-
Two suction hoses may not be connected to the vacuum cleaner at the same time. One suction nozzle must be tightly sealed with the connection bushing.
Safety instructions
DANGER
- When the outgoing air is carried back into the room, a sufficient ventilation rate L in the room must be ensured. To comply with the required limit values the carried back volume flow must be 50% of the fresh air volume flow (room volume VR x ventilation rate LW) at maximum. Without a specific ventilation system the following applies: LW=1h–1.
- Only persons trained in the use of the machine and the handling of substances for which the machine is to be used including training in the safe disposal of the sucked-in material may use the machine.
- This appliance contains harmful dust. Evacuation and maintenance work, including the disposal of the dust collection containers, may only be performed by specialists who wear the appropriate protective equipment.
- Do not use the appliance without the complete filtering system.
- Please follow the safety regulations applicable to the materials that are to be treated.
- The accessories approved by the manufacturer are electrically conductive. Do not use any other accessories!
- Vacuum only using all the filter elements; otherwise, the suction motor can get damaged and this can be hazardous to health on account of increased release of fine dust particles!
- Please observe the safety regulations applicable to the materials to be vacuumed up. During proper/ improper operation parts of the appliance can reach temperatures of up to 95 °C.
- You are not allowed to use an extension cable.
In Emergency
In case of emergency (e.g. in case of a short or other electrical errors), switch off the appliance and pull the mains plug.
Start up
Caution: Depending on the application, the suction hose can be attached to 2 different suction nozzles:
- Suction nozzle on the intermediate ring:
- Dry vacuum cleaning with disposal bag: Coarse dusts, large quantities of vacuumed material over a short period of time
- Wet vacuuming
- Suction nozzle on the dirt container:
- Dry vacuum cleaning with safety filter bag: Asbestos, fine particles, constantly large quantities of vacuumed material
- Wet vacuuming
**Warning
Do not vacuum without the filter elements; otherwise, the suction motor can
get damaged and this can be hazardous to health on account of increased
release of fine dust particles.
Note:** Additional regulations can be applicable to dusts with an ignition
capacity below 1mJ.
- Bring the appliance to working position – secure it, if required, with parking brakes.
- Attach the suction hose (not included in the scope of delivery) to the selected suction nozzle. Tightly seal the other suction nozzle with the connection bushing, see operation.
- Check the fill level in the dirt container prior to starting work and empty the container if necessary.
- Depending on the application, install the disposal bag or the safety filter bag when dry vacuuming, see “Dry vacuuming”.
- Ensure that the dirt container has been inserted properly.
- Attach the desired accessories (not included).
Automatic monitoring of suction capacity
The machine is equipped with a suction power monitor.
The control lamp “Vacuum pressure” lights up red if the air speed in the
suction hose falls below 20 m/s (see “Assistance in case of malfunctions”).
Note: The control lamp “negative pressure” can occasionally light up red
during normal operation (e.g., while working with a floor nozzle), if the air
volume comes down (cross-sectional reduction) causing a lower pressure.
Note: There is no defect in this case; only an indication that, as
specified above, the air volume has reduced and the low pressure has
increased.
Anti-static system
By means of the earthed suction nozzles static charges are bled off. This way, the electrically conductive accessories approved by the manufacturer prevent the formation of sparks and current surges.
Operation
WARNING
The flat pleated filter must always be in place while vacuuming.
-
Unused flat-fold filters may only be stored and transported in the packaging (carton).
Illustration A

Dry vacuum cleaning
WARNING
- Two suction hoses may not be connected to the vacuum cleaner at the same time. One suction nozzle must be tightly sealed with the connection bushing.
- When using the disposal bag, the lower suction nozzle must be tightly sealed.
- When using the safety filter bag, the upper suction nozzle must be tightly sealed.
- If the suction hose is connected to the wrong suction nozzle, a malfunction of the appliance occurs (automatic monitoring of the suction performance does not respond, increased dust emission, disposal bag is sucked towards the top).
Caution: Depending on the application, the suction hose can be attached to 2 different suction nozzles:
-
S uction nozzle on the intermediate ring:
Dry vacuum cleaning with disposal bag: Coarse dusts, large quantities of vacuumed material over a short period of time The device is equipped with a dust bag, order no. 9.989-606.0 (5 pieces). -
