INTRODUCTION
Litter-Robot 4 can be equipped with a backup battery (sold separately) that
provides approximately 24-48 hours of operation in the event of a power
outage.
When power is interrupted, the unit automatically switches to Backup Battery
Mode, indicated by the control panel light bar changing from full blue to
solely the Power button LED flashing blue.
Note: WiFi and night light functionality will be disabled during Backup Battery Mode to conserve energy. Light bar display intensity will be reduced by 50%.
You will need:
Phillips-head screwdriver
How to install

Press the Power button to turn the unit off, then unplug the unit.

Open the bonnet: Press and hold the latches on both sides of the bonnet, then lift and rotate the bonnet to its open position.

Remove the globe: Using the handle, lift the globe off the base.

In t he base. locate and remove the four ( 4) screws holding the motor cover in place with the use of a Phillips-head screwdriver.

Connect the battery, making sure to connect the leads and terminals correctly: RED lead to the RED terminal and BLACK lead to the BLACK terminal.

Insert the battery into the pocket.

Reinstall the motor cover using the four (4) screws provided.

Replace the globe: Hold t he globe by the handle and slide it back into the base. Ensure the back of the globe is sitting f lush in the rear bearing pocket.

Close the bonnet: Rotate the bonnet downward over t he globe and push down on the bonnet from the top to make sure it is latched and secure.

Plug the unit back in and power it on.
