Security Precautions

Dear E-bike enthusiasts, for your safety and to prevent safety accidents, please read and follow these tips:

  • When using an electric bicycle, you should obey traffic laws and pay attention to driving safety.
    (a) Persons under the age of 16 are prohibited from driving e-bikes on the road.
    (b) E-bikes should be driven on non-motorized lanes at a speed lower than the maximum speed specified by local laws and regulations.
    (c) Do not lend your e-bike to someone who does not know how to operate it to avoid injury.
    (d) E-bikes should carry people or goods in accordance with laws and regulations.
    (e) It is recommended to wear a helmet when riding.
    (f) If you ride in rain or snow, the braking distance will be extended, so pay attention to slow down and drive slowly, and try to avoid traveling in bad weather such as rainy days.

  • Please pay attention to the safety of e-bikes.
    (a) E-bikes must not be parked in building foyers, evacuation stairs, and sidewalks.
    (b) Electric bicycles should not be charged and parked in residential buildings, should be kept away from combustibles when charging, and the charging time should not be too long.

  • Proper use and maintenance of the battery:
    (a) For first use or long-term storage after purchase, charge the battery for 12 hours. For normal use, charge for 12 hours every two months. When not in use for a long time, please separate the battery from the e-bike power cord and replenish it every half month.
    (b) It is forbidden to short-circuit the positive and negative poles of the input and output terminals of the battery pack.
    (c) Keep away from children, fire and heat sources, and it is strictly forbidden to throw the battery box into the fire.
    (d) It is strictly forbidden to vibrate, impact and squeeze the battery violently.
    (e) Pay attention to waterproofing to prevent the battery pack from being drenched and immersed in water.
    (f) The battery pack should be charged as soon as it is used. When not in use for a long time, be sure to take it out of the e-bike for storage.
    (g) The battery pack should be stored in a clean, dry and ventilated place, avoiding contact with corrosive substances and away from tire sources and heat sources.
    (h) Storage conditions of the battery pack: ambient temperature -20°C~35°C, ambient humidity s65%RH. Battery operating temperature: -10°C-45°C.

  • Safe use of the charger:
    (a) It is forbidden to place any items on the charger.
    (b) It is forbidden to put any liquid or metal into the charger.
    (c) Itis strictly forbidden to disassemble and modify the charger.
    (d) When charging, first plug the output of the charger into the charging port of the battery pack, and then plug the AC plug of the charger into a power outlet.
    (e) Itis forbidden to plug and unplug the power plug with wet hands.
    (f) Do not use the charger when lightning strikes.
    (g) When charging, do not play with the charger and battery pack.
    (h) Do not use the charger in unstable, lampblack, dusty, and excessively humid environments.
    (i) The charger should maintain good ventilation and heat dissipation conditions when working, and avoid using the charger in direct sunlight.
    (i) When the output of the charger is not connected to the battery pack, do not connect the charger to the power supply for a long time.
    (k) During charging, the charger’s indicator light is red. Once the light turns green, continue charging for 2 hours to fully charge.
    (1) The normal charging time is 3-10 hours (no more than 12 hours), charging is not allowed at fast charging stations.

  • Precautions when cleaning:
    (a) When washing the bicycle, do not splash water directly on the brake drum, motor and front and rear axles, so as not to affect its performance and life.
    (b) Do not use steam or high-pressure water hoses when washing your e-bike.
    (c) After cleaning the e-bike or driving in water, pay special attention to the working condition of the brakes. After cleaning or
    driving in water, the braking effect may decrease. At this point, take care of safety when driving slowly.
    Adjust handlebar and saddle (if applicable):
    (a) When adjusting the handlebar or saddle, be careful not to expose the safety line markings of the stem and seatpost.
    (b) After adjusting the horizontal pipe, stem, saddle and seatpost, pay attention to the tightening, the recommended torque is 18NM.

HOW TO CHARGE YOU E-BIKE

CORRECT FITTING . MAKE SURE YOUR HELMET COVERS YOUR FOREHEAD.
INCORRECT FITTING – FOREHEAD IS EXPOSED AND VULNERABLE TO ERIOUS INJURY.

HOW TO START

  1. Press the “M” button 3 seconds to start and then press the button for 3 seconds to close.
  2. After starting up, press the “M” button to switch to display the total mileage, single mileage and battery voltage.
  3. Long press the “1 button to switch to Walk Mode. In this mode the motor will provide continuous power to help you push the the e-bike.

Maintenance and Repair

Daily Maintenance:

  1. The bicycle should be kept clean and wiped with a dry cloth in time after being exposed to fain to avoid rust on parts and short cicuit in electrcal components.

  2. Be sure to check the air storage capacity of the tires to ensure that the tres are in normal use.

  3. The main transmission components such as the front ae, rear axle, bottom bracket,fork, flywheel and electric hub should be checked and acjusted frequentl to keep the transmission companents fleible and free of impact Sound and noise. Please check the screws and nuts of the whole electic bicycle, and tighten them in time if they are found to be loose to prevent the parts from being worn out or causing greater damage and fracture due to loosening,
    Note that the tightening torque of front wheel, handlebar core screw rod, saddle pipe clamping bolt and saddle clamping bolt shall not be less than 18 N.m. The tightening torque of rear wheel, bottom bracket
    cup.and bottom bracket cup lock nut shall not be less than 30 N.m,

  5. Always check whether the operating parts and cable are fleible, and ensure that there is no stagnation and properly drp lubricating oil from one end of the hose slowly, and pull the wire rope at the same time, feel that the wire rope slides lightly in the hose.

  6. The e-bike moving parts should be often injected with a small amount of lubricating oil to reduce wear and Kkeep iding light, a3 shown nthe ollowing tabe:

Regular Maintenance:

  4. The battry is a special battey or eletric bikes. When the e-bike is notinuse for ong time, th battry should be stored ater it hassufcient power,and the power should be replenished regularly to avoid uleanization of the battery due to long-term lack of power.
  5. The battery should not be laced near an open flame or a high-temperature heat source, nor should it be thrown into afire. It s strityforbidden to be dirctly exposed to thesun inhigh temperature ond hot weather.

SAFETY CHECKLIST

Before each ride, the following safety checks must be performed.

1. Brakes

  • Ensure front and rear brakes work property.
  • Ensure brake shoe pads are not over wom and are correctly positioned In relation to the rims.
  • Ensure brake control cables are lubricated, correctly adjusted and display no obvious wear.
  • Ensure brake control levers are lubricated and tightly secured to the handlebar.

2. Wheels and tires

  • Ensure tires are inflated to within the recommended limit as displayed on the tire sidewall.
  • Ensure tires have tread and have no buiges or excessive wear.
  • Ensure rims run ture and have no obvious wobbles or kinks.
  • Ensureall wheel spokes are tight and not broken.
  • Check that axte nuts are tight. If your bicycle Is fitted with quick release axies, make sure locking levers are correctly tensioned and in the closed position.

3. Steering

  • Ensure handlebar and stem are correctly adjusted and tightened, and allow proper steering.
  • Ensure that the handlebars are set correctly in relation to the forks and the direction of travel.
  • Check that the headset locking mechanism is property adjusted and tightened.
  • If the bicycle is fitted with handlebar and extensions, ensure they are properly positioned and tightened.

4. Chain

  • Ensure chain Is olled, clean and runs smoothly.
  • Extra care ts required in wet or dusty conditions.

5. Bearings

  • Ensure all bearings are lubricated, run freely and display no excess movement. grinding or rattfing.
  • Check headset, wheel beerings, pedal bearings and bottom bracket bearings.

6.Cranks and Pedals

  • Ensure pedals are securely tightened to the cranks.
  • Ensure cranks are securely tightened to the axle and are not bent.

7. Derailleurs

  • Check the front and rear mechanisms are adjusted and function property.
  • Ensure shift and brake levers are attached to handlebar, shift and brake.
  • Ensure derailleurs, shift levers and shift and brake cables are property lubricated.

8. Frame and Fork

  • Check the frame and fork are not bent or broken.
  • If either are bent or broken, they should be replaced.

9. Accessories

  • Ensure that all reflectors are mounted correctly and are not obscured.
  • Ensure that all other accessories on the bike are correctly and securely fastened and in working order.
  • Ensure the rider is wearing a helmet.

10, Motor Drive Assembly and Throttle

  • Ensure all motor drive components are correctly mounted and functioning properly.

11. Battery Pack

  • Ensure the batteries are in good operation condition and kept fully charged.
