Once the catch is fully pushed down, the cocking mechanism will push forward and engage staple cartridges.

WARNING
To avoid injury, ensure body parts are clear of staple exit point at all times.

Troubleshooting Guidelines

Jamming of staples during installation

  • If the staple does not exit ramming chamber fully, do not pull up the handle. This will cause cocking of the next available staple, resulting in further jamming. Attempt to fully discharge the staple slowly, gradually adding pressure.
  • If the prior attempt fails, partially pull up handle (1 or 2 inches above staple) and repeatedly thrust down on the jammed staple until it is completely discharged.
  • If the prior attempt fails, stop operation, remove all staples in chamber, and remove jammed staple by sliding it upwards and back through the top of the ramming chamber.

WARNING

  • Use caution when removing any jammed staples. It is recommended that a screwdriver or pliers be used to clear blockage. Always use personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection.
  • Keep all body parts clear of staple exit point at all times.

Cocking mechanism binding during reloading

  • If the cocking mechanism binds or does not pull back properly, pull back on the mechanism slowly with one hand while guiding the unit along the track with the other hand. It is recommended that you acquire assistance from a second person to hold the gun steady during this process.

The catch dislodges or does not pop up through opening

  • Empty staples from gun and allow cocking mechanism to slide forward, exposing rear of magazine chamber.
  • With a screwdriver, re-adjust catch through pipe opening at rear of gun.
  • Ensure catch is working properly before reloading.

WARNING
It is important that the catch is working properly at all times to avoid premature release of cocking mechanism during loading. Failure to maintain a working catch may result in injury.
