INTRODUCTION
Thank-you for purchasing a Haier rangehood.
This user guide explains the features and functions, and will help you get the
most out of your rangehood.
We hope you enjoy your new rangehood.
SAFETY AND WARNINGS
WARNING!
Electric Shock Hazard
Read and follow the safety and warnings outlined in this user guide before
operating this appliance.
Never touch the power plug or electrical components, or manipulate the power
switch with wet hands.
Altering of the internal wiring is strictly prohibited, unless performed by
professional maintenance personnel.
When cleaning, never allow electrical components such as the motor, switch and
connector to get wet.
Failure to do so can result in death, electric shock, fire or injury to
persons.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance Details for cleaning refer to part of ‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! When using this appliance always exercise basic safety
precautions including the following:
- Disconnect the power supply when cleaning or inspecting the product.
- Do not damage or place heavy objects on the power cord.
- There must be adequate ventilation of the room when the range hood is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels. (A partial vacuum in the room could result in too high a concentration of gas in the air).
- Never expose the range hood to a burner or element that is turned on without a pot or pan covering it.
- The minimum distance between the support surface of the cooking vessel on the cooktop and the lowest part of the range hood should be at least 650mm. If the gas stove installation instructions specify a larger installation distance, this should be considered.
- Never use almuinium foil on the cooktop.
- If using shared ducting, the air outlet must be well secured and sealed.
- Exhaust gases must not be discharged into a hot flue being used to vent appliances burning gas or other fuels.
- Do not flam be directly under the range hood.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The range hood is only intended to be installed over a hob with no more than four hob elements. The details concerning the method and frequency of cleaning are in below part.
- There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the instructions.
- If installation is performed by a qualified person, the product should be tested to confirm proper operation, and the correct use of the product explained to the user.
- If the power supply cord is damaged, it must only be replaced by your Haier trained and supported service technician or qualified person.
- Use a dedicated power outlet; the power cord must not be connected to an extension cord or multi-socket power board. Secure grounding is required, and the power cord should be 2000mm in length.
- Regulations regarding the discharge of air must be fulfilled.
- This appliance is an external exhaust hood, air and smoke is discharged to the outside through the air duct. To properly exhaust air ensure the duct is straight.
- Do not clean the inside of the range hood. If you need to clean the inside, please contact your Haier trained and supported service technician.
- The appliance shall be able to work normally under the following environmental conditions: temperature -15°C ~ 40°C, relative humidity < 90% (at 25°C), altitude < 1000m.
- Remove all packaging, including protective wrappings, before use.
- CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.

Installation
WARNING!
This product is heavy and requires two persons for installation.

Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these
instructions may result in electrical hazards
Installation position
- The room should be well ventilated without flammable, explosive or corrosive materials or articles.
- The wall used for mounting the rangehood should have sufficient strength and a flat surface.
- When drilling holes in the wall, do so away from water, electricity or gas lines to prevent hazards such as electric shocks or gas leaks.
Tools to prepare
Install the hood should have the following tools: electric drill (with ©8
drill) screwdriver meter scale.

Installation steps

Mounting fixture
1. As shown in figure 1, find out the installation position of the fastening parts (host hook board) on the wall. The position should be kept horizontal and not tilted left and right.
2. With Φ 8 diameter drill bit in metope drilled deep 55 mm hole, drilling, aperture is too large, are forbidden to avoid loose plastic expansion tubes and lead to a fall:
3. Install the plastic expansion tube into the hole of the wall and fasten the fastening parts on the wall with wood screws. -
Fixed host Hang the host on the host hook board on the wall. Please make sure that the host and the host hook board are fastened and fit together without any shaking or loosening.

Fix the stop screw
Press the stop screw on the top surface of the housing to ensure that the stop screw fits into the main machine without any looseness.As shown in figure 2. -
Install the oil cup
Push the oil cup along the oil cup bayonet at the lower part of the fume collection cavity Install check valve components As shown in figure 3, tighten the check valve components and check valve gasket at the outlet of the main engine and with eight M4*20 screws. -
Connect the universal air duct
1. Insert the universal duct into the groove of the check valve seat and fasten it to the check valve assembly with two ST3″8 self-tapping screws.
2. Connect the other side of universal duct directly with the public flue or outside the wall of the hole .The hole diameter on the wall should be Φ 190 mm;
3. The length of the universal air duct shall not exceed 3000mm, or more than two bends, so as not to affect the smoke exhaust . -
Install the outer decorative cover
Take out the outer decorative cover , connect the outer decorative cover with the decorative cover hook board and fix it together, and then the outer decorative cover which has the hole to buckle the screw on the roof and gently push the outer decorative cover backward, and then connect the outer decorative cover with the hood and fix it.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS – CONTROL PANEL
CONTROL PANEL FEATURES
| Turns the range hood on or off.
(1) When the machine is off, press this button to turn it on.
(2) When the machine is running, press this button to enter delay-off mode;
unit will run soft speed for 3 minutes and turn off automatically. During
delay-off mode, press this button to turn the machine off.

| Controls the fan speed. Press this button and the speed of the fan will
switch in soft speed.
| Controls the fan speed. Press this button and the speed of the fan will
switch in high speed.
| Controls the fan speed. Press this button and the speed of the fan will
switch to boost speed for 30 seconds before switch back to high speed. During
boost speed, press this button again and the time will be re-timed for 30
seconds.
| Use when you want to clean the machine.
When machine is off, press this button to activate heating clean function.
Heating element will work for 10 minutes and machine run high speed for 1
minute. Then machine turns off automatically. Press this button or On/Off
button during heating clean function to turn the function off. When this
function is on, soeed buttons are locked.
After machine run for 15 hours accumulated, this button will blink for 10
seconds as a clean warning when machine turned on. When heating clean function
was _ used the time counting will be reset.
| Turns the light on or off.Lighting switch operates independently.
| Waive hands across the left and right sensing area to turn on or turn off
the hood.
Machine has speed memory function; when it is turned on, it will enter the
latest speed setting when it was turned off last time. When heating clean
function is on, waiving function is locked.
We recommend turning your rangehood on before starting cooking for optimal performance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning and maintenance preparation
- Before cleaning or maintaining the range hood, be sure to remove the power plug
- Please wear rubber gloves when cleaning or maintaining, in case the metal parts hurt people quickly.
- When cleaning and maintenance, take off the parts and put them gently to avoid deformation.
- Please clean and maintain the range hood regularly according to your usage frequency and surrounding environment.
Cleaning main body
- After using the range hood everyday, should wipe advocate airframe surface.
- To protect the coating on the surface of the body, please use neutral detergent and soft cloth when wiping, do not use such as toothpaste, washing brush and other bristle brush.
- Do not use gasoline, alcohol and other corrosive chemical reagents or toothpaste, detergent, washing powder and other detergent with grinding function to wipe the surface
Oil cup
Hold the oil cup with both hands horizontally and pull it outward to remove
the oil cup. When the oil stored in the oil cup reaches a certain amount, it
shall be cleaned in time to prevent overflow.
Clean oil guide plate
- First, open the glass panel, and then hold the oil guide plate with both hands to push upward, the oil guide plate can be taken down;(figure 4)
- It will be better to use warm water anddetergent immersion for a period of time to wash the oil guide plate , the oil guide plate with a cloth to wipe clean, and then rinse again with water can be;
- Every day after using the range hood , wipe the outer surface of the oil guide plate lightly. It is recommended to clean the inside of the oil guide plate once a week.
Clean the impeller
- Special care should be taken when cleaning the impeller. Do not collide or throw away the clamp on the blade, so as to prevent the dynamic balance of the impeller from getting worse and causing vibration and noise of the whole machine;
- It is recommended to clean the impeller every three months.
TROUBLESHOOTING
solutions for common faults
In case of a fault, first try the suggestions below. If the problem cannot be
fixed, please get in touch with your local Haier after-sales service centre.
Only professional technicians may dismantle and repair the rangehood.

Rangehood body is not installed at the correct height.| Re-install the
appliance at the required height.
Universal ducting hose is too long. has not been stretched tight. or has too
many bends.| Reduce the length of the ducting hose or the number of bends.
Shared flue aperture is too narrow or the air outlet is poorly sealed.| Widen
the flue aperture or improve the outlet sealing.
The check valve blade is stuck and cannot function properly.| Fix the blade
and ensure the valve is working correctly.
Rangehood has not been cleaned.| Clean the rangehood in accordance with the
instructions.
Oil leak.| Too much oil in the oil cup.| Remove waste oil in the oil cup.
Oil cover has not been cleaned.| Clean the oil cover in accordance with
the instructions.
Main housing hasn’t been cleaned.| Wipe the main housing every day after use
in accordance with the instructions.
Note: if you are unable to fix the problem by following the above prompts, or one of the situations below occurs, please unplug the rangehood straight away and contact our after-sales service centre.
- The rangehood runs unevenly when turned on;
- The rangehood makes an unusual noise during operation;
- Strange odours, heat or smoke are discovered, or other unusual circumstances not mentioned above occur.
The following phenomenon is not a malfunction
PHENOMENON | CAUSE |
---|
The product makes a clicking noise after the power is switched
off for a few seconds.| Air pressure causes the two blades of the check valve
to open during operation. After the power supply is switched off, the fan
gradually stops rotating and the blades fall back by themselves, emitting a
clicking noise.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
You automatically receive a Manufacturer’s Warranty (5 years for motor and 3
years for general) with the purchase of this range hood covering parts and
labour.
Haier undertakes to: Repair or, at its option, replace without cost to the
owner either for material or labour any part of the product, the serial number
of which appears on the product, which is found to be defective within THREE
YEAR of the date of purchase.
Note: this Manufacturer’s Warranty is an extra benefit and does not affect
your legal rights.
This Manufacturer’s Warranty DOES NOT cover
A Service calls which are not related to any defect in the product. The cost
of a service call will be charged if the problem is not found to be a product
fault. For example:
- Correcting the installation of the product.
- Instructing you how to use the product.
- Replacing house fuses or correcting house wiring or plumbing.
- Correcting fault caused by the user.
- Noise or vibration that is considered normal, eg drain/fan sounds, refrigeration noises or user warning beeps.
- Correcting damage caused by pests, eg rats, cockroaches, etc.
- Replacement light bulbs.
B Defects caused by factors other than:
- Normal domestic use; or
- Use in accordance with the product’s user guide.
C Defects to the product caused by accident, neglect, misuse or ‘act of God’.
D The cost of repairs carried out by non-authorised repairers or the cost of
correcting such unauthorised repairs.
E Normal recommended maintenance as set out in the product’s user guide.
F Repairs when the appliance has been dismantled, repaired or serviced by
other than Haier Authorised Repairer or the selling dealer.
G Pick-up and delivery.
H Transportation or travelling costs involved in the repair when the product
is installed outside the Haier Authorised Repairer’s normal service area.
This product has been designed for use in normal domestic (residential)
environment. This product is not designed for commercial use (whatsoever). Any
commercial use by customer will affect this product’s Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Service under this Manufacturer’s Warranty must be provided by Haier
Authorised Repairer. Such service shall be provided during normal business
hours. This Manufacturer’s Warranty certificate should be shown when making
any claim.
