- To ensure a trouble-free delivery we recommend that you move any obstacles that could get in the way such as wall art, stairgates, or other furniture.

Potential problem areas
Outdoor area
Don’t forget to measure the space outside your front door. Be mindful of any gates, porches, pathways, flower beds etc. If in an apartment building always remember to check building lobbies, lifts, and hallway measurements before ordering.
Doorways and hallways
Measure all internal doors and doorframes to ensure the items can fit into
your room of choice. Measure all dimensions of the hallway, ensuring the
shortest measurement of your item is less than the width
of the hallway.
Obstructions
It is important to open the doors as far as possible and measure the smallest internal gap. Be mindful of radiators, shelving or any items on your stairwell that could cause obstructions. Also consider any doorhandles, handrails and wall fixtures on your route.
Permanent fixtures
Take note of measurements of any fixed obstacles that may interfere with your delivery. This can include light, wall, or floor fixtures.
Stairways and tight turns
If your route includes any challenging corners or stairwells, check the following:
- Note the width of your stairs at their narrowest point. Check the height of your box and ensure it is smaller than the dimensions of your stairs.
- If your item must turn a tight corner or rotate in a small space, please ensure that the height from the floor to the ceiling in this area is bigger than the width of the box.
If you have a banister that the box needs to be lifted over, please check that the height between the top of the banister and the ceiling allows enough space for the depth of your item.
A clear path
Plan and clear your path. The quickest route may not always be the easiest, so prepare for any tricky turns. Don’t forget to clear your room of choice and make space to place the new furniture. To protect your floor from any accidental damage, ensure it is covered prior to delivery.
Other helpful measurements
If the delivery team will need to use a lift to get to your property, this will also need to be measured. Check if there is a weight restriction in the lift and compare it to the packed weight of your product. Measure the internal dimensions of the lift to ensure that the measurements are greater than the product
- A. Lift Width
- B. Lift Depth
- C. Lift Height
If you have done your checks and are happy that the product will fit, you are ready to place your order.
