Sippy Straw Bottles
Dr. Brown’s Milestones soft silicone sippy straw and sippy straw bottle are
designed to help your child transition from bottle to cup. The sippy straw and
flip-top cap can also be used in place of the nipple/teat on the Dr. Brown’s
Options+ Bottles when the internal vent system has been removed. Sippy Straws
will only work with the Flip-Top Cap. They will not work properly with the
vent system installed, or in non Dr. Brown’s Bottles. READ AND SAVE THESE
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE.
BEFORE FIRST AND EACH USE: Before first use, fully disassemble all parts, wash the product, then place the components in boiling water for five minutes. This is to ensure hygiene. To prevent a possible choking hazard, pull on the straw in all directions before each use to ensure it does not tear. Inspect carefully, especially when the child develops teeth. Discontinue use and replace the straw immediately if any signs of wear or damage are visible, such as cracking or change of shape. Small pieces can accidentally be inhaled and cause serious injury.
CLEANING : Be sure to remove wire cleaning brush from bottle before cleaning. Fully disassemble all parts and wash prior to each use. Use the wire cleaning brush to clean the silicone straw. All parts are safe for use in dishwasher (top rack only), electric sterilizer, microwave sterilizer, or boiling water. Do not microwave wire cleaning brush.
Sippy Straw Assembly:
- Insert weighted straw piece into the sippy straw piece until it is tightly in place.
- Insert assembled weighted sippy straw into the flip-top cap from the bottom side of the cap, and pull sippy straw from the top until it snaps into place.
- Flip-top cap needs to be open for assembly to work. Ensure sippy straw is snapped into place for correct use.
- Fill the bottle for feeding and tighten the cap with sippy straw onto the bottle.
