Thank you for buying the HAA86C! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don’t install or use it and contact your dealer. The HAA86C has a card capacity of 1,000,000 and has 4 door-opening modes:
- With card only
- With card + PIN code
- With card only or by pressing a key
- Free-access mode
Settings & Activation
Use a knife or another sharp object to free the small frame around the keypad from the housing. Remove the four screws and take out the front panel. You can now set the hardware to your requirements through the 8 jumpers (JP1 through JP8 in the wiring diagram on the last page). The alarm output is activated for 4 seconds when the device is activated. The two-colour LED will flash (red) and the user will hear one long and two short beeps. The device is now ready for use.
Description
- Card-Only Mode: the door will be opened when the card is held in front of the reader. The card is marked with a 6-digit ID. Before using this mode, enter the ID number into the reader.
- Card- &-PIN-Code Mode: hold the card next to the reader and enter the 4-digit common PIN code (=6890 in our example).
- How does the common PIN code work?
- This simply means that everyone has a different card but uses the same
- PIN code to open the door. The common PIN code always consists of 4 digits and only one common PIN code can be used at a time.
- Key Mode: the door will open by entering the 6-digit ID code or any 6-digit PIN code.
- Free-Access Mode: any electromagnetic card can open the door without entering the card ID. This mode can be used to test the reader. It is recommended not to use this mode as only the card can open the door.
- Password Mode: this is the code for entering the command mode.
