2.3 LED Indicators

Description z The product is being turned on or off. The product is recording

3. Before Use
3.1 Install the Nano SIM Card
Place your fingernail in the edge of the card slot cover, and then press and
remove the cover. Slide the Nano SIM card holder to the left and open it up.
Place the Nano SIM card in the slot. Close down the holder and slide it to the
right to lock it in place. Put back the card slot cover, and then press firmly
on the cover.
3.2 Attach and Remove the Battery
z Use only the Company’s standard or optional battery. Polarity reverse or use
of other batteries may result in explosion and fire hazards.
z Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the “Recycling and Handling
Safety Precautions” in Safety Information Manual.
z Attach the battery a. Align the two protrusions on the top of the battery
with the two holes on the battery slot. b. Press the bottom of the battery
down into the battery slot. c. Slide the battery latch to the left until you
hear a click.
z Remove the battery a. Turn off the product. b. Press down the gray button in
the middle of the battery latch, and then slide the battery latch to the
right. The battery is unlocked.
3.3 Attach and Remove the Belt Clip
z To attach the belt clip, slide the belt clip down to the slot, as shown in
the following figure.
z To remove the belt clip, press the metal piece upward during reversing the
attaching steps.
3.4 Charge the Battery
Connect the product with the battery attached to power supply through the USB
cable and power adapter in the
package, as shown in the following figure. You can learn about the charging status from the LED indicator. For details, see 2.2 LED Indicator.
4. Basic Operations
4.1 Turn On or Off the Product
Long press the Power On/Off key to turn on or off the product. After being
turned on, the product displays the language selection interface or the video
recording interface.
4.2 Understand the Screen

4.2.1 Status Bar Icon
The following table describes icons that might appear in the status bar.

4.2.2 Control and Notification Center
To enter the control and notification center, on the main screen, swipe down
from the status bar. z In the control center, you can adjust volume or
brightness, turn on or off the stealth mode or flashlight, open
settings,
z In the notification center, you can view or clear notifications. New
notifications are displayed shortly at the top of screen, or displayed
constantly in the middle of screen until you acknowledge it.
4.2.3 Sleep and Wakeup
Sleep
z Manually Press the Power On/Off key.
z Automatically Go to Settings > System > Sleep, and then set the sleep time.
When the sleep time is up, the product enters sleep mode automatically.
Wakeup
Press the Power On/Off key.
4.3 Connect to the Network
4.3.1 Mobile Network
Before enabling the cellular network, make sure that the SIM card is properly inserted and registered to the carrier networks. When not using the cellular network, disable the cellular network to save traffic and extend the standby time.
Go to Settings > Network & connection > Mobile network.
To enable mobile network, tap
following Mobile data.
(Optional) To enable data roaming, tap
following Data roaming.
4.3.2 WLAN
You can connect the product to the WLAN to access the server, make calls, and send and receive messages.
To use the WLAN, do the following:
Open Settings.
¾ Swipe down from the status bar, and then tap .
¾ On the home screen, tap .
Go to Network & connection > WLAN.
Tap
following WLAN.
The available WLAN networks will be displayed.
Tap a network.
The product will automatically connect to the network.
(Optional) If the network displays with a icon, enter the password, and then tap CONNECT.
The product automatically saves the WLAN information upon successful connection, and automatically reconnects when WLAN is switched on.
4.4 Adjust the Volume
z Swipe down from the status bar, and then tap the volume bar or drag the
slider. z See 5 System Settings.
5. System Settings
On the home screen, tap , and then configure the parameters according to
actual situations.
Setting Account
Description You can view information such as user name, user ID, agency name, and agency number.
WLAN
You can enable or disable the WLAN, view the available networks, and connect to a network. After successful WLAN connection, you can access the Internet or connect to other network devices to share files.
Network &

BT
You can enable or disable the BT, set whether the product can be detected through BT, view other BT devices, and connect to other BT devices in close proximity to exchange data.
Mobile network
You can enable or disable the mobile data or data roaming.
Video resolution
You can set the video resolution to 1080p@30fps, 720p@30fps, or 480p@30fps. A high resolution indicates a large size of the video file.
Silent video You can enable or disable the Silent Video Record feature. When this feature is

enabled, the product records soundless videos only.
Photo resolution
You can set the photo resolution to 3 MP, 5 MP, 8 MP, or 16 MP.
Multimedia
Night vision
You can turn on or off the IR LED, or set the Night vision to Auto. In Auto mode, the product automatically turns on the IR LED when it detects not enough light during recording.
Image Stabilization
You can turn on or off the Image Stabilization feature. With this feature enabled, you can record shake-free videos.
Pre-event record
Pre-event Record enables the product to capture a preset time of footage before the you toggle down the Video Recording key.
Post-event record
Post-event Record enables the product to continue to record for a preset time after you toggle up the Video Recording key.
Loop video
With the Loop Video feature enabled, the product will overwrite earliest untagged videos to save new videos when the storage is full.
Setting Flicker
Description When the product is used under indoor fluorescent lamp, the LCD touch screen may have flickers or stripes during video and photo shooting. With this feature enabled, the product will adjust the flickers or stripes automatically.
Airplane mode
With Airplane mode enabled, the product disables mobile data and WLAN automatically.
Brightness
You can adjust the screen brightness automatically or manually. With Adaptive brightness enabled, the product automatically adjusts the screen brightness according to the environmental brightness over the light sensor for optimal experience.
System
Sleep Volume
If the product remains idle for over the preset sleep time, the screen automatically goes off to save battery power. You can set the sleep time to Never, 10s, 30s, 1 min, or 2 min. You can adjust the volume of multimedia or ringtone.
Tone
The product gives audible alerts for some operations, such as starting or ending a recording, taking photos, or triggering an alarm. You can set tone to Off, Tone, or Voice broadcast.
Language
You can set the displayed language to simplified Chinese, English, or Russian.
Stealth mode
With the stealth mode enabled, the product gives no audible alerts, the indicator does not light, and the screen goes dim to keep the product unnoticeable.
Date & time You can check the date and time.
About device
You can view the device name, device ID, software version, serial number (SN), international mobile equipment identifier (IMEI), mobile equipment identifier (MEID), and storage capacity (total space and available space).
6. Basic Functions
6.1 Video Recording
Before video recording, set the related parameters, such as Video Resolution,
Night Vision, Pre-event Record, or Post-event Record. For details, see 5
System Settings. z Normal recording
a. In the preview mode, toggle down the Video Recording key to start
recording. The LCD touch screen displays the recording time.
b. Toggle up the Video Recording key to end recording.
z Pre-event recording During pre-event recording, the product displays the
icon .
z Post-event recording During post-event recording, the product displays the
icon .
6.2 Audio Recording
You can record the on-site audios during law enforcement. z Normal recording
a. In the preview mode, long press the preprogrammed Audio Recording key to
start recording. The LCD touch screen displays the recording time.
b. Long press the preprogrammed Audio Recording key again to end recording.
6.3 Photo Taking
You can take photos during law enforcement. Before photo taking, set the
related parameters. For details, see 5 System Settings. Press the
preprogrammed Photo Taking key to take a photo.
6.4 Photo Snapshot
You can snapshot the key static scenes during the video recording. During
video recording, press the preprogrammed Photo Taking key to snapshot a photo.
6.5 Evidence Tagging/Untagging
Tagging
You can tag videos or audios as key evidence during or after recording.
z During Recording
Long press the Tagging key. z After Recording
a. On the home screen, tap Gallery.
b. Enter the password (“123456” as the initial password).
c. Tap Video, Audio, or Photo.
d. In the upper right corner of the screen, tap Operate.
e. Tap Tag.
f. Select one or multiple recordings, and then tap Tag.
The tagged recording will be marked with
in the upper left corner.
Emergency video recordings will be automatically tagged.
Untagging
On the home screen, tap Gallery. Enter the password (“123456” as initial
password). Tap Video, Audio, or Photo. In the upper right corner of the
screen, tap Operate. Tap Untag. Select one or multiple recordings, and then
tap Untag.
The video and audio tagged during recording cannot be untagged.
6.6 Videos/Photos/Audios Playback
On the home screen, tap Gallery.
Enter the password (“123456” as the initial password). Tap Video, Photo, or Audio to enter the playback list. Tap a video, photo, or audio in the playback list to enter the playback interface. (Optional) Do as follows:
If You Want to… View the details of the video, photo, or audio
Then… In the upper right corner of the playback interface, tap . Tap Details.
Add labels to evidence
In the upper right corner of the playback interface, tap . Tap Add Label.
6.7 Flashlight
On the home screen, swipe down from the status bar to enter the control center.
Tap
to turn on the flashlight.
To turn off the flashlight, tap .
6.8 Emergency Alarms
z Turn on emergency alarms Press the Emergency key. The product gives a voice
prompt “Enter emergency mode”, starts tagged recording, and sends an emergency
message to the dispatcher. After the dispatcher receives the message, the
product will upload the real-time scene to the dispatcher and join a voice
call initiated by the dispatcher.
z Turn off emergency alarms During an emergency alarm, long press the
Emergency key. The product stops tagged recording.
6.9 PoC Services
With a PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) app installed on the product, you can
initiate or receive one-to-one or oneto-many calls over the public network.
For details on PoC services, refer to the related User Manual of the PoC app.
7. Data Collection
You can switch the product into disk mode through the BWC Manager, and then
copy photos, audios, and videos to your PC. For details on the operations, in
the upper right corner of the BWC manager interface, click Help. Connect the
product to your PC as is shown the following figure:
If you have purchased the multi-unit charger, you can also collect data
through the charger. For details, refer to the related User Manual.
8. Troubleshooting
Phenomena
Analysis The battery may be improperly attached.
Solution Reattach the battery.
The product cannot be turned on.
The battery may run out.
The battery and the charging probes are in poor contact due to dirtied or
damaged battery contacts.
Recharge or replace the battery. Clean the battery contacts.
The volume is low when you play back audios or videos.
The microphone and the speaker may be blocked or damaged.
Clean the microphone and the speaker.
The product cannot record videos or audios.
The TF card may be full.
Switch the product to the disk mode. Export and store the data. Delete all data from the TF card.
The product cannot take photos.
The TF card may be full.
Switch the product to the disk mode. Export and store the data. Delete all data from the TF card.
The product cannot perform pre-event or post-event recording.
The Pre-event Record or Post-event Record feature may be disabled.

9. Care and Cleaning
To guarantee optimum performance as well as a long service life of the
product, please follow the tips below.
Product Care
z Do not pierce or scrape the product. z Keep the product away from substances
that can corrode the circuitry. z Do not hold the product by the connection
cable.
Product Cleaning
z Turn off the product and remove the battery before cleaning. z Make sure the
product is completely dry before use. z Clean up the dust and fine particles
on the product’s surface with a clean and dry lint-free cloth or a brush
regularly. z Use neutral cleanser and a non-woven fabric to clean the keys and
surface after long-time use. Do not use chemical preparations such as stain
removers, alcohol, sprays or oil preparations, so as to avoid surface damage.
10. Optional Accessories
Use the accessories specified by the Company only. Otherwise, we shall not be
liable for any losses or damages arising out of the use of any unauthorized
accessories. Contact your local dealer for the optional accessories of the
product.
