Speaker Mounting Brackets
IMPORTANT
Before starting, compare items on your invoice with items received. Thoroughly
check packing materials. If an item is missing, please call Crutchfield at
1-888-955-6000.
IMPORTANT
It may be necessary to acquire screws to secure speaker to speaker adapter
bracket.
The angled base plates are only needed if the front door factory speaker
brackets are not present.
- If installing 6-3/4″ speakers, break off the inner tabs on the speaker brackets to accommodate your new speakers (Figure 1).
- a. Front door location:
• Secure angled base plate (Figure 2) to front door steel if factory speaker brackets are not present.
• Secure speaker bracket to factory bracket (if present) or angled base plate by aligning bracket’s two (2) locator pins with the holes in the angled base plate and with three (3) screws (Figures 3 & 4).
• Make wiring connections following instructions with speaker wiring adapter.
• Secure new speaker to speaker bracket assembly.
2b. Rear door location:
• Secure speaker bracket to rear door steel.
• Make wiring connections following instructions with speaker wiring adapter.
• Secure new speaker to speaker bracket.
