SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.
In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  2. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  3. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  4. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  5. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  7. CAUTION: Avoid injuries from the egg pricking device.
  8. This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and another residential type environment; bed and breakfast type environments.
  9. Warning: Potential risk of injuries from misuse.
  10. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
  11. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.
  12. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.
  13. Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
  14. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!
  15. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
  16. Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.
  17. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
  18. Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.
  19. Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
  20. This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
  21. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  22. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
  23. Should you accidentally allow the appliance to operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this occurs, allow the appliance to cool before filling with water and turning it on.
  24. Regarding the instructions for cleaning, please refer to the below paragraph of the manual.
  25. Note the high temperature steam.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  1. Clean the appliance according to the section “CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS”.
  2. Fill the heating plate with a measuring cup of water, assemble the appliance and then operate without eggs. When the water is boiling, discard the water.
    Note: Never immerse the base in the water for cleaning. Wipe the appearance of the base and the heating plate with a damp cloth. Never use a poisonous cleaner.

HOW TO USE YOUR EGG BOILER

  • Fill the heating plate with the required amount of cold water, using the measuring cup.

  • Note: This measuring cup is marked with two scales: “ ” and “ ”. Please only take “HARD” (hard) / “MEDIUM” (medium) / “SOFT” (soft) under “ ” for reference; others are not suitable for this model. Important: The scale on the measuring cup is for totally 7 eggs. Remember to add extra 5ml of water for each reduced egg. For example: if you want to cook 6 eggs, add extra 5ml of water; if you want to cook 5 eggs, add extra 10ml of water.

  • Place the egg tray over the heating plate.

  • Pierce the blunt end of the eggs with the egg piercer.
    Caution: The eggs must be pierced before boiling otherwise the eggs may explode during cooking.

  • Put the eggs into the egg tray by the small end facing downwards and then close the lid.

  • Plug in the appliance. Press the on/off switch to position “ON”. The indicator light illuminates.

  • When the eggs are finished, a buzzer sound will be heard.

  • Press the on/off switch to position “OFF”. Disconnect the egg boiler from the wall socket.

  • Take off the lid. Remove the egg tray from the heating plate and run the eggs under cold tap water. Warning: Be extremely careful when removing the lid. Steam may still come out of the openings in the lid and the lid is hot. Only hold the lid by the grip on top of the lid.

  • After eggs are finished cooking, please switch off and plug off the appliance. Otherwise, the thermostat inside the appliance will be reset automatically when the appliance is cooled down. The appliance will continue to heat with energy waste and safety risk.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Always unplug the appliance and allow cooling before cleaning. The egg tray and the cover can be washed normally. However, the heating plate which is fixed to the bottom of the appliance can only be cleaned with a moistened towel.
Do not clean any part with abrasive cleaners, scouring powder or metal scouring pads.
Do not immerse the appliance in water!
When excessive scales are deposited on the heating plate, normal household vinegar can be used to remove the scales. Dilute the vinegar with water (add 1 part vinegar to 10 parts of water). Pour the solution onto the heating plate. Allow soaking for about 30 minutes. Then pour away the liquid. Wipe the heating plate clean with a moistened towel.

SAFETY MEASURES

The appliance should not be used when:

  1. The cable is damaged.
  2. The appliance can be visually seen damaged.
  3. The appliance has been dropped onto the floor, even if visible damage is not seen. Do not use the appliance except as stated in this manual.

Damage caused by not following the instruction manual, will lead to a void of warranty, if this results in consequential damages then we will not be liable. Neither can we hold responsible for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use or if the instruction manual are not properly executed. Damage to accessories does not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such case please contact our service department. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
