Power Rail

Before connecting

Power Rail is a junction box that allows to connect several charging stations in series. The connection via the Power Rail requires RCD protection of the circuit.
Please note the grounding system of the charging station, which is carefully described on the following pages.
WARNING! Power Rail is a product that installed by an authorized electrician must become. A declaration of conformity must always be completed by your to be presented to the installer.
WARNING! Turn on the power supply off before you start wiring. Be extremely careful and obey the instructions carefully

Grounding plate

Before installing the Power Rail, make sure that the grounding plate is attached. The record is extreme important to ground the column for protection (PE).

  1. Make sure the top ground terminal screw is open, and then clamp that end of the plate from behind into the connector. The Grounding plate should be flat against the plastic case issue.
  2. Put the serrated washer on the bar in the column. She should be between the metal column and the Power Rail are placed.
  3. Slide the Power Rail in with the ground plate the column and lock the rail below.
  4. Fasten the grounding nut with the spring washer on the rod.essee-Base-1-Way -2-Way-Charging-figf- \(9\)
  5. NOTICE! To establish the earth connection (PE), must fasten the grounding nut and the top ground screw must be tightened (regardless of whether there is a cable in it or not).

PowerRail connections

  • The ground plate completely connects the entire track left with the metal column, so it is very important that this track exclusively for earth connections (PE) is used.
  • We recommend using the two below Connection kits for the main power cables.
  • A set of connectors is used to power up and the other used to turn off if you have one connect another charging station to the same cable would like. Cable size up to 25 mm² ALU and CU.essee-Base-1-Way -2-Way-Charging-figf- \(11\)

PowerRail wiring

  • Strip the individual cables 12 mm wide. If the cable has flexible conductors, it is recommended Use ferrules on stranded wires. Use the right tools for pressing.
  • Tighten the screw terminal with a torque of 5 Nm.
  1. NOTICE! When using ALU conductors, add dielectric grease.
  2. NOTICE! When connecting multiple backplates in parallel each screw terminal serves as a coupling point for adjacent backplates. All backplates must be in connected in the same phase sequence. If it is more convenient to use external junction boxes or Flat cables are used.
  3. NOTICE! It is recommended that the default Color codes to be observed during installation. Depending on national regulations may vary the colors of the cables differ from the illustrations. The illustrations in this Instructions comply with the IEC 60446 standard.
  4. NOTICE! Make sure before turning on the Power supply that the cables are properly connected and are tightly dressed. Test this by going to pull each cable. essee-Base-1-Way -2-Way-Charging-figf- \(14\) essee-Base-1-Way -2-Way-Charging-figf- \(15\)
