WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
-
Check that the mains voltage corresponds with that shown on the rating plate of an electrical appliance before you use it.
-
Always install electrical appliances on a stable and level surface where it cannot fall over.
-
Certain parts of an electrical appliance may become warm or sometimes hot. Do not touch them as you may burn yourself.
-
Make sure your hands are dry when you touch an electrical appliance, a cord or a plug.
-
Electrical appliances must be able to lose their heat to avoid fire hazards. Therefore, make sure that the appliance has sufficient clearance around it and that it does not come into contact with flammable materials. Electrical appliances must never be covered.
-
Make sure that electrical appliances, cords or plugs do not come into contact with water.
-
Never immerse electrical appliances, cords or plugs in water or any other liquid.
-
Do not touch electrical appliances if they have fallen in the water. Immediately pull the plug out of the socket. Stop using the appliance.
-
Make sure that electrical appliances, cords and plugs do not come into contact with heat sources, such as a hot hob or open fire.
-
Never let cords hang over the edge of the sink, a worktop or a table.
-
Always remove plug from the socket when you are not using the electrical appliance.
-
Remove the plug from the socket by pulling the plug itself and not the cord.
-
Regularly check if the cord of the electrical appliance is not damaged.
Do not use the electrical appliance if the cord shows signs of damage.
If the cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, a technical service provider or a person with an equivalent qualification, to avoid any danger. -
The appliance may not be switched on with the aid of an external time switch, or by a separate system with remote control.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS APPLIANCE
- Be careful when using the appliance outdoors.
- Never use the appliance in damp or wet locations.
- Thoroughly clean the appliance after use (see Cleaning and Maintenance).
- Take care when fitting the filter. Do not use the appliance if the filter is damaged or fitted incorrectly; this could damage the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance to suck up the following objects:
- glowing or burning objects
- glass splinters or other sharp objects
- residues of plaster, cement, stone, soot, and similar
- liquids, or moist dirt.
- These objects could cause serious damage to the appliance and the filter system, and make it unsafe to use.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner on wet rugs and carpets.
- Never insert objects in the air-exhaust vents.
- Make sure that the suction and exhaust openings are open, and that the filter is not blocked. Blockages will cause the appliance to overheat. Switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately! Once you have remedied the problem, wait 20 to 30 minutes to allow the vacuum cleaner to cool down completely. It will then be ready for use again.
- Keep the nozzle and the tubes away from the body while the vacuum cleaner is running. This could cause serious injury, for example to the eyes or ears.
- Never roll the appliance over the cord.
- Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket in the event of a malfunction during use, and before emptying the appliance, cleaning the appliance, fitting or removing an accessory, or storing the appliance after use.

- a dusting brush, which you can use to clean delicate or irregular surfaces, furniture, Venetian blinds, and similar.
OPERATION – STORAGE AFTER USE
-
Remove the plug from the wall socket.
-
Press the rewind button and keep it pressed in; the power cord will automatically rewind onto the reel.
WARNING:
• Guide the power cord whilst it rewinds onto the reel, since otherwise the cord could become tangled or the plug could strike the back of the appliance. Take hold of the power cord near the mark, and allow it to gently slide through your fingers back into the appliance, see Figure 5.
-
An attachment slot for the accessory bracket is fitted to the back. Slide the bottom of the accessory bracket into the slot. This avoids the need to dismantle the vacuum cleaner after use; you can store the assembled appliance and retrieve it again quickly when you need it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE – Cleaning the housing
- Remove the plug from the wall socket.
- Clean the outer surface of all parts with a damp cloth and a cleaner suitable for plastics.
- Over the course of time dust and dirt can accumulate around the wheel axles, thereby preventing the wheels from turning easily. Consequently they should be kept clean.
WARNING:
- Never immerse the appliance, plug or power cord in water.
- Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE – Removing waste from the dust container
-
Change the dust container immediately once the ‘dust container full’ indicator turns red (see Figure 1, number 15).
WARNING:
• It is possible that the indicator turns red whilst the dust container is not yet full. If so, then the nozzle, hose or tubes may be blocked. These will then need to be cleaned. -
Remove the plug from the wall socket.
-
Remove the hose.
-
Remove the dust container by pressing the release button on the dust container (see figure 7A) and pulling on the container, and hold it above a waste-bin.
-
Press the button to open the bottom flap (see figure 7B+C).
-
If so required, use your hand to remove any waste sticking to the container.
-
Close the bottom flap, and press until it clicks into place.
-
Fit the dust container onto the appliance, and click it into position.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE – Cleaning or replacing the filter

- Take the filter from the dust separation system (D).
