Control Unit installation:

  • (a) Be sure that heat-dissipating elements are free to permit air circulation.
  • (b) Avoid direct sunlight.
  • (c) Use the unit connected to the ground kit.

CELL INSTALLATION:

  • (a) The orientation of the cell must always be vertical. The tab marked in the following image is facing the opposite side of the wall.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

Disconnect the power supply from the control panel before handling it.

  • (a) It is very important to ensure that the ground connection is in good condition.
  • (b) Check that you have the appropriate protection elements: Magnetothermic, differential switch, and motor protection for the filtration pump.
  • (c) Connect the equipment power cable to the panel, respecting the phase, neutral, and ground connections.

Note: The electrical connection must be made in such a way that the QUICKSALT chlorinator is started only when the filtration pump is in operation.

Protocol – Unit start-up

  1. Unit installed. Switch off the unit:
  2. Basic water treatment: Modify the values of the main parameters of water. The appropriated values are indicated in the following table.
  3. Salt loading. Introduce the salt directly into the swimming pool and maintain the filtering running for 24 hours.
  4. Chlorine buffer production: Switch on the unit for 24 hours.
  5. Introduction of standard filtering time: Define the usual filtering time. BSV recommends 8 hours of filtering time.
  6. Disinfection customizing: It is possible to modify the production level depending on the user preferences. BSV recommends maintaining 0,5 to 2,5 ppm of FCL in the water.
