Safety instructions

Warning

  • The wall switch is part of the building installation. During planning and setup, the relevant national standards and directives must be observed. The device may only be operated on a 230 V 50 Hz AC voltage network. Work on the 230 V network must only be carried out by an electrician certified in your country. The applicable accident prevention regulations must be adhered to.
  • To avoid an electric shock from the device, please disconnect the mains voltage (switch off the automatic circuit breaker). Failure to comply with the installation instructions can cause fires or other hazards.
  • The installation must be carried out only in conventional flush-mounted sockets with a minimum depth of 40 mm.
  • When connecting to the device terminals, note the permissible cables and cable cross-sections for this.
  • Observe the circuit diagram carefully!
  • Do not use any heat-generating devices (such as electric blankets, coffee machines, etc.) with this product. There is a risk of fire and injury.
  •  Do not use this product with any devices that are motorised or any devices that have a rotating component or tool. There is a risk of injury.
  • The product is intended only for use inside buildings.
  • Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
  • Do not continue to operate the device if it is visibly damaged
  • Only operate with closed safety covers.
  • Use the product only for the intended purpose.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry rooms only.
  • Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
  • As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
  •  Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
  • Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
  • Do not use the product in a damp environment and avoid splashing water.
  • Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
  • Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
  • Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
  • The product must only be operated on a supply network as described on the type plate.
  • Do not bend or crush the cable.
  • Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
  • Small splinters of glass can lead to injuries if touched. Dispose of the product immediately if it is damaged or splintered during application or use.
  • Only touch the damaged or splintered product on undamaged areas and the edge.
  • Be very careful while doing so, thoroughly wash your hands afterwards and avoid contact with face and eyes.

Installation

  • Switch off the relevant fuse (fuse box) for the room in which you wish to install the switch.
  • Check that the wires are de-energised using a suitable measuring device (e.g. multimeter).
  • Connect the WiFi touch wall switch as shown below:

  • Fit the switch into a suitable wall or surface-mounted socket.
  • Replace the glass cover on the switch and check that it has engaged properly.

Download the app

  • Download the Hama Smart Home (Solution) app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Open the Hama Smart Home (Solution) APP
  • The first time you use the app, you need to register and create a new account. If you already have an account, log in with your access details.
  • Follow the instructions in the app.

Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home (Solution) app

  • After installing the switch, the blue LED flashes quickly. If it does not flash, press and hold the button for approx. 6 seconds until the LED starts to flash.

  • Open the app and sign in.

  • Press the “+ in the top right-hand corner to add a new device.

  • Choose Switches from the list.

  • Next enter your WiFi password and confirm with “NEXT”.

  • Now confirm that the blue LED is flashing quickly by ticking “Next step” and clicking “Next”.

  • Your switch is now connected.

  • Once the connection is successful, the LED stops flashing quickly and the app confirms that your switch has been connected. You can now assign it a different name if you wish.

  • Click Finish to end the process.

  • You can now attach the switch and configure it.

Setting options

The following settings can be made in the app:

  1. Switching switches on/off individually
  2. Switch on all switches
  3. Timeline settings
  4. Switch off all switches
    For extended usage options, scenarios can be created in the app. (See Section 8 and App Guide)

Extended usage options with scenarios

Scenarios and automated sequences that can be created in the app allow various combination options and usage options for these products, depending on the SmartHome products in your home. Programming is always via the app (see Section 4 of the App Guide) and will be offered / suggested to you on an individual basis.

Product characteristics
The motion sensor can be used for monitoring (push message to the smartphone when triggered) or for controlling other smart products (e.g. lamps).

Care and maintenance

  • Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
  • Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
