Warning
- This product must be installed or replaced at a service facility that maintains proper certification or a place equipped with designated equipments. This product should not be modified by any third party personnel. If the work is done by non- authorized or non-qualified personnel, it may cause a serious malfunction on the vehicle or shorten the lifecycle of it.
- Since the installation work requires the mechanics to work under the vehicle, one must use qualified car-lift for this job. Should the vehicle fall from the lift or installed incorrectly, it may cause death or significant malfunction on the vehicle.
- The most part of exhaust system generates significant amount of heat, the installation work must be performed after the vehicle is sufficiently cooled down.
- Certain parts of the product, including exhaust manifold catalyst, are flammable. It is advised that the product is installed in a fire-ready location. Fire may cause burn on your skin.
Product Installation
- Before installation, please check if you have the right product for the subject vehicle.
- When you separate a genuine part from the vehicle, please follow instruction of the vehicle manufacturer.
- Before installing the product, make sure you don’t drop it or expose to an impact.
- When exhaust manifold, catalyst converter, front pipe, sub pipe and other parts are assembled with other company’s product, please check if there is loss of efficiency or interference/friction due to changes in numbers before you assemble them.
- The sequence of assemble is the reverse of disassemble.
- See if there is deformation on flanges or gas leakage after installation.
- Locate the rubber hanger that supports mufflers to the right position.
- Make sure that body of muffler or exhaust pipes do not touch the chassis, fuel tank and bumper. Check electrical wirings, fuel pipe, air-conditioner pipe, oil-pressure hose, break pipe or any hoses are overheated before you operate the vehicle.
After the Installation
- Be careful for speed bumps or bumpy roads if the vehicle has been lowered.
- The Exhaust sound may differ from each vehicle even if they are the same car.
- There may be louder sound generated from the vehicle until the sound absorption material is spread by exhaust heat.
- There may be burning odor generated from the vehicle until the sound absorption material is spread by exhaust heat.
- Do not separate catalytic converter from the vehicle.
- Make sure the sound of exhaust is within the regulations.
Installation instructions
Remove the original exhaust system :
Put the vehicle on a lift.
WARNING: To avoid risk of vehicle damage, personal injury or death, make
sure the vehicle is safe and properly installed!
- Loosen and remove bolt (12mm) that secures the middle body bracket.
- Remove the main muffler by loosening bolt (19mm) that secures the main silencer.
- Remove the middle muffler by loosening bolt (19mm) that secures the middle silencer. (See Photo 1)
Installation tip: Lubricate the rubber brackets and bolts for easy removal.
Electronic module wiring connections:
- Electronic module is installed in the battery space under the trunk.
- Main power line may be connected to the battery (+) and (-) terminals.
- If you want to cut off the power when the ignition is off, connect (+) terminal to fuse linked to ACC, and connect (-) terminal to self-ground. (See Photo 2)
However, 2.0T vehicles may not have a fuse connected to ACC. If not, connect it to the battery.
Electronic module wiring connections:
- For the wiring connected to rear muffler electric motor, use the wiring path shown in the photo.
- To protect the cable, cut the middle of the rubber bushing and pass the wiring through the rubber to connect the wiring outside the vehicle body.

- The wire that has passed through rubber bushing is moved left and right and passed over the aluminum heat sink.
- Drill a small hole in the aluminum heat sink and secure the wiring with cable ties.
Caution : When fixing with a cable tie, do not press the wires.

Electronic module wiring connections :
- As explained before, main power line can be connected to battery (+) and (-) terminals.
- If you want to cut off power when the ignition is OFF, connect (+) terminal to fusemthat is linked to ACC and connect (-) terminal to self-ground. (See photo 6)
Note: However, 2.0T vehicles may not have a fuse connected to ACC. If not, connect it to the battery.
Electronic module wiring connections :
- Fuse is connected to the fuse that cuts off power when the engine is turned off.
- Stinger 3.3T vehicle can be connected to the top 2nd fuse.
- You can use fuse connection wire as below photo 7, or cut the terminal to strip the wire and connect it directly to fuse.
Install the mid-muffler and end-muffler :
- Install the mid-muffler using genuine nuts (19mm).
- Fix the center crossbar in the reverse order of disassembly.
- Install the end muffler using included gasket, bolts and nuts (14mm).
- Connect the wiring to variable motor to complete installation.
Install the mid-muffler and end-muffler :
- After installation is complete, start the engine and operate remote control to check whether the variable valve works well.
- When power is connected, LED on the variable control module is turned on.
Caution : If there is a problem in operation, check if LED on the variable control module is on. If not, check power connection again from the beginning
