Product presentation
The NUM’AXES electronic stereo hearing protection CAS1034 B is in conformity with the standard EN 3521 : 2002 ; EN 352-4 : 2001 + A1 : 2005; EN 352-8 : 2008 and regulation 2016/425/EU. Its certificate was delivered by the notified body PZT GmbH - Notified body number: 1974 - Notified body address: Bismarckstraße 264 b - D-26389 Wilhelmshaven - GERMANY.
The NUM’AXES CAS1034 B headset attenuates loud noises that could otherwise
damage your hearing. It protects you against the risk of damage to your
hearing and hearing loss from repeated exposure to loud noises. It is
triggered when the noise level reaches 75 dB and reduces these noises on
average by 27 dB (SNR). The sound reproduction of this earmuff also depends on
the external sound level. This earmuff provides level-dependent and
entertainment audio facilities. It can also amplify external noise by up to
three times (conversation, animal, noises, natural sounds, ect).
It provides ideal protection and allows warning signals to be heard even in
very noisy environments. Examples of typical applications:
– Metalworking (metalwork/cutting)
– The construction
– Rail maintenance
– The wood industry (pruning/felling)
– Hunting and shooting
– The DIY
– Gardening…
- Headband
- Microphone
- Cups
- Cushions
- ON/OFF button + sound adjustment
The headband and the cushions are the parts of the headset which are in touch
with the user. ABS and PU are an aggregate headband & cushions’ materials.
Also, the headband force is not adjustable, and cushions are not replaceable.
Subject to normal conditions of storage, use, cleaning, and regular
maintenance, the expiration date of your earmuff is 5 years (from the date of
purchase). Remember to have your earmuffs revised annually by a professional.
Inserting or removing batteries
The battery housing is situated inside the cup not possessing the button ON/OFF of your headset. Lift the foam inside the headset cup and install 2 LR03 batteries. Observe the polarity indicated in the battery housing.
- Polarity +
- Polarity –
- Foam
- 2 LR03 AAA batteries
Whenever batteries are low, the red led (that lies on the cup) intensity fades. The more your batteries are getting low, the more the red light is going to fade. Whenever batteries are low, the headset does not turn and the low natural sounds are not anymore amplified. Then you need to replace the batteries. Please follow the previous section’s procedure.
Putting on the headset
The headband has two independent settings. Tighten the headband then adjust it
until the cups are correctly positioned on your ears. For maximum efficiency,
the headband must be perfectly adjusted and the ear pads must provide a
perfect seal over your ears.
Tip: remember to slacken your headset before taking it off.
Turning the headset on and off
To turn your headset on, simply turn the button ON/OFF situated on the right
cup in a clockwise direction. A light “click” will tell you that you have just
turned the headset on. The red led situated on the right cup turns on.
To turn off your headset, turn the button in an anticlockwise direction. A
light “click” will tell you that you have just turned the headset cup off. The
red led situated on the right cup turns off.
Adjusting the sound amplification
To amplify the sound, once your headset is turned on, simply continue turning the button ON/OFF situated on the right cup in a clockwise direction. Low environmental noises will be amplified up to three times, if you turn the button up to the maximum.
