Use according to intended purpose
For machine types with a groove:
The groove is suitable for vertical cuts and bevel cuts.
For machine types with two grooves:
- Outer guide groove for bevel cuts
- Inner guide groove for vertical cuts 0° only
Note! If bevel cuts are performed, damage to the guide rail caused by cuts
Note! Damage to the new splinter guard due to the blunt saw blade
The mounted splinter guard must be cut to size to fit the saw before the first
cut. To do so, the entire length of the rail is placed onto a level surface
(board or similar). Set cutting depth to approx. 3 mm and angle scale to 0.
Turn on the portable circular saw and push evenly forward in the direction of
the cut. The resulting cut edge on the splinter guard serves as tracing edge
for straight cuts and bevel cuts.
Connecting piece F-VS (optional accessories)
The connecting piece F-VS serves to connect two guide rails. All rail lengths
can be combined with each other. For storage purposes, the connecting piece
can be completely slid into the rail.
Sliding bevel F-WA (optional accessories)
The sliding bevel F-WA allows bevel cuts between – 45° and 60° to be performed. The sliding bevel F-WA can be connected with any guide rail F with a connecting piece F-VS.
For bevel cuts, follow the procedure below:
- Set the degrees for the bevel cut by means of the scale (5) fasten the locking device (6).
- Align the sliding bevel with the workpiece.
- Cut the workpiece with the set angle.
- Bevel cut performed.
In the 90° position, the rail length of the sliding bevel F-WA is 200 mm [7.87 in]. With the setting on 0°, push the pointer into the notch with your thumb, keep depressed and fasten the locking device.

Upon presentation of the warranty document (original invoice), we will carry out all repairs free of charge in accordance with the applicable warranty provisions, processing and mounting faults free of charge on presentation of this properly filled-in Guarantee Certificate and your original receipt. This is not valid for consumables and wearing parts. For this purpose, the machine or the appliance is to be forwarded freight paid to our plant or to an authorized MAFELL repair service. Refrain from trying to carry out the repairs yourself as otherwise, your warranty claim will become extinct. We do not accept any liability for any damage resulting from improper handling or normal wear.
