MAINTENANCE

Maintenance must be performed on a regular basis. Performing maintenance actions can aid in providing safe and trouble-free operation of all equipment.
We are not responsible for performing regular inspection and maintenance actions
for your machine. We are available to answer any questions for you.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES
Proper maintenance helps keep the treadmill in the best condition while improper maintenance may damage or shorten the life span of the treadmill.

  1. Regularly clean and maintain the treadmill, ensuring all components are kept immaculate.
  2.  After each use of the treadmill, employ a pristine towel or cloth to wipe down vital areas such as the console, depleting sweat and debris. Take care not to allow electrical elements or running belt to come into contact with water.
  3. Seek to position your treadmill in an area that is clean, dry and free from moisture. Ensure it is powered off and disconnected from its socket prior to storage.
  4. Ease of transportation is incorporated within this product, equipped with wheels for seamless relocation. Prior to shifting the treadmill, ascertain it is unplugged and correctly folded.
  5. Conduct constant checks on the individual parts of the treadmill and ensure they are securely fastened. Components exhibiting signs of damage should be swiftly replaced.
  6. Prior to commencing exercise, the running belt has been appropriately adjusted; however, with continuous usage, there maybe varying degrees of stretching experienced by the belt. This may result in wearing out the belt due to its deviation from the centre and friction with the side roller and rear cover. Belt slippage over time is common. If the running belt slips or gets stuck during movement on the treadmill, you can adjust the belt for better performance.

PLEASE NOTE : Factors such as where the item is stored and how often the machine is used will affect the length of time between the necessary maintenance. It is recommended to perform this maintenance every six weeks.
Read all instructions and warnings listed both in this chapter and in the Safety chapter. During maintenance, disconnect the power cable.

Depending on where the treadmill is placed, you may experience dry air, causing a common experience of static electricity. You can notice that by walking across a carpet and then touching a metal object. On your treadmill you may experience a shock due to the build-up of static electricity on your body and the discharge path of the treadmill.
If you experience this type of situation, you may want to increase the humidity to a comfortable level through the use of a humidifier.

Check your machine regularly for rust. If rust starts to appear on the screws it means the item is not housed in the correct environment and will need to be moved to a more suitable room. Any rust will indicate there may be moisture in the air and as a result this could impact on the integrity and performance of your machine.

WARNING

  1. Only use water to clean and dust. Do not use any cleaning product because they may damage the treadmill.
  2.  Be careful not to spill or get excessive moisture between the edge of the display panel and the console, as this might create an electrical hazard or cause failure of the electronics.
  3. Direct spraying could cause damage to the electronics and may void the warranty.

WARNING

  1.  Use only appointed replacement parts.
  2. Unplug unit and let sit 10 minutes before cleaning or performing maintenance.
  3. Keep water and liquids away from electrical parts.
  4. Electrical charge can remain in unit after unplugging.
  5. If you allow your machine to become rusty, this will affect your warranty.

WARNING : EQUIPMENT HAZARD
To avoid serious injury or death:

  • Replace worn or damaged components immediately and do not use until repair is completed.
  •  Unplug unit when not in use or when performing regular maintenance.

TREADMILL LUBRICATIONDeerRun-2024-Home-Treadmill-
\(16\)

  1. The treadmill must be lubricated after half a year or a cumulative run of 100 hours. Add 1/3 to 1/2 bottle at a time
  2. Confirm the lubrication status. With the treadmill off, lift the running belt from one side and reach for the surface under the running belt, and if the lubricant can be touched, there is no need to add more lubricant. But if the lubricant dries up, refill it with it.(Use only non-petroleum-based lubricants).
  3. Follow the figure above to properly add the lubricant.
  4. After lubricating run the treadmill at 5.0 kph for 10-20 seconds to evely spread the oil.

HOW TO CHECK IF THE RUNNING BELT IS LOOSE

  • After a period of time, the user will feel there is a pause sensation whilst running. The running belt can become loose and stretch a bit over time causing a slipping sensation if it is not adjusted and tightened when needed.
  • If the belt is too tight, this may cause damage to your motor and/or roller. A belt too loose or too tight can cause wear and tear of both the belt and the board.
  • You can check if your belt is too loose by setting the speed to 1.0 kph then walking on the machine and try to stop the running belt with your feet while holding the handlebars and pulling your body in the opposite direction. If the belt stops, it means that it is loose and needs to be tightened.

TIGHTENING THE RUNNING BELT

  1. Power off the treadmill.

  2. Turn the two belt adjustment screws located at the end of the belt clockwise to tighten the belt slightly by quarters.
You must turn each screw on each side by the same amount to keep the belt aligned.

  3. Get back on the treadmill and check the belt (read description above). If it is still loose, re-adjust the belt screws by another quarter until you get the required tension on the belt.

  4. Run the machine on its own for 1-2 minutes to see if the belt stays centred.

ALIGNING THE RUNNING BELT
Usually between the frames and the running belt there should be a gap of 5-6 mm on both sides. If that gap is different it means that the belt is eccentric. So you have to put it back to the right position by following these steps:

  1. Power on and set the speed at 2.0-4.0 kph and adjust the screw at the end of the treadmill slowly with the Allen key.

  2. If the belt slants to the left, adjust the left bolt clockwise or adjust the right bolt
anti-clockwise. If the belt slants to the right, adjust in the opposite manner.

  3. While adjusting the belt, check if the gap of difference has disappeared, if it is still there, screw the bolt again. Repeat this procedure until the running belt is in the centre. It does not need to be aligned perfectly, but ensure it is not scraping or rubbing on anything on the sides.

  4. Set the speed at 6.0 kph to check if the running belt is still in the same position. Once you have checked that, the treadmill is ready to use.

DeerRun-2024-Home-Treadmill- \(18\) WORKOUT ROUTINES

  • Warm-up
A warm-up exercise of 5-10 minutes is recommended before each workout.

  • Breathing
Do not hold your breath during the workout. Normally, when you are ready to restore your movements, breathe through your nose and exhale with your mouth. Breathing should be coordinated with your movements. If you find you’re struggling to catch your breath, stop exercising until you can recover.

  • Frequency
Muscles in the same area should have 48 hours of rest, that is, the same area can be trained the next day.

  • Load
Depending on the individual physical condition of each person, this will determine the amount of training according to the principle of asymptotic load. Muscle soreness is normal at the beginning of training, as long as you continue the exercise, soreness can be eliminated.

  • Relax
Five minutes of restoring action should be taken after each exercise, especially when the foot muscles are stretched and relaxed to prevent long- term coagulation and maintain muscle elasticity.

  • Diet
In order to protect the digestive system, it’s recommended not to train within 60 minutes of eating any meal. After training, it’s recommended to eat within two hours to replenish your body’s glycogen stores. During exercise, take care not to drink large amounts of water, so as to avoid increasing the burden on the heart and kidney.

Declaration of Caution
Prior to commencing this or any exercise regimen, it is imperative that you consult your health care professional. Warm up exercises enhance blood circulation, providing muscles with increased oxygenation, elevation in body temperature, and preparation for the physical exertion to follow. Each training session should initiate with a five to ten minutes stretch routine and light movements warm-up. The accompanying illustrations showcase various fundamental stretches.
The recommended approach is to undertake a warm-up session prior to executing your workout. For comprehensive warm-up benefits, repeat each stretch for three consecutive sets.

  1. Stretch down :
Bend your knees slightly with your body stretch down slowly, let your back and shoulders relax, and try to extend your hands to touch your toes. Hold for 10-15 seconds and take a break for a few seconds.

  2. Hamstring stretch:
Sit down and straighten one leg and place the other leg inward towards the thigh and snug on the inside of the straightened leg. In the meantime, try to touch the toes of your straitened leg with the hand at the same side. Hold for 10-15 seconds and take a break for a few seconds.

  3. Calf and Achilles Tendon Stretches:
Place both hands against the wall while standing with one foot behind the other, keeping your back leg straight and both heels planted on the ground while leaning against the wall. Hold for 10-15 seconds and take a break for a few seconds.

  4. Quadriceps Stretch:
Hold your body steady with your left hand holding against the wall and right hand reaching back to grab your right heel and pull it slowly towards your hips, until you feel the muscle tightness at the front side of your thigh. Hold for 10-15 seconds and take a break for a few seconds. Repeat several times for each leg.

  5. Sartorius (muscle of inner thigh) Stretch :
Sit on the floor with your two feet holding against each other and your knees pointing to the opposite directions, grab your feet with your hands and pull them toward your groin. Hold for 10-15 seconds and take a break for a few seconds.
