You will begin by mounting the decorative furniture legs to either side of the toe kick overlay. Mark a light pencil line ½” from either end of the toe kick overlay as shown in Figure 1.
-
Stand one leg on a flat surface oriented as shown in Figure 2.
Position the toe kick overlay behind the leg and aligned with your pencil line. (Standing the leg and toe kick overlay in an upright position on a flat surface ensures that they are flush at the bottom.)
NOTE: Your leg design might vary depending on the style purchased. -
In two places, drill a 1/16” pilot hole through the back of the toe kick overlay and into the leg.
-
Insert two 1” flat head wood screws to secure the leg to the toe kick overlay as shown in Figure 3.
-
Repeat this procedure for the second leg.
-
ay the vanity cabinet on its back.
-
Apply a bead of construction adhesive to the vanity toe kick as shown in Figure 4.
-
Place the toe kick overlay and legs onto the vanity toe kick and allow the adhesive to dry. Apply touch-up as necessary to edges of toe kick overlay.
-
Stand the vanity cabinet upright. Install cabinet and top using instructions provided.
-
Attach hardware after careful measuring. Use your drill to make pilot holes and install hardware with the screws supplied. To prevent screw heads used for door hardware from scratching face frames, you may want to countersink screw heads so they can’t strike the face frame.
NOTE: Jig/Templates are usually available where hardware is sold, and may be useful for accurate hardware installation. Please be sure that doors and drawers are aligned prior to drilling for hardware installation.
