Door Preparation

  1. Check door thickness and Door Frame. Door frame: 110mm, Door thickness: 35~55mm
  2. Check door opening direction.

Installation Instructions

  1. According to the map drilling holes on the door.
  2. Install the deadbolt with screws.
  3. Install front panel.
  4. Install mounting plate with screws on the door.
  5. Install back panel.
  6. Install 4 x AA Alkaline batteries.
  7. Mark and drill hole for strike plate.

Pair the Lock with Tuya App

In the initial state, the lock can be unlocked by any fingerprint. Please pair your lock with Tuya App by following below steps before using the lock.

  1. Tuya App Installation and Account Registration
  2. Download the Tuya Smart App from Google play store or Apple store.
  3. Install Tuya App and register an account with your phone number or email.

FAQ

Q: Can the lock be operated without using the mobile app?
A: Yes, the lock can also be operated using fingerprints and mechanical keys in addition to the mobile app.

Note:

  1. This lock is equipped with mechanical keys for manual unlocking. Remove mechanical keys from the package and keep them in a safe place and always have access to them.
  2. To power on the lock, 4 x AA Alkaline batteries (included) are required.
  3. This lock is used outdoors and indoors. The waterproof rating: IP45
  4. Keep your fingers clean when using this lock, and use your whole fingerprint to unlock the door.
    Please read this manual before operating the smart lock, and keep it for further reference.

Features

Door Preparation

  1. Check door thickness and Door Frame.
  2. Door frame≧110mm
  3. Door thickness: 35~55mm
  4. Check door opening direction.

Installation Instructions

  1. According to the map drilling holes on the door

  2. Note:

  3. Check the required backset (60mm or 70mm).

  4. Align the template along the vertical center line of the single latch (D) at the desired height,and tape it to the door.

  5. Mark the holes first, then start drilling

  6. Install the deadbolt (D) with screws (E).
    Note : To change deadbolt from 60mm to 70mm, twist the barrel clockwise, pull it out, and then twist anti clockwise to lock into the 70mm position

  7. Install front panel (A).

  8. Install mounting plate (B) with screws (G) on the door.

  9. Install back panel (C).

  10. Install 4 x AA Alkaline batteries.

  11. Install 4 x AA Alkaline batteries. After installing batteries, the lock will automatically recognize left or right opening to match your door. Then test the lock by rotating the knob on back panel or using mechanical key to confirm smooth unlocking / locking before using the lock.

  12. Mark and drill hole for strike plate(K).

Pair the Lock with Tuya App

In the initial state, the lock can be unlocked by any fingerprint. Please pair your lock with Tuya App by following below steps before using the lock.

Tuya App Installation and Account Registration

  1. Download the “Tuya Smart” App from Google play store or Apple store.
  2. Install Tuya App and register an account with your phone number or email.
    Note : The App supports Android 4.3 / IOS7.0 version and above.

Pair the lock with Tuya App

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.

  2. Open Tuya App. App will automatically search and display\ device that can be added. When you see the device(named “SEPOX 2001”), click “Add”, the lock is added successfully, you can rename the lock. Finally click “Done”.
    You can also add the lock manually: Open App – click “Add device” – “Camera & Lock” under “Electrical” bar – click the icon “Lock(BLE)” – “Next” – App search the device that can be add and automatically add it, and click “Done”. Note:

  3. After successfully pairing, Tuya App on your phone becomes Administrator of the lock.

  4. If you do not find the lock on App when pairing, please reset the lock (refer to “Resetting” on page 11, Mothed 2) first. Then you can pair the lock by following the steps above.

  5. Once you pair the lock with your App account, the lock will not be able to link to other accounts, unless you remove the lock from your App

Lock’s Operation on App

After pairing the lock with App, you can find the lock on the home page of App. Click the lock “SEPOX 2001” to enter operation page, tap and hold the icon to unlock.
The lock is auto-lock for default. It means the lock will lock automatically 10 seconds after unlock. If you want to close auto-lock, please refer to “Passage Mode” setting on page 9

Home Management & Member Management

If you set your own fingerprint for unlocking the lock, you can skip “Home Management & Member Management” setting and refer to “Fingerprint Setting” on page 9 to directly set for yourself.
If you set unlock permissions for family members or others, you should creat a home and add members at first.

After creating a home, you can add the lock to the corresponding room.

Member Management

There are Family Members and Other Members in Member Management.

Family Member

  • You can add family members as Administrators or Common Members. Once added, the permission of family members is permanent until they are removed.
  • Administrator: manage device and room, manage smart setting, manage members. If a family member is set as administrator, this administrator need to have a Tuya account. Administrators can set fingerprint for themselves, common members or other members.
  • Common Member: only use the device, use the smart setting. Common members don’t need to have a Tuya account.
  • When binding the Tuya account of family members (administrator or common members), an invitation will be sent to the account owner, account owner will become family member and be able to use relevant App functions of this lock after accepting the invitation.

Other Member (for example, visitor)

  • Other members don’t need to have Tuya account. They can unlock the lock via fingerprint or mobile phone after otaining the permission from the administrator.
  • Validity: valid period of permission can be set to be permanent or timed by the Administrator.
  • If the member has a tuya account, the account can be bound by the administrator to use the device sharing function. The user can unlock the lock via App or set his/her own fingerprint on App.

Fingerprint Setting
To set fingerprint by following steps: Fingerprint Management – Add Fingerprint – Select User – Start Capturing – Place finger on recognition area of lock (need to repeat several times) –Name it & click Done

Unlocking Records
To view unlocking records.

Passage Mode

  • The lock is auto-lock for default. It means that the lock will lock automatically 10 seconds after unlocking.
  • Passage mode, the lock will not lock automatically after unlocking.

Turn on the Passage Mode
Turn on the passage mode via App as below, the phone should be nearby the lock.

  1. Under passage mode, you can temporarily close the lock with valid fingerprints, by turning the knob on back panel, by pressing button , or by using a mechanical key.
  2. Turn off the Passage Mode
    When passage mode is on, you can enable automatic lock on App to turn off passage mode.
    The “auto lock delay time” can be set from 10 seconds to 14 minutes

Operation Instructions

Unlock

  • Via fingerprint: Place a valid fingerprint on fingerprint reader to unlock.
  • Via Tuya App: Tap and hold the icon on App to unlock.
  • Via knob: Manually twist the knob on back panel to unlock.
  • Via : Press the button on back panel to unlock.
  • Via key: Use a sucker to remove the cover of keyhole on the front panel, then insert the key to unlock

Lock
The lock is auto-lock for default, it will lock automatically 10 seconds after unlock. You can quickly close the lock by any of following methods when the lock is open.

  • Via fingerprint: When the lock is unlock, place a valid fingerprint on fingerprint reader to lock
  • Via Tuya App: Tap and hold the icon on App to lock
  • Via knob: Manually twist the knob on back panel to lock.
  • Via : Press the button on back panel to lock.
  • Via key: Use a sucker to remove the cover of keyhole on the front panel, then insert the key to lock.

Resetting

There are two methods to reset the lock.
Method 1: Remove the lock from App (The phone should be nearby the lock.)

  1. Enter the interface of lock on App, and click the icon on the upper right corner.
  2. Click “Remove Device” – Click “Disconnect and wipe data” – Click “Confirm”.

Method 2: Reset on the lock

  • Remove one of the batteries.
  • Press and hold the button on back panel without release, then install the battery back.
  • When hearing the lock prompts 10 short beeps & 1 long beep within about 10 seconds, release the finger form button.
  • Reset successful
