Quick Start
Powering On the M500
Your agency administrator typically configures the M500 to power on with your vehicle ignition.
- Start your vehicle.
The M500 boots up. When it has finished, the Display Screen shows the Live View streaming from the front camera.
Live View and Display Control Panel
Live View shows a live video stream overlaid with informational text and icons. Control Panel buttons control basic system functions. Access features with a screen touch or a button press.
Logging In to the M500
You log in to the M500 at the beginning of each shift to associate your name with the events recorded in your vehicle.

On Live View, touch the officer name or Unassigned in the upper right corner.
The officer name search screen opens. -
Start entering your name, then touch your name when it appears on the list.
The M500 logs you in.
Home
Home gives you access to M500 functions and system information.
- From Live View, press Home on the Display Control Panel.
| Review: | Opens the review by event feature |

| Status: | Shows current user, system, and network status information |
| Transfer: | Shows the status of event transfer to the evidence management |
system
Login/Logout:| Allows association of officer names with events recorded
during their shifts
Record After the Fact:| Opens the Record-After-the-Fact® (RATF) feature
to allow RATF event creation
Audio:| Allows adjustment of system volumes and wired microphone input
levels
Settings:| Allows adjustment of some system settings
Utilities:| Provides access to some system tools
