How to use the freezer compartment

  • The freezer is designed for storing frozen food. For ice making, we suggest use of the ice trays and the door ice box. Making ice in open containers may increase the chances of condensation inside the freezer. Foods that need to be frozen for a long period of time should store in this compartment.
  • It is recomended to follow my the freezing capacity; mentioned m the specification section. Loading food/containers more than the recommended level may result in condensation.
  • Cook food must be cool down to room temperature before putting into the freezer.
  • Raw food must be stored separately with the cook food.Whirlpool-5WS21NIJGS-Side-by-Side-Refrigerator-fig- \(32\)
  • Eggs, vegetables, potatoes, milk, bean products should not be stored in the freezer.
  • After buying the fast frozen food, it should be stored in the freezer before it is unfreezed.
  • Food stores in small package by category for easy access and avoid unnecessary prolonged door opening so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving. It can also help avoiding food.
  • Leave enough room for food storage, or it will affect the circulation of cold air.
  • Don’t let the foods touch the sensor closely, which will affect the temperature signal collection, resulting in refrigerator work abnonnally.
  • When using the Ice Maker on the door, first, slide the Locking Bar rightward to open the Ice Maker, and then slowly pour pure water into the Measuring Cup from the top of the Water Inlet into the Ice Maker. After you are sure that all the water has been poured into the Ice Maker, slide the Locking Bar leftward back to its original position. Finally, slowly close the freezer door to avoid the water overflowing into the Ice Cube Tray.
  • When you want to take some ice out of the Ice Maker on the door, pull the Ice Cube Tray out to the stop position and gently lift it up. Then take some ice out of the Ice Cube Tray.Whirlpool-5WS21NIJGS-Side-by-Side-Refrigerator-fig- \(37\)

NOTICE

  • The amount of water in the Measuring Cup cannot exceed the MAX line to prevent water in the Ice Maker from overflowing and making it difficult to take out the ice.
  • The ice storage capacity of the Ice Cube Tray is most appropriate for making ice three times. It is recommended to take out all the ice in the Ice Cube Tray if you want to continue to make ice after having making ice three times.
  • Take food out of the freezer according to the actual need. Thawed food cannot be re-frozen unless it has been cooked. Otherwise, it will affect the quality of the food.
  • When using the Fridge-freezer, in order to reduce cold air loss, if possible, do not open more than one door at the same time.
  • In order to achieve the optimal storage effect, frozen foods should not be in direct contact with foods stored indoors, and the amount of the frozen foods should be reduced if it is necessary to freeze foods every day.
  • During a power blackout, door opening and closing times should be reduced as much as possible. It is inappropriate to put more fresh foods in the Fridge-freezer.
  • The fridge compartment is used for storing non-frozen foods and beverage. Put the food and vegetables that you need to eat anytime or for short-time storage in tlris comparhncent.
  • Cook food must be cool down to room temperature before putting into the fridge compartment.
  • Raw food must be stored separately with the cook food.Whirlpool-5WS21NIJGS-Side-by-Side-Refrigerator-fig- \(39\)
  • Tropical fruits, like banana, melon and pineapple are not suitable for long term cooling.Whirlpool-5WS21NIJGS-Side-by-Side-Refrigerator-fig- \(40\)
  • Drain the vegetables thoroughly before storage, high humidity is not good for preservation.
  • Food stores in small package by category for easy access and avoid unnecessary prolonged door opening so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving. It can also help avoiding food dehydration and odor diffusion.Whirlpool-5WS21NIJGS-Side-by-Side-Refrigerator-fig- \(42\)
  • Leave enough room for food storage, or it will affect the circulation of cold air.
  • Don’t let the foods touch the sensor closely, which will affect the temperature signal collection, resulting in refrigerator work abnormally, fresh food compartment freezing and more energy cosumption etc.Whirlpool-5WS21NIJGS-Side-by-Side-Refrigerator-fig- \(43\)
  • The leaves of radishes should be cut off to prevent nutrition from being absorbed by the leaves.
  • You can move the egg rack to an appropriate position as needed.
  • Thaw frozen food in the fridge. In this way, other food can be refrigerated by virtue of the low temperature of the frozen food and energy can be saved.
  • When being refrigerated, melons, bananas, pineapples, etc., will have their metabolism accelerated, and thereby are not suitable for being stored in the fridge. However, unripe fruits can be stored in the fridge for a certain period of time to have their maturity accelerated.
  • Some foods such as onions, garlic, ginger, water chestnuts, rhizomes, etc. can be stored at room temperature for a long time and do not need to be refrigerated in the fridge.

NOTICE
The interior wall of refrigerator will corrode after long time contact with food, especially oily food. It is suggested to keep the food away from the interior walls and clean if greasy dirt is found. Do not use egg tray as ice maker tray and do not put in freezer to avoid rupture.

Non-failure analysis

  • Condenser Pipes are attached between both sides of the main body of the Fridge-freezer and the middle beam and may radiate heat while they are working. Therefore, it is normal that they will have a high temperature.
  • The temperature is high inside the refrigerator during the first time operation, cooling time will be longer.
  • Due to the high flow rate of refrigerant in the capillary within the refrigeration system, water running sounds may occur sometimes.
  • When the humidity is high, it is a normal phenomenon for dew appearing on the refrigerator surface and particularly near the door sealing, you can dry it with a soft cloth.
