Strings & Hardware Kit
- 1 Set, 26 Nylon monofilament Strings, starting at 1 octave below Middle C (See 2nd page below & see Kit for details) 26 Small Plastic or Wood Beads typically used for Crafts & Necklaces (Sized to fit strings & knots)
- 26 Eyelets (Brass Grommets) (21 Small Grommets – use #44 Gauge Drill Bit; 7- Medium Grommets – use #32 Gauge bit) 26 (13L/13R) Guitar tuning machines with ¼” shafts & grommets
- 26 Screw sets for the guitar tuning machines
- 6 Screws for the harp sides (#8 x 1” Washer Heads, Decorative)
- 1 Nut & Bolt (¼”-20 x 2.5” Hex Head)
- 2 Long Screws (#8 x 1.5” Washer Heads, Decorative)
- 16-20 1” Brads (or, Paneling Nails)
- 2 Rubber feet with screws (3/4” x 1” approx.)
- 1 Guitar String Winder
- 1 Electronic Note Tuner, optional (Highly Recommended) (For best results, use our Middle C Finder instead of a piano)
Select Wood (You supply)
- Sides: 2 Pine, single planks, straight, no knots (1” x 10” x 6’)
- Soundboard: 1 Luan Plywood (2’ x 4’ x 1/8” or ¼”)
- String Bridge (Guide) Pins: 2 Dowels (3/16” x 4’) (Oak or Poplar)
Tools & Supplies (Not limited to the following) (You supply)
Jig Saw (&/or Band Saw), Circular Saw with guide, Drill or Drill Press
(recommended), Various Drill bits, Hammer, File Assorted Clamps, assorted Sand
Paper (60/80 to 220 grit), Screw Driver, Scissors Select wood surface finishes
(lacquer, varnish, shellac, etc.), 0000 Steel Wool & Lint Free Cloth
(Various Polyurethanes aren’t normally recommended for musical instruments.)
