MEASUREMENT

  1. Bring the tonometer near the patient’s eye.
NOTE! Avoid excessive restraining, as it may alter the IOP. Patient’s head should be held as lightly as possible; be careful not to put pressure on the neck or the eye ball. If a collar is worn, make sure it is not too tight or remove it for measurement.

  2. To perform a successful measurement, the distance from the tip of the probe to the patient’s cornea (see pictures) should be about 4-8 mm (about 5/32 – 5/16 in.). Bring the tonometer in front of the patient’s eye with the probe pointing to the center of the cornea. The probe base light must be green (indicating correct measuring position.)

  3. Default measure. The probe will contact the eye during measurements: press and hold the Measure button to collect 6 measurements in Series mode or press the button briefly 6 times to collect 1 measurement at a time in Single mode. The grey segments of the circle on the display screen will turn green one by one.

  4. Quick measure. The probe will contact the eye during measurements: press and hold the Measure button to collect 2-3 measurements in Series mode or press the button briefly 2-3 times to collect 1 measurement at a time in Single mode. The grey segments of the circle on the display screen will turn magenta one by one.

  1. Turn power off from tonometer.
  2. Unscrew the probe base collar and remove the probe base from the tonometer.
  3. Insert the probe base into the cleaning container filled with 70-100% isopropyl alcohol and let soak for 5-30 minutes.
  4. Remove and dry the probe base by blowing some clean canned or compressed air into it.
  5. Reinsert the completely dry probe base and screw back the probe base collar. Alternatively, insert new probe base.
