Introduction

Thank you for purchasing Glidecam Light-Force Battery Grip. This product is a high-capacity power grip that can extend your video camera run time up to 4 hours. Please read this User Manual
carefully and follow the safety guidelines strictly before using it

Read all safety information below and operating instructions before using battery grip to avoid injury and damage
to your device

WARNING:

  • Do not dismantle, crush, puncture, and short circuit Battery Grip or expose it to liquids, fire, or environments where the temperature is above 60°C (140°F).
  • Do not open the casing to avoid cell damage or other hazards.

Charging

Battery Grip supports charging with USB-C power adapter with Power Delivery protocol. When charging with USB-A port adapter, please use an additional USB-A to USB-C cable. The USB adapter iseasy to find, such as those used by cell phones or smart devices.
Note: Ensure the USB adapter supports one or more of the following output specifications.

When the output of the USB adapter is lower than 5V 3A, the charging time may be extended.

The LED indicator shows charging conditions as follows:

Note: Battery Grip can be charged while discharging, but a 9V3A or 15V/1.2A USB adapter is required to ensure sufficient power supply.

Mount to Camera Bottom

**** Glidecam Light-Force Battery Grip can be installed on a wide range of cameras by simply replacing the mounting plate and dummy battery. Visit glidecam.com/batterygrip for more information.

Panasonic GH6

The mounting plate for the GH6 has additional anti-deflection locating pins in front of the 1/4 screw. Before installing Battery Grip, install the BLK22 Dummy Battery in the camera , and pass the cable through the cord hole on the battery door. Then lock the battery door. Once the Dummy Battery is installed, mount the Battery Grip on the bottom of the GH6. Next, plug the USB-C connector of the Dummy Battery into either of the two USB-C ports of the Battery Grip.
Once Battery Grip’s USB-C port is plugged into the cable, you can turn on GH6. Battery Grip’s LED indicators will flash to show the remaining battery capacity.

Mount to Camera Bottom CONT.

Canon R5/R5c/R6 Versions for the Canon R5/R5c/R6 include a pre- installed locating pin on the left front of the Battery Grip that matches the locating hole on the bottom of the camera. The locating pin works with the 1/4 screw to prevent the rotation. Before installing the Battery Grip, install the LP-E6 Dummy Battery into the camera, and pass the cable through the cord hole near the battery compartment cover. Then lock the compartment cover. Once the Dummy Battery is installed, mount the Battery Grip on the bottom of the camera. Next, plug the USB-C connector of the Dummy Battery into either of the two USB-C ports of the Battery Grip.
Once Battery Grip’s USB-C port is plugged into the cable, you can turn on camera. Battery Grip’s LED indicators will flash to show the remaining battery capacity.

Powered by USB-C cable directly

Battery Grip also supports powering directly to the camera’s USB-C port using a USB-C cable. In addition, Battery Grip can also power other devices such as Atomos Zato Connect or microphones, or wireless transmitters.
The LED indicator shows charging conditions as follows:

Note

  1. When using the camera’s USB-C port for power supply, the camera’s battery compartment must have a battery installed. In addition, the camera battery will be charged when the camera’s USB-C port supplies power. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited to use the Dummy Battery and the USB-C port to deliver power at the same
  2. Dummy Battery’s built-in system stabilizes the voltage at 8.4V, so the camera cannot detect Battery Grip’s battery capacity by measuring the battery Instead, please check the LED indicator of the Battery Grip to know the remaining battery capacity.

  • Always make sure that your Battery Grip is mounted securely and is unable to fall onto anyone This is especially important when there are children present who might be tempted to pull on cables.
  • Always ensure that cables that run to Battery Grip are clearly visible and do not present a trip
  • Do not expose to strong electrical or magnetic
