Connections and controls
Front panel connectors and controls
-
Connection socket microphone line
This connector is designed as a combo jack. Both XLR microphone cables and 6.3mm jack cables/instrument cables can be connected to this jack. -
Connector sockets stereo channel
The connections of the stereo channel are designed as 6.3mm jack sockets and as RCA sockets. Since the input signals are processed together in a stereo bus, it is recommended to use either the jack or the RCA input for both signal paths to avoid unwanted volume differences. -
Phantom power switch
The microphone channels (Mini4 – channels 1 and 2 / Mini6 – channels 1 to 4) have optional phantom power. Press this button to activate +48V phantom power on the XLR input of the combo jack and press the button again to deactivate phantom power.
It is advisable to activate phantom power only when the signal source (e.g. condenser microphone) requires it. Phantom power should be deactivated when plugging and unplugging the cable. To avoid noise caused by the switching pulse, it is advisable to turn the volume control of the mixing console to minimum before switching phantom power on and off. -
LED phantom power
This LED lights up when phantom power is activated. -
Gain control
This control determines the signal strength of the incoming signal. Turn the Gain knob clockwise to increase the signal strength and counterclockwise to decrease the signal strength. For the highest quality signal processing, it is recommended that the gain level be as high as possible. If the gain level is too high, the PEAK LED indicator for the respective channel will light up. In this case, reduce the gain level immediately. Please note that the PEAK LEDs should not light up during operation to avoid noise and damage. -
Knob 2-band EQ
Use the two EQ controls to adjust the treble and bass of the input signal. Turn the knob from the 12 o’clock position to the left to decrease the value and to the right to increase the value. -
Controller Effect Processor
The two controls of the effect processor influence the strength and the sound of the integrated effect. The Repeat control adjusts the number of echo repeats, the Delay control adjusts the speed of the echo repeats, and the LEVEL control adjusts the signal strength of the echo effect mixed to the output signal. -
EFX button
Press this button to assign the Delay/Repeat effect to the respective channel. -
PEAK LED
The PEAK LED indicates when the signal strength in the respective channel is too high. Please note that the PEAK LED of a channel should not light up during operation to avoid noise and damage. Turn the gain control of the corresponding channel counterclockwise to decrease the signal strength. -
Volume control of the respective channel strip
Turn the Volume knob clockwise to increase the level of the respective channel. If the CLIP LED on the level meter lights up, the level is too high. Turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease the level. Please note that the CLIP LED of the stereo sum should not light up during operation to avoid noise and damage. -
