For first time installation, please make sure that the Asante products and your router are within close proximity to each other. Once configured, they can be moved to desired locations.

Step 1
Connection to the router
Using the RJ45 Ethernet cable provided, connect the Asante Home Extender to a LAN port on your router.
Step 2
Power
- Connect the power to Asante Home Externder and make sure power light comes on.
- Cloud light comes on usually after 1 to 3 minutes depending on the Internet connection.
Step 3
Download app and device discovery
Connect Smartphone to same Wi-Fi router that Asante Home Extender is connected to.
- Download free app from Apple Store or Google Play Simply search for Asante Smart Home
- Create an account and sign in
- Claim your first Asante Home Extender when prompted.
If your Smartphone can not connect to same WiFi router, use the procedure below to manually add the device.
- Login to app and click the + sign as shown
- Enterthe MAC address that appears on the back of Asante Home Extender in the fields provided and click on apply.
Step 4
Setup of Garage Door Opener with Camera
- Connect the power to your new Asente Garage Door Opener with Camera.
- LED lights on Asente Garage Door Opener with Camera will start to blink indicating WiFi pairing with Asante Home Extender.
- Asante Home Extender pairing light will blink until the wireless connection has been established.
- Claim your first Garage Door Opener with Camera when prompted in the app.
- Disconnect the power and move it to you desired location to prepare for installation

Attaching Garage Door Opener with Camera to your current garage door wall mount button
We recommend to unplug your garage door electric motor from the AC power during the installation.
Each Garage Door Opener with Camera can control up to two garage doors. 1. Using one set of wires (provided), insert tips into the green connector.

WiFi setup for Asante Home Extender (Optional)
Asante Home Extender wireless bridge mode can extend your wireless coverage in a large size property. For areaslarger than 5000 sq.ft, consider placing the Asante Home Extender in a central location to bridge Asante devices intoyour home router. Otherwise we strongly recommend using the Ethernet wired mode. If you still want to use the wireless option, please follow the procedure below.
Use wireless connection to maximize the Wi-Fi coverage. Asante Home Extender can cover up to 5000 sq.ft
- Login to app and select the settings button as shown below
- Select Wi Fi manager
- Select your home router from the list
- Enter your personal wireless password that has been setup on your router when prompted.
Once connected, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable between the Asante Home Extender and router and move the Asante Home Extender to appropriate location. The lights on the Asante Home Extender will indicate a wireless signal.

What would I need if I have five garage doors? 3 in one building and 2 in another?****
One will operate on two doors.
Do I need a camera to get it?****
No, the camera transmits and receives data from the door opener device as well as from tiny round donuts (battery-operated wireless devices that send garage door signals to the camera and transmitted to a modem or other devices that connect to the Internet when there is a low signal). When there is a low signal, an Extender is added to boost the signal to and from the device that connect to the internet.
Can I use the All-star Access 3500 garage door opener with this product?****
Open the wall mount button in your garage to learn the response to this query for your garage door motor or any other motor. The wall mount button has two pins on the back. The Asante Camera Opener will function if you briefly short the two pins for two seconds while the garage opens and closes. If it doesn’t, your device is programmed and won’t function. Asante works with 99.9% of the motors, but some new motors, such MYQ motors, won’t close or open when the two pins on the wall mount button are shorted.
Can you allow guests access or have numerous accounts?****
You can set up different accounts to manage your devices, yes. If not needed, you may at any moment revoke access.

Does it work with Android phones?****

A switch is activated when a button is pressed or a keypad is used. Simply look for a switch. Additionally, I can’t picture the garage having a keypad rather than a button. My response is that I am unsure of how to relate it. Not to a keypad, though.
It is compatible with Android?****
