Instructions
Sterkur Kinesiology tape is applied directly to the skin. In this manual you will find instructions for safe use of Sterkur Kinesiology tape. Improper application of this tape can cause injury. Consult a qualified person for the correct application of this tape. Storage temperature and humidity can affect the adhesive strength of the tape. Can be applied to different body parts. Can stay in place for up to 3 days.
-
Try a small piece of Sterkur Kinesiology tape near where you want to apply it first. Cut a round shape with a diameter of 2 centimeters and stick it on the skin without stretch. If this does not give a reaction within 24 hours, it is unlikely that an allergic reaction will occur.
-
Stick to skin with as little hair as possible. On hairy skin, the tape adheres less well and can come off more quickly. Since the tape also has to be removed again, it is recommended to remove the hairs. Shaving is not recommended, the skin must first recover from this.
-
Do not leave the tape in place for more than three consecutive days
-
Always ensure that the skin to be treated is clean, dry and free of grease.
-
Avoid folds in the tape or in the skin under the tape, as this can easily cause blisters.
-
Do not put a stretch on the first 2.5 centimeters and the last 2.5 centimeters of the tape
-
Do not put too much stretch on the tape when applying. Careless application can cause skin irritation and blisters.
-
Cut the corners of the tape in a round shape.
-
The tape will bond better once the material gets warmer, so be careful when applying heat to areas of skin where tape has been applied (don’t blow dry, for example).
Sometimes there can be itching under the tape (10 to 20 minutes), this should not be a problem. In case of itching or irritation that lasts longer than half an hour, the tape should be carefully removed. In case of severe itching, carefully remove the tape immediately. -
Always remove the tape carefully. To remove the tape painlessly, it is best to use an oil (massage or baby oil or something similar). Oil dissolves the acrylic adhesive layer. If the tape is removed carelessly, skin irritation and blisters can occur.
-
Wait at least 1 hour after application before doing any activity that causes sweating
-
Do not swim or shower for at least 1 hour after application
-
Dry the tape carefully with a towel
-
Avoid applying too tightly to avoid blocking blood circulation.
-
Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients or if skin irritation occurs.
