication faults be found, A-Brand Distributors BV will repair or replace the device with a similar or better-specified product. Damage to the device due to any form of negligence, accident, lack of cleaning and maintenance, or other use or abuse that can reasonably be considered to be in conflict with the directions described in these instructions, does not fall under this warranty. Furthermore, legal provisions with respect to consumer purchases apply. In the event of a fault, we advise you to return the product together with the original proof of purchase to the store where you bought it. When the defect in the device is caused by anything other than material or fabrication faults, you may be charged for examination and repair costs.

INTENDED USE

Your Sensede heating product is designed to provide comfortable warmth. The appliance operates on 220-240V, 50Hz (mains electricity). Never try to connect the appliance to other power sources. Please always follow the safety instructions in this manual. Keep this instruction manual in a safe place so that it is available at all times. This product complies with regulatory, national and European requirements. Never try to make technical modifications to this device. We do not accept liability for accidents or damages resulting from failure to follow these operating and safety instructions.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Sensede CK10 is a flat heating pad intended for use on a chair or couch. It can be used when you are feeling cold, need help relaxing muscles or require targeted pain relief in muscles or joints. It is designed for comfort and pain relief. The 3-level control unit allows you to set the desired warmth level. The appliance is designed to warm up quickly. The product is made with super soft, cosy fleece material that is pleasant to the skin and can be hand washed at 30°C. For your safety, the product is equipped with a smart overheating sensor and an automatic 90 minute timer.

BEFORE YOU START

Please carefully read the safety instructions in this manual before getting started.

CONNECTING THE CONTROLER

To connect the control unit, plug the power connector plug into the power inlet. Make sure to fully insert the connector. If you notice the control unit light blinking after switching on the appliance, the connector plug may not be correctly inserted.Sensede-CK10-Heating-Pad-fig- \(3\)

SELECTING A WARMTH LEVEL

You can switch on the appliance and select the desired warmth setting by sliding the selection button on the control slider upwards. The selected level (1-3) will light up. You will generally notice the device becoming warm within 30 seconds. Slide the button back down to lower the warmth setting or to switch off the device (no number lit).

Settings:

  1. Minimum warmth (recommended for prolonged use)
  2. Medium warmth
  3. Maximum warmth (fast warm-up)

We recommend disconnecting the appliance from mains electricity when it is not in use. When first using the appliance a ‘new plastic’ smell may be noticeable. This will disappear over time.

90 MINUTES SAFETY TIMER

This appliance has an automatic timer. After 90 minutes of continuous use, it will automatically power down. To reactivate it, switch off the device as normal and wait approx. 5 seconds before reactivating it.

WASHING AND CARE

Always disconnect the appliance from mains electricity before cleaning operations.

Control unit and cable

  • The control unit and cable can be gently cleaned with a soft cloth.
  • The control unit and cable should never be exposed to water or other liquids.

Heating pad

  • Caution: Never switch on the appliance when the heating pad is wet/damp.
  • The heating pad can be hand washed at 30°C if it appears unclean.
  • Use a mild detergent for delicate textiles. Do not use aggressive cleaners, bleaching agents or abrasives.
  • Drying: Air dry flat only. Never machine dry. Do not iron or wring out. Do not use clothing pegs.
  • Do not wash too often. Washing will, over time, cause extra wear to the materials. We recommend hand washing your heating pad a maximum of 12 times during its service life.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • The LED number indicator on the control unit is blinking, and there is no warmth. What could be the cause?
    • The control unit senses that the power connector plug is not (properly) connected. Switch off the appliance and reconnect it. Please disconnect from mains electricity while reinserting the power connector plug.
  • The appliance will not switch on, and no number lights up. What could be the cause?
    • Check if the appliance is plugged in.
    • The control unit may have been disabled by the internal safety system. When the internal safety system detects a critical malfunction in the heating circuit, it prevents the appliance from heating up. Please do not use the appliance if it is malfunctioning or damaged and contact our service team.
