Note

  1. This lock is equipped with mechanical keys for manual unlocking. Remove mechanical keys from the package and keep them in a safe place and always have access to them.
  2. To power on the lock, four alkaline AA batteries(not included) are required. Non-alka- line and rechargeable batteries ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
  3. The operation of setting lock has a stand-by time limit of 10 seconds, Without any activity, lock will shut after 10 seconds.
  4. Keep your fingers clean when using this lock.

NOTE
Check tho doors opening dioctiom: if the door is LtHand Door, togglo the button to the Loft, and if tho door is Right-Hand Door, toggle it to tho ums towards according to your opening direction.

  1. Screw the four cross bolts into the corresponding holes ( the longest one is used for the top mounting hole).
  2. Hold the front body to the door and make sure the key nail piece and cable through the door hole. Left- hand door: rotate left to the end and insert in Right-hand door: rotate right to the end and insert in 3
  3. Make sure the cable through the mounting plate, secure the mounting plate, then fix the front body with three screws. In order to make the back body fit better with the door, “Fully insert the protruding ring on the back of the panel into the door hole. Install the three screws at the bottom first, and then install the top one screw.”
  4. Pass the cable of the front body through the rectangular hole of the rubber pad and the door panel. Connect it to the wire cable connector of the back body. NOTE: The cable must be passed below the deadbolt to ensure the deadbolt cannot be hindered.
  5. After connecting the cables make sure the thumb knob is horizontal (Left- Hand Door) or turnisvertical (Right-Hand Door) according to the door opening direction, then hold the back body onto the mounting plate.
  6. Fix the back body to the mounting plate with 3 screws. You can put the rubber stopper on the bottom screw hole to make it look better.EAGLETOP-X5-Digital-Door-Lock-FIG-13
  7. Place the batteries, and make sure the direction of the batteries is correct, and put in the battery cover.EAGLETOP-X5-Digital-Door-Lock-FIG-14
  8. Drill the strike box and strike
  9. If you want the lock automatically locked after close the door, please install the door switch sensor. plate according to the size, then fix them by two screws.

X5 Operating Instructions

NOTICE FOR USE

  1. In the initialization state, you can use any fingerprint or IC card to unlock, the initial password is “123456”.
  2. Outside the door: Use fingerprint, password, APP, or IC card to unlock. Press key to lock.
  3. Inside the door: Use the thumb turn or control button to lock/unlock.
  4. If you need to lock the door immediately after closing, please install the door sensor accessories.
  5. As a separate information storage unit, it takes a little time for the lock body to fully synchronize the instructions of the app, and there will be a little delay in the information exchange process, which is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the use.

APP DOWNLOAD

Scan the following QR code to download TUYA Smart App or Smart Life App.
You can choose either of the two, Tuya or smart life, but it needs to be consistent with your family.

APP REGISTRATION

If you don’t have an APP account, you can choose to register or log in via SMS verification code. Click ” REGISTER / SIGN UP ” to enter the account registration page. Follow the prompts to obtain the SMS verification code and set the password.
If you already have an account, you can click “LOG IN ” with an existing account. The login method supports passwords and verification codes.

ADD DEVICE

Click ” ADD DEVICE ” on the app homepage or select the “+” icon in the upper right corner to add.
Manually Add:

  1. Choose the ” CAMERA&LOCK ” category on the left;
  2. Click the ” LOCK (BLE) “;
  3. Touch any key on the lock keyboard to light up the screen, wake up the Bluetooth and start the connection;
  4. In the interface shown in the third picture, wait for the device to be searched.

Automatically add:

  1. Select the Search Devices page
  2. Touch any key on the keyboard to light up the screen, and the device will be automatically searched.
  3. Click the link and wait for the device to be bonded.

One lock can be bound to multiple phones/accounts, but can only be connected to one phone at the same time. By default, the initially bound account is the main administrator. Other family members must be invited to join the family on the app first, be given the identity of administrators/ordinary users, and then they can connect to the device and update instructions

APP UNLOCK

NOTE:
In order to save power, the APP will automatically disconnect the Bluetooth if there is no operation within 120 seconds.

In this interface:

  • To unlock the lock, slide this icon to the right.
  • To lock the lock, slide this icon to the left.

FAMILY MANAGEMENT

  1. On the APP homepage, enter the “ME” option at the bottom right, select “HOME MANAGEMENT ” to create a home, or receive an invitation to join a home. Users can create up to 20 homes.EAGLETOP-X5-Digital-Door-Lock-FIG-20

  2. On the APP device interface, click ” MEMBER MANAGEMENT”, you can choose to add members or share members. The maximum number of members in a single family is 20.
    The added family members can be assigned the role of administrator or normal user and can be modified at any time. Administrators have the authority to modify app instructions and unlock the lock in safe mode, but ordinary users cannot.EAGLETOP-X5-Digital-Door-Lock-FIG-21

  3. If you need to remove a member (or modify his family role), you can select the member in the “MEMBER MANAGEMENT “, click the member’s avatar, and choose to remove or modify.EAGLETOP-X5-Digital-Door-Lock-FIG-22

ADD COMMAND

  1. In the “MEMBER MANAGEMENT ” , select a member, and follow the prompts to add fingerprints, passwords, or cards.
    The password settings will be invisible after being saved, if you forget, directly enter a new password to modify. Administrators have permanent use rights, and ordinary users’ door opening rights can be set to a fixed date and time periodEAGLETOP-X5-Digital-Door-Lock-FIG-23

  2. Unlock with fake code: User can prevent passcode exposure from strangers by entering random digits before or after your true passcode.

  3. The administrator can set a “TEMPORARY PASSWORD ” for visitors to open the door. According to the actual situation, you can set an aging password, a one-time password or a permanent password. Auto lock

We have two automatic locking methods

  1. NO DOOR SENSOR : On the APP device interface, click ” SETTINGS ” and choose to enable the auto lock function. The time for automatic locking after unlocking is 10 seconds.
  2. WITH DOOR SENSOR : If you want auto lock after closing the door, please install the door sensor. Check whether the sensor port is well connected, the sensor is pasted on the door, the induction magnet is pasted on the door frame as shown on page 4 of the manual. After the sensor is installed, please turn off the auto lock function on the app, the door lock will automatically lock after closing the door.

SAFE MODE

You can turn on Safe Mode whether you’re at home or outside

  1. At home: Under the indoor lock panel, turn the safe mode key to red.
  2. Outside: On the APP interface, in the “SETTINGS” options, turn on the “ARM AWAY “. In safe mode, only the administrator’s fingerprint、password and ic card can unlock the lock.

NOTE:
Changing the identity of a member can only change the management authority of the APP, but cannot change the door opening authority of the fingerprint、password and ic card that has been added under this member. If you want Safe Mode to stop this member, you must re-enter his password and other information.
On the contrary, ordinary users who have been modified as administrators cannot open the device in safe mode without re-entering instructions.

ALARM MODE

If the wrong door opening information is entered 5 times in a row, the system will be locked for 180 seconds and a warning tone will sound.
For continued use, please wait 180s or remove the battery to re-power.

OPERATION LOG

In the APP device interface – information center, you can view all log information of this device. You can also filter the time range, operation type and member you want to view.
It can save the opening records, closing records, alarm records, and operation actions in the last year. After the expiration of one year, the newest record automatically overwrites the old record.

RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS

  1. Long press the reset button on the back panel, and the motherboard will reset to factory settings after hearing the sound of successful operation.
  2. Select the ” ” in the upper right corner to removethe device. After the device is “CANCELED” from the APP, the motherboard will automatically reset to factory settings.

FAQ

Q: The keyboard or deadbolt does not operate correctly after installation?

  1. :Please use four new AA batteries. Make sure the batteries are installed properly.
  2. Unplug and reconnect the cable, making sure that each connector is well-connected and was not damaged during installation.

Q: After inserting the key, the deadbolt does not turn properly?

  1. Take off the panel, check whether the lock cylinder is installed with the correct side
    (UP ) facing upward, and use a screwdriver to check whether the lock cylinder can be opened and closed normally.

  2. Re-check according to the diagram on the installation of the lock body on page 3-4 of the manual. There are three parts that need to be installed differently according to the difference between the left and right doors, and make sure it is installed correctly.

  3. Check whether the cable plugged into the door hole blocks the rotation of the deadbolt, adjust the position.

  4. If the thumb knob can be rotated normally, but the key is invalid, there may be a mismatch between the key and the lock. Please contact us.

Q: What to do if I cannot match or detect the door lock in the app?

  1. Touch any key on the keypad to wake up the door lock’s bluetooth.
  2. Whether there is another phone connecting? Disconnect the connecting mobile phone to connect the new one.
  3. Whether it is within the effective distance of Bluetooth, please connect close to the door lock.
  4. Please note: After the lock is bound to the main device mobile phone, other members need to be invited to join the family on the main device account, and then other members can connect to the device.

Q: Is there a low battery indicator? How long will the battery last? If the battery runs out, how to unlock it in an emergency?

  1. View the real-time quantity of electric charge on the main interface of the app.
  2. Low Battery Alert When the battery power is low, the lock will issue a voice prompt, reminding you to change the battery. At this point, it can still be unlocked about 200 times.
  3. Under normal installation conditions, the lock can be opened at least 3000 times without changing the battery.
  4. When the battery is exhausted, you can choose to open it with mechanical key, or connect the emergency power supply with a Type-C plug. Insert it into the emergency power supply hole under the lock to unlock, and replace the battery immediately.
