Frequently Asked Questions
How well does it chop?****
It does chop. Carrots work wonders with it. This past week, I only used the processor to make a carrot salad.
Does it cut potatoes that are raw well? We enjoy making potato chips, but it can be frustrating to slice them, especially evenly.****
I’m not sure if you’re asking if the slices are even or not, but the answer is yes. If you also need to quickly prepare hash browns. When you’re ready, rinse them in a strainer with warm to hot tap water after shredding them and adding warm tap water to the catch basin. Remove the starch, then cook them in a pan with olive oil for a delicious result.
The product is bpa-free?****
I’m not sure, but since you mostly process raw food, it shouldn’t matter.
Is it loud? Due to hand arthritis, I can’t decide between this one and Hamilton Beach. According to hb reviews, it is noisy.****
It makes noise when it operates because it is a food processor, but I wouldn’t say it is excessively loud for a unit. I do think the Hamilton Beach product is superior in terms of quality, functionality, and durability.
It kneads bread dough, right?****
In the food processor’s packaging, there is a dough blade. The dough blade cannot incorporate flour when processing very small amounts of flour because it does not reach the workbowl’s outer rim.
Is the pusher required to use this?****
We suggest placing the food pusher inside the feed chute to prevent any food from reentering the chute while being cut, shredded, or chopped.
Is there a dough blade on it?****
This blade has two. One is used for slicing and dicing, and the other is the actual blade used for cutting. A dough blade is something I have never seen, so I am unsure what it is.
Will the size of the potato slices be suitable for scalloped potatoes?****
Food processor made by Black + Decker. There is a reversible disc for slicing or shredding in this food processor. You might need to cut the potato into slightly smaller pieces, depending on the size of the slices you intend to make.
Does this have a “s” blade for chopping?****
Yes, it does; excellent device.
Does it blend similarly to a standard blender?****
It’s a food processor, though. This is not the same as a blender because they are designed differently and work better with liquids.
