This symbol reminds you of the possible consequences of touching
electrostatically sensitive components.
Information
Identifies practical tips and useful information. No information that warns
about potentially dangerous or harmful functions is contained.
1.2 Purpose of the document
This document serves as an extension to the installation manual of the charging station and describes the installation of the floor-mounted-column.
Information
All safety notes and instructions contained in the installation manual of the charging station must be observed!
1.3 Requirements
This document contains information for persons with the following requirements:
1.4 Intended use
The floor-mounted-column is used for free-standing installation of a charging station indoors or outdoors.
1.5 Notes on this document
The manual is part of the product. It is to be retained over the entire life cycle of the product and should be forwarded to any subsequent owners or users of the product.
The instructions contained in this manual must be followed precisely. Failure to do so could result in the creation of potential sources of danger or the disabling of safety devices. Apart from the safety instructions given in this manual, the safety precautions and accident prevention measures appropriate to the situation in question must also be observed.
2 Overview variants
WARNING!
Danger due to electric shock!
The V2/V3 floor-mounted column must always be fitted with two charging
stations! There can be no open cable openings in the column.
3 Location requirements
WARNING!
Risk of death or serious bodily injury
The listed specifications for location selection, construction requirements
and precautionary measures must be observed.
It is mandatory to consider the following location requirements:
- All of the location requirements for the charging station in the installation manual of the charging station must be adhered to!
- When mounting the floor-mounted columns in parking spaces or parking garages, appropriate anti-collision protection must be provided by the customer.
Concrete foundation
-
The calculation, design and manufacture of the concrete founcation lies in the scope of responsibility of the producer of the site.
-
A horizontal, level and sound foundation is required for installation. To ensure safe and permanent anchoring, we recommend creating a concrete foundation:
Length: 65 cm
Width: 50 cm
Depth: min. frost limit but > 40 cm
Concrete: C30/37 LP for XC4, XD1, XF4 or
C25/30 LP for XC4, XD1, XF2
Reinforced concrete: BSt 500 S; BSt 500 M -
The base must permit the running off of any water that has entered the base.
-
All cables must be laid precisely in the centre of the concrete foundation from the base and must have an excess length of approx. 1.5 m for the remaining installation activities.
-
During the production of the concrete foundation, the cables must be protected against damage using appropriate measures (e.g., a protective tube). The protective tube must have an excess length of approx. 25 cm above the concrete foundation.
-
Mounting the column on asphalt is not allowed!
4 Mounting and installation instructions
The respective national regulations must be observed for the installation of the pedestal. The following steps are necessary:
- Drill mounting holes
- Assemble pedestal
- Install charging station
Depending on the design and number of charging stations, a different number of connection cables and empty pipes in the concrete foundation must be taken into account.
If the charging station is installed with a pluggable supply line (e.g. for demonstration purposes), sufficient strain relief and edge protection must be provided for the supply line.
The following materials are required for anchoring the pedestal in the concrete foundation:
- 6 pieces hexagon screws
- 6 pieces Hilti HKD-ER M8x30 compact dowels (included in delivery)
4.1 Drill mounting holes
To drill the mounting holes in the concrete foundation, proceed as follows:
-
Mark the 6 holes on the concrete foundation using the base plate of the pedestal. Make sure that the connection cables are located exactly under the opening of the base plate of the pedestal.
-
Drill the 6 mounting holes:
Bohrlochdurchmesser: 10 mm
Borhlochtiefe: 33 mm -
Hammer the enclosed dowels using the Hilti HSD-G manual setting tool (not included in the scope of delivery) so that they are flush with the floor.
4.2 Assemble pedestal
To assemble the pedestal proceed as follows:
- Thread the connection cables from the bottom through the column upwards through the cable opening.
- Position the column directly over the cable outlet.
- Anchor the column to the foundation using the 6 hexagon bolts.
- If necessary, connect the earthing to the column’s grounding point.
4.3 Mount charging stationTo mount the charging station proceed as follows:
- Remove the edge protection on the cable opening of the column immediately before installing the charging station
- Mount the charging stations on the column using the enclosed screws.
- Perform the electrical connection and commissioning in accordance with the instructions in the “Installation Manual” of the charging station.
- Mount the holder for the charging cable on the floor-mounted column below the charging station using two screws 1
