SP1106B-6 Sprinter Nudge Bar
All Flatline Van Co products must be properly assembled and secured before attaching to your vehicle. Improper attachment could result in an automobile accident, and could cause serious bodily injury or death to you or to others involved. You are responsible for assembling and securing Flatline Van Co products to your vehicle, checking the mounting points and attachments prior to use, and regularly inspecting the products for wear and or damage. We always recommend you use a professional to install any aftermarket accessories to your vehicle. If you have no mechanical experience and are not thoroughly familiar with the installation procedures, you must have the product installed by a professional installer or other qualified persons. The responsibility is yours and must be taken seriously for everyone’s safety.

LET’S GET STARTED!
-
FIRST STEP IS TO REMOVE THE FACTORY BOLTS ON THE STEP PORTION OF YOUR BUMPER. SOMETIMES THERE ARE PLASTIC CAPS INSTALLED, AND THESE ARE EASILY REMOVED WITH A FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER. THE BOLTS THEMSELVES REQUIRE A T45 BIT TO REMOVE.
-
NEXT, SOME VANS COME EQUIPPED WITH THE EUROPEAN STYLE LICENSE PLATE COVER, IF THIS IS THE CASE FOR YOU, IT WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED.
NOTE- WE HAVE SEEN SOME MOUNT THE NUDGE BAR WITHOUT REMOVING THE EURO STYLE PLATE MOUNT, BUT IT CAN INTERFERE WITH PARK SENSORS IF YOUR VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH THEM. -
NOW TAKE THE NUDGE BAR AND REST IT ON THE FRONT STEP AREA. LINE UP THE MOUNTING SLOTS AND THREAD IN THE HARDWARE SHOWN BELOW. THE LARGE WASHER GOES UNDERNEATH THE HEAD OF THE M8 BOLT. THREAD THIS FINGER TIGHT.
NOTE- THIS IS A TWO HANDED OPERATION THAT IS NOT TOO TRICKY.
WE FIND IT BEST TO HOLD THE NUDGE BAR DOWN WITH ONE HAND ON THE FRONT TUBE BY THE MOUNTING BRACKET AND USE YOUR OTHER HAND TO THREAD THE BOLTS IN.
WE RECOMMEND APPLYING BLUE LOCTITE TO THE BOLTS BEFORE INSERTING THEM. -
NEXT, HOLD THE NUDGE BAR TIGHT AGAINST THE BUMPER AND ENSURE IT IS CENTERED, THEN TIGHTEN THE HARDWARE.
NOTE- THERE ARE TWO HOLES BEHIND THE LICENSE PLATE BRACKET FOR THE USE OF TWO SELF TAPPING SCREWS (NOT INCLUDED) INTO THE BUMPER PLASTIC IF YOU SEE FIT. THIS WILL KEEP THE BUMPER SNUG TO THE NUDGE BAR FOR AN EVEN STURDIER
INSTALLATION.
3. IF YOUR VAN IS EQUIPPED WITH THE FRONT VIEW OR 360 CAMERA PACKAGES; BELOW IS AN IMAGE OF WHAT YOUR FRONT VIEW CAMERA WILL SHOW AFTER INSTALLING THE NUDGE BAR.
