Setting up your DEFED Smart Station
User Guide V 1.0

INTRODUCTION

LifeSmart DEFED Smart Station is the gateway and a central device of DEFED security system, coordinating the connected devices. It’s a controlling equipment with colorful indicator to visualize the current state of the system. It can be fixed on the wall.
LifeSmart DEFED Smart Station is a smart bridge. With DEFED Smart Station, Motion Sensor, Indoor Siren, Door/Window Sensor, DEFED Key Fob and Other smart devices can be connected to a smart system. SET UP

DEFED Smart Station requires the LifeSmart App and LifeSmart Account to operate. Please download the App to your smart devices. The App is available by scanning the following QR Code, or go to the Google Play Store or iOS App Store directly.

Open LifeSmart App, choose to register account to enter homepage.
Plug in the DEFED Smart Station and connect the Ethernet cable to your router. Press and hold the power button to turn on the DEFED Smart
Station. The indicator light will flicker briefly as the system initializes and establishes a network connection. When the light breathing green, the connection is successful.
In LifeSmart App, initiate ‘Add Device’, choose ‘DEFED Smart Station’.
Follow the instructions in the App to complete setting up your DEFED Smart Station.
You can now add sensors and other smart products that can communicate through your DEFED Smart Station.
With LifeSmart App, you can manage the smart home devices and scenes, get messages from the alarm system or upgrade the firmware of DEFED Smart Station.

INSTRUCTION

The LED indicator can display the current status of system via different colors and effects.

Event	LED Indicator
Power on	White breathing
Ethernet connecting	Yellow breathing
Unregistered	Green breathing
Disarmed	Blue
Armed	Red breathing
Alarm	Red flashing
Partial armed	Orange breathing

DEFED Smart Station can be powered on by multiple methods including 48V PoE, DC 12V or backup batteries.
More than 500 smart devices can be managed by DEFED Smart Station.
DEFED Smart Station can be installed on wall by wall-mount bracket or plug and play on the desk.
The power line of the adapter can be fixed by wiring fixator to prevent accident loosening.
If you need to completely shut down DEFED Smart Station, please press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.

For DEFED Smart Station containing GSM, 4G or other mobile communication modules, please shut down completely before unpluging the power supply and removing the battery , otherwise the equipment may be damaged.
