Although the keyboard keys are printed to correlate to Windows functions, it is compatible. It will still function, but because they are not printed for the Mac layout, it won’t correlate to Mac OS correctly. The same is true when using a PC keyboard on a Mac.
Without an integrated or built-in hub and without any child or female USB ports on the sides, front, or back, I need a USB keyboard. Does this one satisfy that condition?****

Given that it uses the Windows keys, all of my legacy Windows keyboards should function with Windows 8 as it is a typical Windows keyboard layout.
Just now did I get my order. After installing both, I was unable to make the mouse function. What should be done?****
For my work, I’ve used a mouse and keyboard. I visit customers’ establishments and connect the keyboard and mouse to various types of Point of Sales terminals. Other than plugging the mouse and keyboard into an available USB port, I’ve never had to do anything to install them. All that is required to detect the mouse and keyboard are Windows’ default drivers. The “New Hardware Found” procedure is finished, and the mouse and the keyboard start working.
