Unless it is a super slim one the case will need to be taken off. It is held very securely in place though so you don’t need to be afraid of it slipping out.
How wide are the legs of the tripod when fully extended?****
I don’t have tape to measure the legs, but it is very stable when the legs are fully extended. I’ve never had it tipped over. It’s very sturdy.
Does the phone fit into the holder securely? For my last selfie stick my phone kept slipping out of the holder.****
Yes. It will hold it securely horizontally. The phone won’t fit vertically. It has a screw in the bottom of the phone plate so you can adjust the tightness of the grip.
To pair with a device will last device need to be unpaired?****
I didn’t need to. It may depend on your device. I can have two devices turned on at the same time when using my phone.
How do I fix the broken “free rotation” mechanism? No matter how many times I move the screw, it just spins in place.****
It’s not broken. You have to attach something to the screw on top. It’s an easier way of screwing the attachments on I guess.
Does it work for an iPhone 11 with & without a case?****
Yes, it will work with or without a case, the blue tooth remote works with either iPhone or Android. You can also disconnect the base tripod legs easily by removing the twist nut and having it be a pure selfie stick. It’s a solid tripod as well.
This tripod looks good but is there any way I can also mount a light on it to improve the look of pictures and videos that my phone takes?****
I wanted to so the same. It’s pretty lightweight. You can get a small clip-on light. The attached works great. It’s good for the money. The Bluetooth works great.
How much weight can this hold?****
I am sure it can handle the weight of a standard digital/slr camera. I wouldn’t recommend it for a heavy speaker etc. The legs would need to be wider. Don’t know exactly what recommended lbs.
Would this work with a person that is 5 ft tall?****
My wife is 4’11” and it would be a little short but would be fine if the stand and phone were in a wide shot. I find putting the stand on a counter or table or such and adjusting the height would probably make it work for you. I’m 6′ 4″ and I place the feet of the stand on a small portable table or countertop.
Will this hold my S21+5G android phone?****
I’m not an Android owner, we are Apple phone owners, however, if your phone is similar in size to the I Phone 11,, SE or 12 it should work. We have the I Phone SE and the unit works great for us.
