POWER SOURCE

This Cassette Player operates on 2 ‘AA’ (UM-3) batteries or use a USB power supply. * please allow slight interference on AM radio reception when using USB power supply

Note: Battery and USB cable not included.

BATTERY OPERATION

For better performance and longer operating lime, we recommend the use of alkaline-type batteries.

  1. Open the BATTERY DOOR by sliding downwards and hinging upwards.

  2. Following the polarity diagram on the back cabinet, insert 2 ‘AA’ (UM-3) batteries and close the BATTERY DOOR.
    IMPORTANT: Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit.

  3. (a) Do not mix old and new batteries. (b) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

  4. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of lime, remove the batteries. Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.

  5. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode.

USB POWER SUPPLY

  1. If you are using USB power, we recommend that you remove any batteries first.
  2. Insert a micro USB cable(not supplied) into the USB port on the device and use a suitable USB power supply.
  3. Please remove any batteries from the unit if unit will not be used for a period of time.

RADIO OPERATION

  1. Put on your earphones and insert the plug of your earphones into the EARPHONE JACK.
  2. Switch the FUNCTION SELECTOR to “RADIO”.
  3. Switch the BAND SELECTOR to “AM” or “FM” for the desired band.
  4. Turn the TUNING KNOB to select the desired radio station.
  5. Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL to obtain the desired sound level.
  6. To turn the radio off, switch the FUNCTION SELECTOR to “TAPE”.

TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION

  1. The earphone cord works as an external FM antenna.
    To insure maximum FM tuner sensitivity, always keep the earphone cord fully extended. Do not wind or fold the earphone cord while listening to the radio.

  2. When tuning in AM reception, be sure to place the unit in a vertical position. For maximum AM sensitivity, keep turning the unit slowly while keeping ii vertical until the best reception is obtained.

CASSETTE PLAYER OPERATION

  1. Put on your earphones and insert the plug of your earphones into the EARPHONE JACK.
  2. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR to “TAPE” if required.
  3. Open the CASSETTE DOOR and insert a pre-recorded cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards then Push  position on cassette door to close the cassette door.
  4. Press the PLAY BUTTON and adjust the VOLUME CONTROL to obtain the desired sound level.
  5. Press the F. FWD BUTTON when you wish to rapidly advance the tape.
  6. Press the STOP BUTTON to switch off.

STANDBY SETTING

In order to preserve the battery life for as long as possible it is recommended you set the FUN CTI ON switch to the TAPE position when the unit is not in use.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:

  1. For safety.it is recommended that the headphones not be worn while on road traffic.
  2. Keep the volume set to a comfortable listening level as excess loudness could damage the user’s hearing.

RECORDING OPERATION

  1. Open the cassette door and insert a blank tape into the cassette case, before recording the music or conversation, please check the bottom of cassette tape both side A or B it must have two “Recording Lip” as shown below:

  2. Then Push position on the cassette door to Close the cassette door and select your favorite music and program from the radio or from the Mic. Adjust the volume level to suitable level or Max., press the “REC” button(ln RED color) start to record .

  3. You can monitor the recording process through your headphone or speaker.

  4. Press the “STOP” button to stop the record function .

  5. To listen to the recorded programme.you can press the F.BWD button to rewind the tape and press the PLAY button to replay the recorded programme.

  6. To prevent your recorded programme from being erased you can take out the RECORDING LIP.
    Note : The VAS switch mush be at off position. When the recording from radio,

AUTOMATIC STOP

To protect your cassette tapes and prevent unnecessary wear to the pinch roller of the cassette mechanism, this unit is equipped with an Automatic Stop System. When the tape ends during play or fast forwarding, the PLAY BUTTON will automatically release to stop the cassette from running.

CASSETTE TAPE OPERATING TIPS

  1. High quality tapes are recommended to obtain maximum quality reproduction from recordings.

  2. Use 60mins cassette for optimum performace.

  3. To obtain good reproduction, the head should be cleaned after every 10 to 20 hours of use. It is also recommended that the cassette be kept away from excessive heat or cold.

  4. If there is slack in the tape, remove the slack prior to inserting the cassette. To remove the slack, insert a pencil into the hub and rotate clockwise as shown below:

  5. A leader tape is provided at the beginning on each cassette. There is no recording on this area, so it is necessary to let the tape run for about five seconds to clear the head.

  6. Keep the tape head clean since a dirty head can cause distorted sound or improper tape speed. Depress the PLAY BUTTON and use a small cotton swab with tape head cleaner or alcohol to clean the tape head, capstan and pinch roller as shown below:

READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE USING YOUR EARPHONES

  1. Avoid extended play at very high volume as it may impair your hearing.
  2. If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce the volume or shut off your unit.
  3. Do not use while driving a motorized vehicle. This is dangerous and also illegal in some states .
  4. Keep the volume at a reasonable level even if your headset is an open-air type designed to allow you to hear outside sounds. Please note excessively high volume may still block outside sounds.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  1. Do not attempt to disassemble this unit.
  2. Make sure that pins or other foreign objects do not get inside the unit.
  3. Take care not to drop the unit or subject it to strong shocks.
  4. Inside a car which become extremely hot and softer shocks & vibrations,

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Clean your unit with a damp (neverwet) cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used.
  2. Avoid leaving your unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.
  3. Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors.
