With your purchase, you have chosen a high-quality product. Be sure to familiarise yourself with the product before installing it and putting it into operation. Please read the following installation and safety instructions carefully. Use the product only as described and for the specified areas of application. Keep this manual in a safe place. Please also hand over all documents to third parties when passing on the product.

This article is intended to provide protection against insects such as flies in private homes. Any use other than the one described above or modifications to the product are not permitted and may result in injury and/or damage to the product. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from improper user damage caused during installation. This product is not intended for commercial use. Using this product during frost may damage it

Do not lean against the product. This product is not a reliable exit barrier and must not be used as a replacement for a closed window or door. Only attach the product to windows and doors which can be accessed safely. Do not lean out of the window / door or against the product and do not push against the insect screen from inside when attaching, removing or cleaning the product.

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY!
Incorrect assembly and the use of unsuitable tools can present a risk of injury. Use work gloves if necessary. The product may only be assembled and operated by individuals who have familiarised themselves with the instructions and are able to install the product independently. Incomplete assembly kits or damaged parts may under no circumstances be used for assembly. This could impair the operation and safety of the product. Keep the product and all flammable parts away from heat sources and fire.

Keep the packaging in a safe place as it contains important information.

6. Cleaning and care

• Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Clean the mesh and frame with a lint-free, slightly moistened cloth.
• Regularly take the retractable insect screen off the window and clean it thoroughly.
• If necessary, use a mild detergent.

7. Disposal

The packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials. Dispose of it using local recycling containers. You can find out how to dispose of the used up product by contacting your municipality or town council.

10. FAQ

Is this insect repellent product suitable for mounting between window and roller shutter?
Yes, provided that the space between window and roller shutter is sufficient. The corresponding dimensions can be found in the respective product information/technical data.

What can I do if parts are missing from the kit or defective?
If you find that a part listed in the scope of delivery is missing or defective, please inform us by sending the item number of your product and the purchase receipt via e-mail to office@smartmaxx.info or use our contact form.
Within the warranty period, you will receive a replacement free of charge.

What is the best way to shorten profiles?
Preferably, use an iron saw to shorten profiles. Place the parts in a mitre box, fix them in place without crushing them, if necessary with a screw clamp, to achieve an precise, straight cut. As a safety precaution, we recommend wearing work gloves. Width (B) and height (H) are the inside dimensions of the window (from one interior edge of the window frame to the other).

What is important when installing the clamping strips?
The mesh must not be tensioned additionally when mounting the clamping strips. The clamping process causes the fabric to tension itself. Additional tension can cause distortion of the frame.
We recommend to first fix the clamping strips to the longitudinal and then to the wide sides of the frame.
