NOTE : Although communication will work one, we still encourage while in a press box, the optimum place to put the belt pack is nearest the window and position it or elevate it where the belt pack can see the entire field.

NEVER keep the belt pack on your hip or below ANY OBSTRUCTION while in the press box.

Caution

  • Do not put sharp or hard materials into the speaker hole when using this product.
  • Do not attempt to repair the transceiver or other components of the system yourself.
  • Do not leave components in vehicle during extreme hot/cold weather for long periods of time.
  • Leaving in a extreme hot area (+110 degrees Fahrenheit) for a long period of time may result in deformation or malfunction of this product.
  • Use only the provided charger and cable for charging. Using a third party charger may cause fire.
  • Stop using immediately if you see fire or smell smoke from this.
  • Stop using immediately when exposed to risk of fire.
  • Do not use third party’s components, such as batteries, chargers, cables or headsets.
  • Keep components clean by using a damp cloth when exposed to extreme dirt or water.

Functions

  3. Connection/Stand-By : Twelve bars on the upper display shows connection or stand-by .

  4. User Number : displays the User Number that your device is set to.

  5. Channel : means the current channel number that your belt  pack is set to. If your belt pack is the  Master Belt Pack set the User Number to 01 on the display.

  6. Battery : Indicates current battery level.

When the battery is running low, the battery ICON will begin blinking.

  * More than 80%  

  * Below 50%

Note
If device is left in standby status for half hour, it will automatically turn off for power-saving. Standby status means a device is ready for pairing two belt packs.

  1. Volume Setting and Group Call (Long Press for Group Call for X12 or X12E). Volume level ranges from 0 to 8. (Factory Default is 5).

    User Number ranges from User 1 to User 12. User 1 is factory set as the Master Belt Pack. Each device occupies one user number. Having two devices with the same User Number will cause interruption in communication

  3. Channel Setting
    Belt packs should be set to the same channel number for communication. Depending on your system’s configuration, you may have multiple channels. Belt packs on the same channel can communicate to each other.
    STEP 1
    The X12 belt pack can have a maximum of six talk paths (channels). Your X12 belt pack is pre-programmed depending on the number of channels that has been purchased with your order. Channels 5 and 6 are usually reserved for the X12M Mini Helmet Receiver. The XLE has a maximum of 2 channels.

    When Rotation is turned “OFF” the channel selection will stop at the first or last channel programmed into your belt pack. If you press the channel selection will stop at channel 1. If you press Button the channel selection will stop at the last channel programmed into your belt pack.
    OPTION 2
    When Rotation is turned “ON” the channel selection will rotate. If your belt pack is set to the last channel and you press Button the belt pack will rotate to channel 1. If you press and your belt pack is on channel 1, the belt pack will go to the last channel programmed in your belt pack.

  4. Pairing (Grouping multiple belt packs to the same system) Below pairing procedure should be done to establish communication group.
    PLEASE NOTE: YOUR SYSTEM HAS ALREADY BEEN CONFIGURED. PAIRING IS NOT NECESSARY AND NOT RECOMMENDED.

    Pairing is made between the Master Belt Pack and the remaining belt packs. Each belt pack must be set to a different user number. B elt packs can not have the same User ID number.

    Press and hold ‘M’ button to go to Menu and then select “6. Pairing”

    Once pairing has completed, paired devices go to stand-by display. If you press ‘M’ button while pairing is being processed, the pairing is canceled and the belt packs go to stand-by mode.

    Pairing is automatically canceled if pairing is not completed within 60 seconds.

  5. . Noise Cancel (No longer available on Version 004 or greater. Noise cancel on all firmware versions is now automatic and changes is not recommended.

    You can turn the warning and/or button sound on or off depending on user’s preference

    Choose between “0” and “8”. Factory default is set to 8 and is recommended for daytime games.

    You can adjust the Microphone Volume level. With this function your voice transmission is clearer if you set it depending on your voice level. Factory default is 4.

    Choose between “0” and “8”. The higher number you choose, the higher microphone volume it transmits. “Mic Level” 0 means microphone is muted.

  9. X12 Version only – Mode (PTT Button) can be programmed for one of two modes. Mode 1 – Used as PTT belt packs. You can have and unlimited number of PTT belt packs. Please note: Only one PTT user can transmit at a time. The second attempt by a PTT user will hear three beep tones indicating that  another user is using the PTT feature
    Mode 2 Preset before leaving the factors. In this is an optional feature and is used to communicate from the belt pack to the wireless mini helmet receiver. There are two modes that can be programmed.
    (1) An X12 belt pack can be assigned to a specific group of helmet receivers regardless of the channel being used.
    (2) A X2 belt pack can be programmed to communicate to different groups of helmet receivers by switching channels on the X12.

  10. Mic Mute
    User 1~12 can mute or un-mute the microphone by (1) quickly pressing the “M” or (2), Raising the microphone boom upwards to mute the belt pack or down to un-mute the belt pack. The user will hear the word “Mute” when the belt pack isfirst muted. Users can only listen if they mute the belt pack.

On the X12 or XLE, push ‘M’ button to toggle between mute and un-mute. On the X12E is to switch between Group 1 and Group 2.

  1. Side Tone
    You can turn on or off the Side Tone function. If you turn on the Side Tone, you will hear what you are saying in real time. Factory default is Off.

  2. How to Charge
    While on charge, a orange LED on the lower display illuminates and becomes dimmer once the device is fully charged.

Following is the list of frequent questions and answers.

  1. I cannot communicate with other devices.
    • Check if your device is paired with User 1 (Master Device).
    • In your group, check if User 1 (Master Device) exists.
  2. I cannot join a group communication.
    •  Check if other users are connected on the display.
    • Check if there is a User 1 (Master Device) in the group.
    • You might be too far from User 1 to get the signal from it.
  3. I cannot turn on the device.
    • Make sure the belt pack is fully charged. Once charged, press the PWE button in for two seconds.
  4. I lose connections sometimes.
    • Check if other users are connected on the display.
    • Check if someone is using the same user number as yours. – If you are using a belt pack in a press box, make sure that the belt pack has a entire view ofthe field. NEVER keep the belt pack on your hip or below ANY OBSTRUCTION while in the press box.
  5. Other users’ voice sounds broken.
    • Check if the distance between the users is too far.
    • Other users can barely hear my voice.
    • Check if you set MIC level low.
    • Check if the headset microphone is a little far from your mouth.

Caution

Please make sure to read through the below safety requirements before using this product. If these are not followed well, incidents like fire or explosion may happen.

  • DO NOT separate / modify the antenna and DO NOT use a modified antenna. It will degrade the performance of the belt pack, which results in serious breakdown as the belt pack generates a strong radio wave through the antenna.
  • ONLY the provided charging adapter is acceptable to use with the belt pack. DO NOT use a third-party power adapter or the battery or belt pack may be damaged and could cause a fire or explosion of the belt pack.
  • USE this device only for permissible communication.
  • DO NOT take apart or modify this device yourself. Otherwise, this  could result in a malfunction which our warranty doesn’t cover. Also, you might be subject to a penalty according to a relevant FCC communication law.
  • DO NOT change the frequency or use other frequencies. Otherwise, you might be subject to a penalty according to a relevant communication law.
  • AVOID direct sunlight and high humidity for a long period of time.
  • DO NOT leave the device in a car with temperatures exceeding 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
